Question:

I have a Prius and a Schwinn 26 inch meridian adult trike. Is there a hauling system that would work? Thanks

All of the hitches for the Toyota Prius are Class I hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers, so as long as you have a Class I trailer hitch you can use Hollywood Racks Sport Rider # HR1000Z-R (for longer wheelbases) or # HR1000Z and then add Trike Adapter, # HRTRK-ADP, to carry the trike. This set up is Class I compatible. I have linked instructions for you on the racks and adapter.

You will need to stay within the 200 pound tongue weight rating of a class I hitch or the tongue weight rating of your vehicle, whichever is less. This information is available in your owner's manual.

If you need a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch # 24847, as it does not require any drilling to install and it is a popular seller for the Prius models. You can view the included link to the hitch installation instructions for reference.

I have included an installation video of this hitch on a 2014 Prius for you to check out.
