Best 2013 Chevrolet Expresss Van Hitch Options

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2013 Chevrolet Express van. The most popular is going to be the Curt Class 3. This is part number 13040. We'll follow that up with the Draw-Tite Class 5. This is part number 41946. Just behind that we're going to have the Curt Class 5.

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Express Van

Today on this 2013 Chevrolet Express Van we're going to install part number RM-1109-175. To make things a little easier we went ahead and lifted up the van by the frame. To make things easier to see and do we've already went ahead and lifted the van by the frame. You could do this on the ground but you would have to lift up the axle and remove your tires to do this. Now first up to go ahead and enlarge these holes on the shock bracket on the axle up to a half an inch. At this point we're almost ready to install a sway bar. This bracket or this reinforcement gets installed right here.

Michelin Stealth Wiper Blades Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Express Van

Today in the 2013 Chevrolet Express van we're going to install part number MCH8022 from Michelin. A couple things to know about the Stealth Wiper Blade is that the rounded shape keeps it aerodynamic, or prevents the wiper from being lifted by the wind. Also, the blade itself has a graphite coating that helps keep a quiet wiping action. To start off, go ahead and remove the original wiper blades. There's a small button right here that's typical that you push in or pull down to release it from the arm. Then we can install our new wiper blade.

  • 7-Way and Brake Controller Wiring Recommendation for a 2013 Chevy Express Van
  • You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118392. Check out the install video I attached as well. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake...

  • Recommended Brake Controller And Trailer Wiring For 2013 Chevrolet Express Van
  • The first thing we need to know is if you have a factory towing package on your Express Van. If you have the towing package there will be a capped round plug behind the bumper on the drivers side frame rail. You can use part # HM40975. Just connect it to the plug you find under your van and you will have a 4-way connector and 7-way connector. If you do not have the towing package you will need to add a 4-way connector like the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector,...

  • Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 2013 Chevy Express Van
  • What I would recommend you get is a Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 55540. This wiring kit plugs inline with the tail lights of your vehicle and will activate the trailer lights of your small trailer. Curt has determined that you do not necessarily need a powered unit like the Hopkins Converters # 46255 or # 46365 and since your trailer only has two lights on it I think the # 55540 would work well for you. The main difference between the # 46255 and the # 46365 is that the # 46365...

  • Tire Chain Recommendations for a 2012 or 2013 Chevy Express 15 Passenger Van
  • I went by a 2013 Chevy Express Van and put it through our fit guide to find chains. There are two tire size options listed, 245/70-17 and 245/75-16. I will provide some recommendations for each size for you. First for the 245/70-17 if you plan on infrequent use then going with a set of cables, # PW3010C, with rubber adjusters # PW99 would be the way to go. Cables are great if you seldom need chains and/or live in an area where chains are not required by law. For frequent use and/or...

  • The correct wire that you will need when installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195, on your 2013 Chevrolet Express Van is actually located behind the passenger side dash. This is the location of the Body Control Module (BCM) on the Express Van. In order to access the BCM, you will need to remove the lower section of the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle. You will need the light blue with white stripe wire that is coming out of the brown connector. Before...

  • How to Install Rola Platypus Rooftop Cargo Bag # 59100 on 2013 Chevrolet Express Van
  • The Rola Platypus Rooftop Cargo Bag # 59100 that you referenced installs on a vehicle using its 8 built-in strap attachments. If the vehicle has a roof rack or roof side rails the straps will attach to these points; if it has a roof cargo basket then the straps can be attached to the basket. If your Express has a naked roof (without any hardware) then there are other similar soft cargo bags that can mount directly to the van without need for a roof rack or basket. The link provided will...

  • Brake Controller and 7-Way Install on 2013 Chevy Express w/ Tow Pakage
  • I'm assuming your Express doesn't have the 7-way, but does have the capped round plug behind the bumper on the drivers side frame rail, you'll install part # 30955. Simply remove the cap and plug the connector in. To wire up the controller itself, you'll need an install kit like part # 5506. The controller would mount under the dash, within reach of the driver preferably to the right of the steering column so its not jostled by the driver getting in and out of the vehicle. The blue...

  • Timbren 1 inch Spacers for 2013 Chevy Express With Heavier Springs
  • The Timbren kit for your 2013 Chevy Express van is the part # TGMRG25C which is supposed to get bolted to the cup and not just pressed in there. With the right kit installed properly you could use the 1 inch spacer part # A25723-90AH00 to make up for the suspension of your van being lifted. You will need to fix your current setup to match how it is supposed to be installed.

  • Tire Chains for Use on a 2013 Chevy Express Van with 245/75-16 Tires
  • For a one time, week long trip to Colorado Springs I would just go with some cable style chains, # PW2021C with rubber adjusters # PW99. The cables are no a big investment and it sounds like you will only need them a short time anyway so the cables are a good way to go. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you. I recommend doing a test fit once you get the chains so you are familiar with the process ahead of time. Being stuck on the side of the road in...

I have linked all the wiring harnesses for your specific vehicle for you convenience.

  • Installation Difficulty for Carr Step for Cargo Vans # CARR501050
  • I reviewed the installation instructions for the Carr Step for Cargo Vans # CARR501050 and installation of this step will certainly be easier if you have a helper, but with the right tools and equipment it is still possible to do it alone. Some drilling is required. Naturally having the vehicle elevated for better access to the frame will make things much easier. I would estimate that a first-time installation will take an hour to an hour and a half. The step weighs about 40-lbs and...

  • Adapter to Convert 2013 Chevrolet Express Van from 4-Pole to 7-Way Trailer Connector
  • We have just what you need. To convert your van's 4-pole flat trailer connector to a 7-way format to match your trailer you can use adapter # 37185 from Hopkins. This simply plugs in to the 4-pole on the van and provides BOTH a 4-pole output and a 7-way output socket in one housing. This way you do not have to remove the adapter when you next pull a trailer with 4-pole wiring. A mounting bracket is included. If you ever need to make the additional connections for trailer brakes,...

  • If your 2014 32 ft Coachman RV was built on a 2500 or 3500 cutaway chassis the steering stabilizer part # RM-RBK17-RSSC that you referenced would fit and work well. Most Class C motorhomes are built on the 3500 chassis so this should be the correct product.
