Factory Brake Controller Port on a 2005 Dodge Dakota with Factory 7-Way Trailer Connector

Question:

I cant find the plug-in port for my towing package to accomodate my tekonsha voyager brake controller. I saw the picture posted for a 2006 dakota and do not see any empty ports, blue or othrwise that will accept the harness. It is a factory or dealer installed port as the 7/4 pin and plug-ins are both stamped Chrysler and the harness appear to be original. Truck is a southern bought 2 owner vehicle, very clean with 70,000ish miles, so it is easy to tell what is original. I cant find the window sticker any more, but am certain it had the tow package option on it.

The factory harness that you will plug into for a brake controller will be located underneath the dash and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. The connector on the vehicle can be hard to see sometimes, especially if it is tucked up, hidden behind another harness or component. You might have to fish for it above the emergency brake pedal. It is also possible that it has fallen behind the driver side kick panel to the left of the emergency brake pedal.
