Will a Reese Weight Distribution System Fit a 2012 Jayco Skylark A-Frame Trailer

Question:

I will be towing with a 2008 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Total towing weight 3500 lbs and 350 TW. I will be towing a 2012 Jayco Skylark trailer with a narrow A frame at the front of the trailer. Will the part number above fit my trailer ? It looks like it will ? Thank You.

I want to say that a Reese Steadi-Flex system, like # 66557, would probably fit your trailer frame, but I have to wonder exactly how narrow it is. A standard A-frame is has frame rails at a 50 degree angle.

If the frame rails themselves are too narrow, it will not fit because the bolts where it attaches to the frame can only be tightened so far. In this regard, I spoke with my contact at Reese and he stated that if the frame width is less than 2 inches, it will not fit without replacement grade 5 or better 5/8 inch bolts that are threaded all the way to the bolt head.

If the frame itself is narrow meaning the frame rails are close together at the front of the trailer, it should probably still work. As long as you follow the installation instructions, linked for reference, for the distance from the coupler to hang the spring bars, it should still work.
