Is Motorcycle Carrier AMC6002 Compatible with a 2008 Jeep Wrangler with Large Spare Tire

Hi, I really like this rack however I have one concern. I have a Jeep Wrangler 2008 that has large spare tire attached to the rear gate so from the end of the hitch to the outher end of tire there is a 11 space. Would your carier have enogh clearance so the bike closer to the wehicle would not be obstructed ? Thanks

The # AMC6002 motorcycle carrier has a clearance of 18 inches from the hitch pin hole, to the center of the first track, which would be the center of the first bike.
With 11 inches of space, you should have room to use the motorcycle carrier on your 2008 Jeep Wrangler, but I would recommend that you take a few measurements just to be certain.
First, measure from your hitch pin hole to a point past your spare tire, to ensure this measurement is still less than 18 inches.
You can also measure 18 out from the hitch pin hole, and transfer this measurement to the ground. Put the heaviest bike, the one that you will have closest to the rear of the vehicle, at the 18 inch position on the ground. This will allow you to make sure the bike will not come in contact with anything on the rear of the vehicle, when you have the carrier in the raised position.
You will also want to make sure that you are remaining within the tongue weight capacity constraints for your 2008 Jeep Wrangler, which should be around 300lbs. The weight of the carrier, approximately 69 pounds, plus the weight of the motorcycles must equal less than your tongue weight capacity.
