Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Hyundai Accent - Hidden Hitch

Today, we have a 2011 Hyundai Accent and were going to show you how to install a trailer hitch step by step. We have a Hidden Hitch 1-1/4-inch Hitch, part number 60819. Before we get started with our installation, were going to give a couple of measurements that will be useful when selecting accessories to go with your hitch. From our hitch pinhole to the outermost part of our bumper, it measures 5-1/4 inches. Our height measurement from the ground to the top of the inside of the receiver tube measures 10-3/4 inches. Now, we can get started with our installation.



Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack System using part numbers Y00699, Y00124, and Y00408. To begin our test fit. We'll simply open all four doors on our vehicle. We can then set the front crossbar on top of the roof. In order to find the location for our front crossbar, we will need to do a measurement. We'll measure from the top of the windshield back on our roof, 6 inches.



Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent well be test fitting the Yakima frontloader wheel mount bike carrier, part number Y02103. To begin our test fit well place the head of the bike rack over the top of the front crossbar. We can then move the rear mount directly over the rear crossbar and bring the clamp around underneath and loosely secure it to the rear crossbar. Well then move back to the head of the bike rack, and using the black knob on the front of the bike rack well tighten it down. That will secure the head. We can then move back to the rear mount where well secure it with the wing nut, and now our bike rack is ready for our bike.



Yakima Roof Rack Fairing Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the 44-inch Fairing for Yakima Roof Rack Crossbars, part number Y07048. With our vehicle equipped with the Yakima crossbars, we'll simply slide the fairing over the front crossbar using the four hooks included with the fairing. We can then secure it at the two outer hooks with our wing nuts. With the two wing nuts secured, our fairing is secured to the vehicle and ready to deflect wind. That completes our test fit of the 44-inch Fairing for Yakima Roof Rack Crossbars, part number Y07048, on our 2011 Hyundai Accent.



Thule T2 Platform Style Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the Thule T2 Platform Style Bike Carrier, part number TH917XTR. With our vehicle equipped with 1-1/4-inch hitch, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, we'll go ahead and put the locking mechanism on the other side, securing it to the vehicle. At this point, you'll notice when the bike rack is in the stored position, it does come in contact with the back of the vehicle. In order to use this bike rack, we would have to fold the platform down to install it into our vehicle.



Thule Raceway Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Carrier, part number TH9001. To begin our test fit, we will need to pop the trunk. With that trunk popped, we can go ahead and bring the carrier up and set it in place on our deck lid. We'll then put the two top straps in at the top of the deck lid between the deck lid and the rear window. We can then make them taunt. With the top straps in place, we'll bring the bottom straps down and hook it to the bottom of our deck lid.



Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent well be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro, part number TH934XTR. To begin our test fit well simply install the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and insert and tighten down our inaudible 0:00:15:5 bolt. That will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the back of the bike rack is eight inches, and from the closet point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is six inches. Well now go ahead and open our trunk.



Swagman XTC2 Wheel Mount Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, well be test fitting part number S64670, the Swagman XTC2 2-bike carrier for both 1 -inch and 2-inch hitches. Now our Accent has a 1 -inch class 1 hitch so well remove the adapter bar from our bike rack and were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, well put the safety pin on the other side which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 12 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 3 inches.



Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on 2011 Hyundai Accent well be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4-Bike carrier part number S63410. This bike rack will work with both 1 -inch and with the included adapter 2-inch hitches. Please note, when using with a class 1 hitch, you are limited to two bikes. With our vehicle equipped with 1 -inch hitch, we removed the adapter and were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, we can put the pin in on the other side which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle.



RockyMounts PitchFork Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts Pitchfork Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part #RKY0438. And our vehicle's equipped with a Yakima Roof Rack system, so we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll place the head of the bike rack directly over the front crossbar. We can then use the clamp to go under the crossbar and using the included Allen wrench and bolts will tighten it down loosely at first. We'll then move to the rear mount while we'll put it directly over the rear crossbar and bring the clamp underneath then secure using the wing nuts. With our rear mount secure, we'll move back to the front crossbar and tighten down the front head of our bike rack with our Allen wrench.



Pro Series Q-Slot Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting part #PS63134 the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style Bike Carrier. To begin our install, we'll slide the bike rack into the hitch. We'll line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. We can then put our safety clip on the other side of the pin securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack 11 inches.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2011 Hyundai Accent, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20x48 cargo carrier for both inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches part #C18145. Now, our vehicle is equipped with a inch and a quarter hitch. We removed the included adapter from our cargo carrier and we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll insert the cargo carrier shank into the hitch and line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti-rattle bolt. Today we have a 2011 Hyundai Accent and we are going to show you how to install a trailer hitch step-by-step. We have a draw-tite 1-1/4 hitch, part number 24760. Before we get started with our installation, we are going to give you a couple of measurements to be useful when selecting accessories to go with your hitch. From our hitch pin hole to the outermost part of our bumper measures 5-1/4. Our height measurement from the ground to the top of the inside of the receiver tube measures 10-3/4. Now we can get started with our installation, first what we need to do is identify the locations where we are going to attach our hardware.



SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today, we're going to show you how the SportRack 2 Bike EZ Mounted Platform-Style Bike Carrier looks and fits on our 2011 Hyundai Accent. The Accent that we're working with today has an aftermarket class 1 draw-tight trailer hitch on it so we've gone ahead and removed the 2-inch adapter bushing that come provided with the bike carrier. So the first thing we'll be going to show you is how to install the bike rack into the trailer hitch, and to do that, we simply take the shank of the bike rack, insert it inside the receiver of the trailer hitch, align the threaded hole in the bike shank with the pin hole in the receiver hitch, and install the anti-sway bolt. The anti-sway bolt not only provides security to hold the bike rack into the trailer hitch but also takes all the sway and rattles out of the bike rack/receiver hitch combination. Now, with the bike rack is currently into the folded up position and even in this folded up position, we do still have full access to our trunk here. When we're ready to go ahead and use it to carry your bike, we can go ahead and fold it down and we do that by simply releasing the pins here on the sides and reinserting them to hold them into place.



Rhode Gear Highway Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today, we're going to show you how the Rhode Gear Highway 2 Bike Carrier, product number RG8015220 looks and fits on our 2011 Hyundai Accent. Our Hyundai Accent here is equipped with an aftermarket class 1 draw-tight trailer hitch on it. We've gone ahead and remove the 2-inch pushing adapter that comes and sold along the bike rack. When you're ready to install the bike rack, you simply take the shank into the bike rack and go ahead and insert it inside the receiver of the trailer hitch. Go ahead and align the threaded hole in the bike rack with the pin hole in the trailer hitch, and install the anti-sway bolt. You can see the anti-sway bolt, not only for bike security to keep the bike rack inside the trailer hitch, but also works to eliminate the sway and rattle in the bike rack hitch combination.



Thule Helium Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today we are going to show you how the Thule Helium Aluminum 2 Bike Carrier, part number th970xt looks and fits on our 2011 Hyundai Accent. The Hyundai Accent that we are going to be working with today has an after market class one Draw Tite Trailer Hitch installed on it. So weve gone ahead and removed the 2 bushing adapter from the bike carrier. To install the bike rack we simply slide the shank of the bike rack inside the hitch, align the pin hole in the bike rack with the pin hole in the trailer hitch, install the safety clip on the side, and tighten down the anti-sway know right here at the front. The anti-sway knob works not only to provide security from the bike rack being stolen, but also takes all the rattle and sway out of the bike rack, trailer hitch combination. With the bike rack now installed inside the trailer hitch weve got right at 8 of clearance in between the lowest point of the bike rack and the ground, and 8 as well between the bumper and the closest point on the up right bar.



Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2011 Hyundai Accent

Today we're going to show you how the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style Bike Carrier, product number TH990XT looks and fits on our 2011 Hyundai Accent. The Accent that we're working with today has an aftermarket class 1 Draw Tite Trailer Hitch on it so we've gone ahead and removed the 2-inch adapter bushing from our bike carrier and we're ready to install it. We simply insert the bike carrier into the trailer hitch, align the threaded hole to the shank of the bike carrier with the pin hole in the trailer hitch and insert the anti-sway bolt. You can see that the anti-sway bolt not only provides security to keep the bike rack inside the trailer hitch but also it takes all of the rattle out of the bike rack trailer hitch combination. With the bike rack now installed we've got 8 inches of clearance in between the lowest point of the bike rack and the ground. And we've got right about 5 inches of clearance in between the tire cradle and the rear of the trunk.
