Get the safest and most comfortable ride while hauling your camper with tie-downs that mount on the frame of your pickup. Great for your truck's looks: remove the arms from the brackets and you'll hardly know that the brackets are there.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be installing Torklift's custom framed mounted camper tie downs for the rear. These camper tie downs are gonna provide you with secure anchor point to get your camper strapped down to the back of your truck. This is even better than when mounting it to the bed because you distribute the weight to the frame, and it helps keep it more stable and less top heavy. These tie downs are custom fit for your Silverado 2500. They're specifically designed to work with the Torklift super hitch, which is also custom fit for your Silverado. The tie down insert has two holes, one towards the front and the rear, and it's also offset to help ensure you get the best clearance for your truck.
You can see how much space we've got here between our truck, so we can ensure that our turn buckle is not gonna come into contact with the truck when driving down the road. You can see all the space we have here between our turn buckle and our trucks. We can be sure that we won't have any scratches or abrasions from the turn buckle when going down the road. When you're done using your camper you can easily remove your turn buckles, and to get a more factory look when you're not using it, you can pull the insets out. Simply release the pin and it'll just slide right out. Now you can barely even notice it's there, so your truck's got a nice factory look.I've already got our spare tire down and out of the way.
This will give us more room to see and to work. It's not necessary, but it will make the install easier. On your super hitch you probably have an L bracket located right there that connects into the side plate and into our spring perch up here. You're gonna need to remove that L bracket in order to install our camper tie downs. There's just two bolts here and one here, and you're gonna use a 19-mm socket and wrench to remove those and an 18-mm for the upper one.Next we're gonna need to fish some hardware into our spring perch.
I've already got one fished in. What you're seeing sticking out there is a 7/16 bolt with a star washer on it followed by a 1 x 2 spacer plate. Now if you had your L bracket here, there would likely already be one of these bolts with the exact same combination sticking down in this hole here. If not and you're installing this, you're gonna need one in each hole here, so we're gonna use the included coil wire. We're gonna push it up through that hole and come out the back side of the spring perch.
Here on the back we're gonna thread on our assembly that we preassembled there, and we're gonna put our assembly inside the spring perch and use the coiled wire to pull it down through the hole. You'll repeat this same process for the other hole on this side and then both holes on the other side. We'll now get our camper tie down in position. Our tie down should be placed with the tube that's here on the side of the bracket towards the front of the vehicle and the L bracket-y half towards the back. So we're gonna slide that up, making sure not to push our bolts back up into the perch. We're then gonna use a flat washer, lock washer and nut, and these are gonna be the smaller ones that come in the kit. We don't wanna fully tighten it; we just wanna hold it up there. We're gonna do the same thing on the other bolt sticking down here. We'll now take the larger bolts that come in the kit. We're gonna place a flat washer on it, slide it from the inside of the hitch out here in our slotted holes. We're gonna do that for each hole. On the other side of our bolt we're gonna place a flat washer, lock washer, and nut. We can now go back and tighten down all of our hardware. We're gonna start with the ones going up into the perch with an 18-mm socket, and we're gonna switch to a 19-mm-hmm (affirmative) socket and wrench for our side plates. We can now go back and torque all of our hardware to the specifications found in our instructions. We can now take our tie down inserts. You see there's two holes here that we can use to insert our pin, depending on the length that we need. I'm gonna go ahead and slide them in the end of our tube, place our pin all the way through the tube and our insert here, bring over the lock and snap it in place. Now you also wanna make sure that your insert you're sliding in is offset towards the rear and that the holes are above the tube. There's stickers that come included with your kit, so once you've got it in the appropriate location you can label that. So when you take it out you'll always remember quickly which one it goes back into. And that completes our installation of Torklift's custom frame mounted camper tie downs for the rear on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.

Get the safest and most comfortable ride while hauling your camper with tie-downs that mount on the frame of your pickup. In retrospect I could not do what I wanted with the truck and hitch so I spent the money needlessly. Not any fault of your company. I would have been just as well to leave the stock OEM and not spent the money anyway. Live and learn.
I have purchased many TorkLift products from eTrailer, all of which have performed as expected. The installation instructions are thorough and easy to follow. eTrailer product support and customer service is second to none. Thank you for your continued reliability.
Instructions were straightforward, installation was easy as expected. Didn't need to jack the truck up or anything - just crawl under and bolt on. Easy. Perfect fit for my 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD
The application took dexterity in fishing bolts/spacers and washers through the frame. That is the price to pay for a drill-less install.
Harry and Harriet Homeowner can install this in their garage without a lift.
The final result is excellent - inconspicuous and strong on our 2015 GMC 3500HD
Fit perfect and tie down a heavy truck camper.
Front and rear Torklift tie downs worked as advertised. Installation was straight forward on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500HD.

Love them and easy to install
The frame brackets have been working great although the tiedowns took a turn after eight months
Installation was relatively easy, although it would help to have an extra set of hands. Thought that I was missing a part, but it was just packaged separately and I found it at the bottom of the box!
Everything that I have purchased from etrailer came in on time went together easily no problems at all

To help extend the life of your tie-downs and prevent further rust, you can clean off the rust at the edges and cover any bare metal spots with a black, rust-inhibiting spray paint.
