Love this product! Installed it on my 94 Mercury Villager. Now I can see how close I am to vehicles, curbs and/or trailers when backing up. Very helpful, highly recommend this.

Well the mirror is still stuck onto our GLK 350 rear window and in great condition here in Canada; it made it through all four seasons, from summer through to spring.

It has been useful for hitching up our tent trailer and for parallel parking so as to not bump the vehicle behind.

One consideration to have before buying would be that the distance in view behind the vehicle is quite limited. To use it effectively the vehicle needs to be moving very slowly. This is not really a backup camera substitute but rather a trusty tool for trailer-hitching and slow, careful maneuvering.

As always, the ordering process from etrailer was flawless, shipping was fast and the item was well-packaged. The mirror and hardware are all high quality, but it didn't provide much help aligning my 5th wheel hitch to the trailer when I attached it to the truck rear window. I have a sliding rear window, so I had to attach it off-center on the window, which put the image of the hitch on the edge of the convex mirror, causing it to be so distorted that I really couldn't tell where the trailer pin was in relation to the hitch.

I removed the mirror mount from the rear window by sawing through the adhesive pad with fishing string, applied some double sided trim tape to the mount and reattached it centered on the pin box on the trailer.

The image of the hitch is less distorted now, so it does provide some help, but I don't think it's optimum. It is a fairly low cost option that might be OK for some folks, especially if you can attach it to the center of your window, but I think I will eventually mount a camera back there.

Mini vans before reversing camera are no longer backing up with a blind spot directly in the lower middle. I have seen many mini van with a dent on the rear facing door and I immediately know what the cause was. Blind spot! This mirror is awesome.

by: Tim T08/18/2017

I was very happy with the item. I did not expect it to be of such good quality. I will be using it to guide my 5th wheel rv onto the hitch. I have a supercab f150 and cannot see the coupler from the driver's seat.

I will definitely use etrailer in the future.

Great product. This will save serious time hooking up, fully adjustable. Will also save many trips in & out of the tow vehicle. Thanks again.

Still good as new. No complaints.

Still good as new. Great product

Although I followed directions to the letter in applying the mirror, it fell off within 2 months. Not worth the money I spent on it.

I bought the trailer mirrors for my Jeep Grand Cherokee to pull my pull behind trailer. See pictures. The mirrors attach easily and securely and shake very little when driving. I need them mostly when backing up and I can see where the trailer tires are going. The mirrors do not adjust easily but when you do they stay in place. What I especially like is the size of the mirrors and having two independent mirrors.

by: Chris09/25/2015

Pros: Very easy to install. Will fit on almost anything.

Cons: Bit of a challenge to adjust the in/out tilt on fixed mirror housings. Would like a little more height, but it's OK.

This is a good solution for the casual user like me. Installation is painless. If you need more control over height or tilt, this is not for you.

2014 GMC Sierra fit perfect. Bought one for each side. No problems during my 1500 mile journey. Outside mirror gave me notice, inside mirror means dont change lanes. I would have had a wreck had it not been for these mirrors. Also, kept me from getting a ticket.

by: Ross07/13/2017

To start, great price and fits my 2015 explorer very well. Easy to put on and have had no problems highway speeds and all.

As most mirrors do there is a bit of shake but I expected such.

My only reason for 3 stars is when I ordered I ordered 2 mirrors for both sides of vehicle.

When package was delivered it was on the mirror box and looked a little rough shape. The mirror was fine but was definitely a concern when opening.

On top of the mirror being shipped on original packaging as you would likely find on a shelf in a store there was no foam or anything to protect it but It did arrive fine.

My last thing is that only 1 mirror was delivered.

They were very quick to correct this and get me the other in as soon as possible and very polite. And the missing mirror can packed in a box with padding and made me very happy to see that.

I would give a 5 star review on everything if I received both and packed better but the mirrors are great and would order again.

Just put them on. Very easy fit is good. I can’t say anything else because I have not pulled my camper yet. We are going to N Carolina for mother’s day. So we will see how they perform on the road. They are well made and sturdy. Better than I expected. So for now 4 stars after trip I will revisit and hopefully go to 5 stars. These went on. 2006 Kia Sorento

Received my mirrors quickly and they seem to be a good fit for my 2016 Jeep Cherokee. I have not used them yet as a towing mirror for my trailer trailer. I have been using your custom slide on towing mirrors for my 2008 Dodge truck for many years, and they fit and perform perfectly. Good quality product.

After a year and several thousand miles am still pleased with their performance.

by: Bonnie08/17/2017

Their website is awesome! We were sold because of the website. We wanted to make sure these mirror extenders would work with our car make and model. Darned if they didn't have a video starring our exact make and model! To top it all off shipping, economy I think it's called, was lightning fast. I was concerned it would take weeks to get it. I mean we all know what "economy" means in real life... Not here! I highly recommend etrailer!

Bonnie

8/17/2018

Yes we love them and we just bought another pair that are one solid mirror. Fabulous product!

by: Dick05/03/2018

I needed extended mirrors for my 2017 Pacifica and couldn't find anything with a typical search.
Because I purchased my hitch from etrailer which I am very pleased with.
I looked up the mirrors there and they had them at a very fair price.
They were delivered very quickly.
The mirrors were easy to setup and adjust.
I can't wait to use them.

Not working. The mirrors were hard to get to stay tight and I could not trust them. I never used them.

by: William06/14/2015

I have 2015 Ford F150. Nothing from Ford out on market yet. Towing mirrors from previous truck did not fit. These do the trick. Seems to be sturdy and the straps hold tight. A little stiff in adjusting mirrors but that could be new-ness.

I have a 2015 also. How are they working? Will be towing 32 foot travel trailer? Thanks for help

Used first time this month on trip to TN. Held on sturdy enough and a little stiff to adjust but once in place, seemed to do the trick.

by: Art01/25/2018

I am VERY satisfied with this product. I tow a 21' travel trailer behind a 2016 Chevy Colorado LT crew cab and wouldn't be without these mirror extensions. The obvious advantage is the view to the rear of the trailer eliminating the dangerous blindspots to the sides of the trailer. The only problem I have with these mirrors is that the mounting is a little too flexible which requires some adjustment each time I install the mirrors, but that is a very minor inconvenience which I have become accustomed to.

by: Rich C.06/12/2017

fits on my Jeep Grand Cherokee mirrors very well....not too much vibration while traveling.....I put velcro strips on the straps to keep them from flapping about. I like the split mirror, makes it easy to get both views of the back of the camper

by: Huston05/27/2016

This mirror worked to some extent, however, it did not sit on the factory OEM mirrors of my vehicle very well. Also, I had to adjust the actual mirrors within this assembly each time I placed them on my vehicle. And then found myself adjusting them as I'm towing my RV to our vacation destination. The mirrors seem to adjust on their own due to vibration from the vehicle is in motion.

by: Victoria G06/07/2013

As mentioned in previous reviews, the mirror does shake while traveling but not nearly as bad as I thought it would. It's perfect for guiding yourself when backing up into a spot. Just make sure you have it secured on the top AND the bottom of your side mirror or it will eventually fall off. (Luckily, we were in the campgrounds when ours fell off--no damage)

Work great pulling a 8.5 foot wide pontoon!

by: Don E08/30/2012

This was bought for a popup camper. Fits well and doesn't jiggle on the open road. Greatly helps in seeing around the trailer. I tape down the holding straps that face forward into the wind. I drive a Nissan Frontier and started to buy a permanent larger mirror. Glad I didn't. Just take this one off and attach it on as you need it.

by: Tom B07/10/2017

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The product fulfils the DOT requirements of having an extended mirror when pulling a trailer. The mirrors vibration is a bit annoying and they don't maintain the adjustment for viewing for long when driving. The outside bevelled mirror however is helpful for checking the blind spot before changing lanes. Also, if you adjust the mirrors right before backing up they are very helpful.

by: Karen03/02/2018

We are new trailer owners and the mirrors will be helpful for our safety and give us piece of mind. Thank you for making our purchase go so smoothly.

Karen

The mirrors are working great!

by: Bruce J09/20/2017

The view takes some getting used to. With your vehicles mirror you will see three different views. I like to use this on my left side when pulling a camper. The wide angle allows me to see down the road and is good for seeing down the side on the camper when backing up. Ray on and off. I use zip ties to help stabilize the mirror.

by: Francois05/13/2016

work as promise
I hear complaint about
shaking, okay there is a little shaking but no worst than my 66 Chevy., I know what is going on. When I backup it does not shake.

Once I got it all adjusted, I place a piece of tape for the driver side. The next time it's no effort. I took the trailer out for camping 10 time last year all I had to do is clip-on.

Like it will stick with it.

Cheers all, I hope that reassure you.

by: John P08/06/2017

These worked well on both side mirrors of my 2016 Colorado with a 7 foot wide RV trailer.

John P.

8/6/2018

These mirrors allow me to see alongside the 7 foot wide RV however, I would have liked them to be a little wider for a better view. Mount to the trucks mirrors is quite firm, but there is quite a bit of vibration of the extension mirrors at speed 55 mph. Could probably be cured by heavier mounting arms.

by: Raymond07/23/2018

Clips do not fit between mirror and housing. While driving the vibration in mirror makes it difficult to see things. Difficult to adjust to proper angle.

We do offer full replacement towing mirrors for the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I recommend K-source extendable mirror part # KS62135-36G because they have a heating feature for use during inclement weather and an LED turn signal built in. Please keep in mind with any replacement towing mirror you run the risk of losing original functionalities of the OEM mirrors.

by: Rick R.08/30/2017

This mirror just came in the mail today. Fits great on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The jeep has the power to pull my 17' Ultracraft boat, just couldn't see behind the boat with the factory installed mirrors. This mirror should allow me to see what is following me. Looking forward to getting the boat back on the water.

Easy to install and a good tight fit.

by: John10/03/2018

This is our second set of towing mirrors. The first set which hooked on without the securing straps, did not survive the first RV trip. At 60 miles per hour, the passenger mirror flew off hitting the side of our truck. The next time we went camping we saw these mirrors on our friend's truck. He said he was very happy with them. I ordered them immediately when we got home. These extend from 7 to 10 inches by adjusting the knobs to open the arms. They were easy to put on the truck's mirrors. Looks like they will be perfect.

by: Jeff 09/24/2018

So far the product meets my needs and expectations! Very happy with the product. The mirrors fit my Highlander and work well when pulling my 18' travel trailer.

Jeff

10/11/2019

The mirrors have been transferred to our new towing vehicle, a Ram 1500. They continue to serve us well when we tow our travel trailer.

by: Wesley B.10/28/2017

Great idea, great concept, and great execution. With the added extension, I am able to see where I couldn't before. Next step is the road test.

One minor con is I do wish the clips that go into the original vehicle mirror housing were 1) thinner, to fit better between the mirror and the housing, 2) wider, to allow for a better hold on the mirror housing, 3) longer, to allow for a sure grip on the mirror housing.

As for ETrailer.com, they are the best. I don't even look around any more. I just start with ETrailer, and I know if they don't have what I need, it will be hard to find.

Thank you Etrailer.com, you came through again
