Coupled with some 2 in angle screwed into 5/4 rough oak, allows right offset to lower hinge body below deck line for welding onto rear box tube. Gate pulls off and leaves nothing protruding for sliding in cargo.
Also, then it leaves a great positive secure engagement point for motorcycle ramp attachment. Sweet product!
George: Sorry it has taken this long to get a review back to you but just finished my project. Converted my 5 x 8 tilt trailer to one with a rear Gate by using your hinges. Worked perfectly.

One thing for me though....
I had to buy different fenders because I bought better tires and rims for this new axle which turned out to be slightly wider.
So the original fender would have cut into the tires.
I got everything from etrailer. Axle with brakes fully assembled, controller, fenders, wire harness, connections tires, time and more...and couldn't be happier with cust service, pricing and availability.
The hinges work like they should. Customer service is top-tier. If you have a problem, they will fix it ASAP.
Hey there! Other than accidentally welding in the wrong spot one time, these are absolutely the greatest hinges I've ever found, and at a great price. Currently assembling my 5th motorcycle trailer in the last two years, and would recommend these 3 at a time, for strength of ramps for large american bikes, that occasionally weigh as much as 1100 lbs... and have yet to break a hinge, though I did break a weld once (obviously my fault for a junky weld that time).... Great product, great service, quick responses. Thanks for being a great company. Will be ordering again!!!!
I've been using etrailer for the past 10 years and have never been disappointed. I'm using this product to make a VW bus side car for my scooter and it is exactly what I'm looking for. In the past I've used many different towing hitches and every one has been top notch and the cost, shipping and product quality has been great. I'd like to give a shout out to the customer service department but to be honest, I've never had to use them. Cheers!

Worked like a charm! Welded this in to replace a seized-up hinge pin. Perfect fit AND a grease fitting to ensure long service and smooth operation. Etrailer shipping is super fast. Very pleased.
I think these will do what I want! My trailer came with a non removable drop gate. At times I would like to take drop gate off so I can get a wheel barrel close to shovel mulch into it. I believe I should be able to weld these on the cut original hinges off allowing that to happen!
Product is just as pictured, nice quality, and should work well. I bought three of these to use on a trailer ramp/tailgate. It was cheaper for me to buy these, than spend the time turning them up on the lathe, plus the cost of materials.
Received product 4 days after placing order. Using product to replace a hinge on a trailer gate that was damaged.

no issues with the hinge after having it a year
Great trailer door replacement hindge I ordered 3 thinking they would not hold the weight of my ramp door on my sled trailer after welding two in place i think the third was overkill. Easy to use worked like silk great thing with the zerk fitting for grease every season.
I welded each half to a piece of angle iron and bolted one half to the trailer frame and the other half to the ramp. Worked great and the because they are greaseable I think they will work for many years.
Very satisfied with the weld on hinges I received; these are being used for drop leafs on a welding table. The additional 48 x 16 inch leafs are dead level, flat and square to the rest of the table surface. Definitely will use these again for future projects.
Quality product. It's machined very well and has nice fitment on the grease fittings. Shipping was quick and with tracking. This is my third order with etrailer, and all have been great.

I was astounded that my hinges showed up in the same week I ordered them, and I was very pleased with the quality of the parts, especially have the zerk fitting option!! This lock set is still working very well, originally I think it was designed to be able to lock both top and bottom of the doors, I redesigned my doors so that they lock on the bottom only and the top helps keep the sides from getting sprung from pressure on the sides pushing out, all parts still work like the day they were installed and the lock is tight enough the doors dont rattle while towing
I purchased two of the Universal Cam-Door Lock for Enclosed Trailers - 38320. I used them to close barn doors that are 80" by 80" each. The cam -Door Lock works great for these doors. All the parts are very heavy duty. The Cam-Door Locks closes the doors very firmly against the frame from top to bottom, keeping the doors even and level. I have also used this kit to close doors on a wood drying kiln where the doors have to tightly seal. Again, they work great to apply the needed amount of closing pressure to engage the weather seals. This kit is a good buy where you need to close doors with firm pressure.

We have used the Cam-Lock for three generations of our Rapid Deployment Units (RDU Trailers). These RDUs are shipped all over the world and as often as not are deployed into challenging environments. The Cam-Lock system proved to be a rugged and reliable way to protect and secure the hatches over the battery compartments.

Great product! Purchased this to make custom rear doors for a Food Truck, and this works exactly as described and like we need it to. This product requires a separate bar, for which we used stainless steel conduit, as well as welding experience to put it all together. I had to have help with the welding and the overall assembly, which I why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 - not something the general jack-of-most-trades can use, but overall I'm very satisfied with this product, and would definitely recommend it if you have the skills or have access to the skills needed to put it on!
This product was great in the creation of our Honey Warmer. The CAM LOCK has created a locking door system on our insulated doors that will keep a tight seal to hold in the heat we need to warm our honey for processing.
As a class project our students were designing and building a canoe hauling trailer for a local outreach camp. This kit worked great and looks great too.

I bought a used Pace trailer with a broken lock latch. Could not find anyone in Northern Michigan to fix it. Went on line at Pace, received the part in a few days. Very pleased. A lot more parts in the package than I needed but the price was still great.

The parts were exactly as described and working well.
This works great. I bought a 14 foot enclosed trailer, with a side swing door. I turned it into a drop door, but I needed hardware for the locking system. Then I found the latch system on etrailer.com. Easy to install, and the video tells you everything you need to know as well. Took me literally 10 minutes to put everything on. Great, great, great!!!

I think the cam lock assemblies are jut the ticket. They are just what I needed for the trailer/toy hauler I built. I do wonder why the great big box for two little boxes? LOL
I will definately think of ya'll when I need parts in the future. I do have one question. Do you carry add-on electric barkes that would fit on a common car hauling flatbed 16' trailer?
The trailer door hinge lock works great. The only complaint I had was the ends don't fit the pipe very snug so i drilled and tapped some holes and added set screws.
Everything is well constructed however i will not be able to use them as the add did not have enough info and they will not fit the trailer i have. I ordered 3 sets and the add states will work on any enclosed trailer however they will not fit in place of the old ones as the bolt holes do not line up. I was only replacing as mine were rusted and i do not want to drill holes in a trailer that is only 3 years old just because the old ones are rusted.
A great product. Installed it on a side door of a Wells Cargo trailer to provide some security while the trailer is out of the lot. I would definitely buy this product again. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures and the trailer is on the road already.

Hard to believe its been a year since I bought these. I still have not used them to made the door closers. It will happen this spring for sure. As for the kit itself, it was complete and I think the material strong enough to do the job.
great kit to replace your worn out latch. obviously it doesnt come with the cross bar and this is NOT something you can just snap together in your driveway, well thats unless your home garage is a mini shop!
