- Will the Westin Rocker Bars Work with the Factory Front Fender Flare Extension 1998 Jeep TJI spoke to my contact at Westin Automotive and they informed me that the front fender flare extension piece you are referring to will need to be removed in order to install the Westin Trailblazer Rocker Bars part # 42-4005 on your 1998 Jeep TJ as the two components would interfere with one another.

Looks like you hold the bars to the vehicle frame, create a template to use for drilling the frame, and then attach with hardware that attaches to the frame.
