Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K-Source custom extendable towing mirror. This is going to be a great addition if you frequently tow, or if you only tell every once in a while, and you would still like the benefit of having a mirror that is going to extend your line of sight so you can more easily and safely pass other vehicles, change lanes, park, really anything that you're going to need to do when you're towing. This mirror is going to make it safer and easier because you're going to be able to see your trailer. So you know how much room you have to work with.This is going to be a custom fit for your 2004 through 2014 Ford F150 as well as your 2010 through 2014 Ford F150 Raptor.

It is going to replace your factory passenger side, side view mirror on your vehicle. One of the benefits of a mirror like this over some of your other towing mirror options that may snap on or strap onto your factory mirror. So this is going to be a permanent option. Those other mirrors you have to put them on when you're towing and then take them off when you're not towing. This being mounted onto your truck at all times is going to be one less thing that you have to worry about when you go to tow, hooking, everything up, you won't have to worry about fitting your mirror set.This mirror does have the telescoping feature so we can extend it out, up to three and a half inches farther away from our vehicle, which is going to give us an even better angle to see our trailer.

You can see on the bottom here, we also have that built-in spotter mirror, which is a convex lens. So it's going to help even further reduce risk of blind spots, not seeing other vehicles as they're approaching us, anything like that. So we're even safer, more confident while we're driving. When we're done towing, we can simply slide it back together like that. And it resumed its normal function.This mirror does have the hinge feature.

So if we're going into a parking garage or another small parking space like that, and we need to, we can easily fold the mirrors up against our F150 so that we are able to fit into that tighter space. The mirrors are manual adjustment, so you can simply push on the corners to get them to view whatever you're needing. It's going to make it very easy when you're towing, simply adjust your mirror so that you can see what you need to see. We've got a durable black plastic textured housing here. It's going to look really nice on our vehicle and it's going to hold up really well.And as far as the installation, it's going to be very simple, we've got the same footprint as the original factory mirror.

So once we have our old mirror removed, we can simply put this in its place. All the hardware is included. The hardest part of getting this installed is probably going to be, gaining access to your original factory mirrors hardware. You are going to have to remove some of your trim panels to get back to that. But once you have access, it's going to be very easy to get this one put on in its place. This is just the passenger side mirror. Our spotter mirror is also eight inches wide and it is three and one eighth of an inch tall. When we have our mirror extended out, it's going to be 22 and a half inches away from our vehicle when we have it retracted like it is now, our outside edge here is going to be 19 inches away from our vehicle.
