Today we're going to be taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror for the driver's side of the vehicle. This product fits certain years and models of Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. You can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com to see if this is a fit for your particular year, make and model. The side-view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on the vehicle. It is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It's going to feature power remote capability.
That way you can adjust the mirror face position by using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle. It's going to have a heated mirror glass, which is doing to do a great job at clearing frost and ice, and reduce fogging. That's going to be a OE grade flat glass with first surface plating to reflect clear images, so the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, and then the flat lens reflect true representation of the object's size. It does feature a breakaway design, so if it's struck from the front or from the back, it will fold to help deter breakage. We're looking at a nice, durable, plastic housing with a black finish. This portion up here can be painted to match the vehicle if desired, and then down here it's got the nice, textured black finish. It's an easy no-drill installation.
It's going to use your same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. It's got the wiring, so that way the mirror can plug into the existing electrical wiring. The mounting unit's going to have 3 mounting studs, and each stud is going to come with a nut that goes with it. The original equipment or OE number is 20843177, and please keep in mind that the power remote capability and heated glass on the mirror will work only if your vehicle is already equipped with those functions. This mirror does not support the memory or power folding functions, and it does not have the puddle lamp.
