This hitch lock works flawlessly! The gray cover over the lock keeps out dirt and corrosion even in Maine winters where road salt is notorious for causing rust and corrosion.

Tip: Occasionally squirt a little WD-40 into the lock cylinder and using the gray cover keeps it working like new!1180988

The lock after a year works great! The shaft is showing some minor surface rust after being attached all year.

This is a cargo platform assembled and attached to my 2003 Honda Element. I purchased all the items from etrailer I have to fill and load the Rola Tuffbak Cargo bag later to test it out on platform.

I want to mention, ordering all my items was easy with the help of the customer service people. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and really answered every question I had. I try my best to study and compare items before I purchase them. I assembled and installed them all as just one guy taking hos time to do that. This hitch setup is top notch! Very heavy duty. I went with this setup over cheaper similar options because those other 3 piece options that are similar just seemed clunky and held together by a lot pins with lose tolerances (IE recipe for wiggling and rattling), not to mention multiple stress points. This B&W unit is sleek and solid, no wiggling around, and tucks up out of the way nicely when not in use...which is more handy than you would think!

We are using this on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn with factory air suspension.417248

I purchased this Tow Ready Trailer Hitch Lock a year ago and used it quite a bit since then. I use it on two trailers at different times, an 8500 lbs travel trailer, and a 12,500 lbs. Car hauler. Works like a charm. Keep the key cylinder mechanism lubed and no issues. Easy to use. Its sturdy and of high quality. Last, it provides a high level of security for my expensive weight distribution hitch. 797376

The locking hitch pin continues to work perfectly regardless of the weather. It is a quality product!

It is a very nice trailer hitch lock. The thing I like best about it is due to the tapered end, it self aligns the holes in tje receiver. If it had an attachment strap to keep up with the rubber cup that goes over the lock, it would be great.548570

After a year of use Ive had no issues at all. I use this locking hitch pin a couple of times per month.

Combined this with the Curt trailer hitch and the ETrailer 20 cuft cargo bag.
Set this up on my 2016 Rav 4 and used it on a 2000 mile trip to Yellowstone. IT was a great combination. The cargo rack is quite sturdy and the ability to fold up when not in use was super handy. We encountered rain and snow on our trip and the inside of our cargo bag was always completely dry. When the bag was filled to capacity I was still able to open my lift gate with no problem.366796

Works fine. Just don't try to get any extra keys made. I looked far and wide without success. I did find a locksmith who basically made a key from a blank that was close but it took him quite a while to reshape the blank. So it was expensive.97732

the lock works great and gives me peace of mind every time I take my trailer or bike hitch somewhere I have never been before. I would recommend this product with no hesitation.

Looked around at a few local stores and nobody had exactly what I was looking for. Took me 5 min on etrailer.com to find everything exactly as I wanted. Everything was in stock. Placed my order on a Wednesday. Got free shipping to be delivered the following Monday and to my surprise Everything arrived in perfect condition 3 days early on Friday. I'm giving this an excellent rating in spite of the fact mine was faulty. etrailer was quick to respond to the issue and have sent me out a new one already free of charge. (That's how to take care of a customer!!!)
What was wrong with it? It is the big locking pin inside the lock. I'm not sure if it just needs lube they forgot to put on at the factory or something but you can tap the lock on a piece of wood it and it pops into lock position like it should. I think it's merely one of those metal-on-metaI issues. I was sure I could lube it and fix the issue but etrailer insisted sending out a new one. They wanted me to have one that worked flawlessly as apparently every one they have had before does it's job just fine. (This tell me a lot about a company when they truly stand behind everything they offer.)

I don't know about you but I've been around a LOT of locks in my life and this one is very high quality. You can tell when you put the key in the mechanism and turn it just how well the parts are machined and put together. This is also one rugged lock. Besides the small space for the locking mechanism this thing is basically one solid chunk of metal. Nobody is going to get this thing off without a key!

This lock comes with a weather cap too to keep the water, mud and bugs from camping out in the locking mechanism.

I highly recommend this product and most definitely recommend buying your trailer needs through etrailer!185706

Perfect for the job. We had been locking our bikes to the bike carrier and only recently realized that someone could steal the entire carrier with the bikes locked to it by simply removing the pin that secures the bike rack to the trailer hitch and taking the whole thing!

I like the way this lock operates. Simply turn the key and remove the lock. A nice feature is that the lock snaps on nicely without the key having to be installed. Also not shown is a vinyl molded cover that slides over the lock to prevent dirt, rain, etc. from getting into the lock cylinder. Very nice!103610

I tow a boat trailer and a utility trailer at least 85 times per year. I purchased this receiver pin and lock because, after 16 years, I lost the keys to my old one which was the very same brand. It's easy to use and a squirt of WD-40 in the key-way periodically keeps it working like new. I confess, I don't leave it in the receiver when I'm not towing mainly because I have a habit of banging my chin on the receiver and tow ball! GOOD PRODUCT, EASY TO USE AND LAST FOR YEARS. Word of advice, record your key number in case you loose them. 255542

Great pin, solid lock. It' s a bit long(1.5" extra room). I put a rubbery sleeve on the pin before putting the lock on... the rubbery sleeve gets compressed and the pin does not rattle and move...412931

It works our great, I just keep the pin on the hitch carrier all the time...

Love this locking pin. It keeps the valuable ball hitch from being taken off while still letting me move it easily.

My only wish is that the rubber cover for the key end were attached to the lock. It seems to hold relatively well but when working on it, I dropped the cover because my hands became full. Not a big deal and I will change the way I work with it but if it were attached, it would be better.

Looking for a simple, no nonsense hitch lock for a 2" receiver to secure a hitch mount bike rack and is cost effective. This hitch lock fits the bill on all fronts, without bells and whistles to complicate taking the rack on and off when not needed.223672

Its been a year since we installed these locks and they still work ok. They are rusty but work ok.
