  • Complete Soft Top System
  • Black
  • Bestop

  • No Doors

A new twist on an old classic, the Supertop NX is a complete replacement soft top for your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The luxurious twill fabric top is super soft yet extremely durable. It installs easily with OEM-style hardware, and it even has a built-in sunroof.

Specs:

  • Color: matte black
  • Limited lifetime warranty

The Bestop Supertop NX marks a new generation of fabric soft top for your vehicle. This soft top comes complete with all hardware necessary for installation, including Bestop's patented BeltRail attachment system. So all you need is the Jeep, and Bestop provides the rest.

Bestop SupertopNX sailcloth fabric diagram

The Supertop NX features the heaviest fabric Bestop has ever used in a soft top. It's constructed of 3 layers - twill on the outside, a butyl rubber waterproofing middle layer and textured twill on the inside. This unique blend gives the wrinkle-resistant twill top a softer, more luxurious feel than even Bestop's premium sailcloth fabric, and it's more heavy-duty to boot. This flexible, 30-ounce fabric blend reduces road noise, resists mildew and harsh UV rays, insulates your Jeep interior, and it's less susceptible to cold cracking and stress-whitening.

Bestop SupertopNX OEM-style hardware

The inclusion of OEM-style hardware and the BeltRail attachment system really sets the Supertop NX apart from the competition - and even from earlier versions of the Supertop. The hardware is made of high-strength steel and composite plastic for durability, and its simplified design makes this top much easier to install.

Bestop SupertopNX bow knuckles

Spring-loaded, quick-release bow knuckles make the initial setup of the top - and adjustments along the way - a snap. Simply pull the pin, insert the bow plate and release the pin to snap your hardware into place.

Bestop SupertopNX bow adjustment plates

An improvement over the old bow hardware design is the addition of bow adjustment plates. They provide different options for positioning the quick-release bow knuckles, enabling you to adjust the fabric tension. This keeps the cloth taut and prevents it from flapping in the wind.

Bestop SupertopNX top arch barBestop SupertopNX arch bar installed

Supertop NX also includes an anodized aluminum top arch bar that spans the length of your cab near the windshield. This bar attaches to the door surrounds and keeps the top from sagging, minimizing puddling and helping the fabric to maintain its shape.

Bestop SupertopNX door surroundBestop SupertopNX door surround top bar attachment points

The driver's- and passenger's-side, OEM-style door surrounds install in seconds and include BeltRail channels that provide strong attachment points for your top. The door surrounds create an excellent seal against the elements, and they include mounting points for the top arch bar.

Bestop SupertopNX sunroof hardwareBestop SupertopNX sunroof opened

The Supertop NX borrows a little something from another Bestop top - the Sunrider - by including a built-in, fold-back sunroof. The front section of the top, over the cab, folds back in seconds when you release the latches in the windshield channel, providing you with a little sunshine.

For even more open-air exhilaration, the Supertop NX features zip-out side and rear windows. These 61-percent tinted, DOT-compliant vinyl windows also insulate the interior of your Jeep from the sun on those really hot days. At 40 mil thick, the windows are the thickest Bestop has ever offered in a Jeep soft top.

Bestop SupertopNX tailgate bar

The Supertop NX includes a handy tailgate bar that lets you get to the rear cargo area of your Jeep without opening the rear window.

Bestop SupertopNX folded down behind seat

For complete open-air driving, the Supertop NX folds down to conveniently store behind the rear seats of your Jeep. This allows you the freedom to enjoy the sunshine without the burden of completely removing and then reinstalling the top.

Video Transcript for Bestop Supertop NX Jeep Soft Top Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I'm gonna walk you through how to install the Bestop Supertop NX Soft Top for Jeeps. This is what our top is gonna look like once it's installed, this is going to be a direct replacement for a soft top that you may have had that maybe wore out and you're wanting to replace it. It's gonna be made out of a durable twill. When you compare this to some of the older styles, I had an older Jeep, I had 98 Sahara that had a soft top on it, and the fabric this is made out of is much thicker.

I actually did a wind test with one of these before to see, we got out on the highway, to see how much movement it would have, because I know in my old one, when you would drive down the highway, it'd flutter a lot and make a lot of noise. You're in a Jeep, you got the doors off, whatever, it really doesn't bother you too much. However, if you don't like the noise, put one of these on, there's a lot less noise with them. I guarantee you that when you have the doors off, you have this top on, or completely covered up on the top, you're not gonna get that much noise because of the thickness of the fabric. Now, there's different kinds of tops that you can get for your Jeep.

You can get tops that just cover the cab area and then it has a strip that comes down and you strap it around your back bars, so your back would be open. There's tops that just allow you to fold the top back, or this front piece back, to give you a sunroof. Or, you have tops like this, which not only allow you to fold the front back to give you this sunroof, but it also allows you to fold it all the way back if you want complete open air. It will store on the vehicle, it does not have to be completely taken off when you're wanting to fold it all the way down. Kit is gonna come with everything needed to get it installed.

It's gonna come with tinted windows, which is gonna allow the inside of the vehicle to stay much cooler on those really hot days when you have the doors on, you wanna leave the windows up, air conditioning on. Also with a thicker fabric, it's gonna help retain that cool air inside. Keep in mind, the top is not gonna come with these soft doors. If you wanna get the soft doors that match top, you can find those here at etrailer. However, adding a soft top on does not keep you from using your factory hard doors.

Our back window is gonna have a rubber seal that runs all the way across it so when we close our door, it's gonna seal that edge. Now, we've talked about how it actually folds, let's go ahead and show you how to do it. We're gonna start here at the back door. We're gonna pop these two out, we're gonna slide this out. You're gonna have a zipper on each side. We're gonna roll it up about to this line, if we need to go farther, we can. We're gonna take this and we're gonna roll it. In your kit, you're gonna get a strap. Gonna look like this, you're gonna get one for each end. On the inside here, on this rail, there's a snap. We're gonna snap it on. We're gonna take this and go around, like this. Notice that this is a bungee. It's a soft bungee so we don't have to worry about the window getting damaged or anything like that. Take the other one. And then we can store our window up like that if we don't want to fold the whole top back. If we want to pull the whole top back, we got to remove our side window, and before we do that, we're gonna go ahead and show you how to fold the sunroof back. Just to get us the sunroof, we're gonna unflip it at the front, we're gonna push up here on the corners, and we're gonna fold it back just like that. You're gonna have two bows, one here in the front, and one that goes across the back seats. When you fold your top back, you can take these out if you want but you don't have to. To take them out, simply push in like that and pull them out. And that's just to support the center part of your top so that water doesn't pool up on it. Now, you don't have to take them out necessarily if you pulled your top back. I suggest doing that because this foam pad here, one, as the sun beats down on it, it's gonna deteriorate and it's gonna start breaking apart. Two, if you get a lot of dirt on here and debris, when you go to put your top back on, as it sits there, you go to take your top off, you're gonna have a dirt line across the inside of your top. So, they're easy to take off, I suggest taking them off. This is gonna give you your sunroof, basically. To fold it all the way back, you're gonna have a little lever here on each side. We're gonna pull it like that, and that will release these arms. We're gonna open our rear door. We're gonna unzip it, pull it out from the channel at the bottom, and then at the front, pull your window off. And you can store your top right there on the back. Now, you can also pull these corners off, tuck them inside like that when you fold your top down. You can also pop these corners off, fold them inside. You're also gonna get some hook and loop fasteners or straps like this. Really, it's up to you where you want to put them. You can strap them around your bars here when you have to fold it all the way down, you can go around this here if you can get it around there. And that's just to keep your top from floating as you're going down the road, you have the wind blowing in there. As far as the installation process, it's really not difficult. You can do it in your driveway, a couple simple tools. Now that we've gone over some of the features of it, we've shown you how it opens, the different ways that it opens, let's go ahead and walk through how to get it installed. First thing we're gonna do is we're gonna grab this piece here. This is gonna be for our back doors. It doesn't matter what side you start on, the installation of these and brackets with them are gonna be the same on either side. We'll start with our driver's side. You're gonna grab this bracket. This bracket is gonna be specific to this side. You'll notice the holes up here and then this piece here, this bracket is gonna fit just like that. The other bracket will not fit because it would be mounted the opposite way. So, it would be a little hard to mix them up. We're gonna line up with the two holes. We want this, as close to this as we can get. We're gonna take one of these bolts, we're gonna come up from the bottom, through the top, and then we're gonna put on a nut. We're gonna do the same thing for this back hole, and we'll lay it down and take a 5/8 socket, a flat headed screwdriver, and we'll tighten them down. We're gonna come over to our driver's side rear door. You're gonna need a pin on the bottom. Right here, there's gonna be a hole. We're gonna slide the pin in the hole, we're gonna take this and go around the bar. It should line up with the two holes in your roll bar. We're gonna take the long one and we're gonna throw that down into place. On the front side, you're gonna have a pad on the bottom, you're gonna have a hole right here. This pad needs to slide right into the screw, this hole needs to lineup with this hole. Now, you're gonna grab one of these, this is gonna be for the front door. How you're gonna know if it's right, is this is gonna be in the front, it's gonna line up with the holes in your roll bar. And this part is gonna face down, so it's gonna sit like this. We're gonna slide this over, match it up with the holes. Make sure that this piece is inside that groove and lay it right over the top. We're gonna take a small one or a short one, we're gonna go right here in the middle. We're gonna take a long one, that's gonna go in the front. Once you get one side done, repeat it on the other side. Next, you're gonna need this bracket. One's gonna say LT, the other one is gonna say RT, because we're doing driver's side, we'll use LT. Come to this back row bar, and right on the inside, you're gonna have two threaded holes. We're gonna take these two bolts. They're gonna have two bolts for each side, T-30 Torx bit to install them. It's gonna have an arrow which needs to face up. Once you get it on, take your loop strap, and we're just gonna go around that bracket. Now, if you really wanted to, you could cut a slit in there and feed the bracket through it so it seals all the way in the front. But, our customer doesn't want it that way, so we're just gonna go around it like that. You're gonna repeat that on the other side. And you're gonna grab one of these, the back corner here, it's gonna say LH or RH. If, for some reason, that's not there, you'll notice this piece here. This has a flat side on it that kind of sticks up, that's gonna be to the outside. Around this back corner, you're gonna see a little lip. We're gonna take that, we're gonna slide it up and then all the way over. We're gonna take this side, kind of pull it out and go around like that. And we're gonna repeat that on the other side. We need to lay out our top, we're gonna make sure it's turned upside down. We're gonna find our header bar, which is gonna be pre-attached to the top. And you're gonna get your sidebars, you're gonna have one for each side. This end, that you're gonna slide in at the top corner. You want to make sure that this little guy here is facing in. So, this is gonna be our driver's side and then our passenger side is gonna be the same way. Another way you can look at it is, this little U-shaped bracket here, this flat side needs to face out, the hook side needs to face in. And you wanna make sure that it's facing down, not going in like this. It's a good idea when you lay your top down, to lay it on top of something so you don't get it dirty. It might be easy if you can do it in your house, laid on some carpet or something. Phillips screwdriver, right at the very end, we're gonna take out these two screws, and we're just gonna set them aside, we're gonna be reinstalling them. Make sure you don't lose this plate. We're gonna take our bar, there's gonna be two holes on the bottom and on the top. We're gonna slide it in like this we're gonna line up the holes. We're gonna have two that are gonna go in here, and two that are gonna go on the under side. Here, what I suggest, is putting in these two first, cause sometimes these two up here may not be located in the right place, and you may have to take a very small drill bit and make a new hole for it. We're gonna take four small pan head screws. Two on the bottom, as I mentioned, and then two on the top. If you find that these top two holes, or bottom two holes, are pretty close, but they're off, there's a little bit of play with these, so if you loosen them back up, you might be able to get the holes to line up. I did find on the other side that they we're way off, so I did have to open those holes a little bit. We're gonna take this, and reinstall it. Once you're done with one side, you're gonna repeat the process on the other. That's where we're gonna take our number three bow assembly, it's gonna be the rear, this is gonna face out. You're gonna have little pins here on the ends. These are gonna slide over to the brackets that we installed on the back bars. Might be easier if you get an extra set of hands to hold one side while you get the other side installed. We're gonna take this pin, we're gonna pull it out, we're gonna slide this down over 'til it pops in. Next, we're gonna get the number four bow assembly for the rear lower side. You'll notice the angle of the bars, it's gonna fit like this. So you're gonna make sure that these are facing down. Again, we'll get an extra set of hands. It's gonna have the same pins on it and we're gonna put it on the bottom of this bracket. When we install this, we wanna make sure it's in the bottom hole. Next, we'll pull our top bar down. We're gonna have two straps. You notice the angle at the end, this is gonna be for our left side, this is gonna be to the bottom so it's gonna attach to this bottom bar, this is gonna attach to the top, we're gonna start with the top. We line up with these two outside holes here, then we're gonna take two pan head screws, install there, and then we'll install this on the bottom with three pan head screws. Next, we're gonna take our top, we're gonna flip it right side up. We're gonna put a header bar at the front and then lay the top down on our hood. We're gonna take this bolt piece here. We'll fold these out. You'll notice the arms on one end are bent, these are gonna face towards the front. This U-shaped bracket that I spoke of earlier. This portion is gonna be in just like this. Next, we're gonna need a short bolt and then a lock nut and then a long one, then two of these plastic washers. On this front side, we're gonna put one in here. On the outside, and then one on the inside. Once you get the end put in to that U-shaped bracket, you're gonna use the short bolt. Phillips head screwdriver, and a 5/16 socket. You'll notice that the bolt head is on the inside, the nut is on the outside. And we're gonna take the back piece, we're gonna put two more washers on. This time, we're gonna put the long bolts in. The hole in our bar, line it up just like that. And a lock nut on the outside. Once you get done with one side, gonna repeat the process on the other. Next, at the very end of our bar, underneath this back bar, we're gonna slide that together, just like that. We're gonna have a bolt with a collar on it, we're gonna go from the inside, and then we'll tighten it down with a T-25 Torx bit. We'll have one for each side. Then, we're gonna take our top from our hood and we're just gonna lay it over top of our bars. We're gonna take our front section here, and we're gonna fold it back, and let it rest on the back. We're gonna have two foam pads, they're gonna look like this. It's gonna have a notch cut out at the top and then a half moon here. They're essentially gonna go like this to cover up these screws. They're gonna go right there. We'll just peel off the tape on the backside. Just like that, then you'll have another one for the other side. Then on each side, you're gonna have a spring that's gonna be hanging loose. We're gonna take it, gonna have three holes, we're gonna put it in this bottom one. After you get your spring installed, we're gonna do is, we're gonna crimp that together to keep it from accidentally coming apart or sliding off. Next, we're gonna have two small, thin foam strips right at this front edge of this plastic piece. We're gonna go from here, down. We're gonna do that on both sides. Next, from inside the vehicle, the very back bar is gonna have holes that run across it. The top is gonna have four flaps. We're gonna take a pan head screw and attach it to the bar. We're gonna repeat that for the three remaining flaps. For our second bar to the front, we're to take this flap and we're gonna come around the front, you can see the bar's got same three little holes. Same screws, we'll attach this flap to the bar. Then, we'll move to our front bar. The only difference between this bar and the other two we just did, is this flap is actually gonna wrap around the front and attach in the back. Once we get all of our screws in our cross bars, we're gonna go ahead and attach our header to the front and we're gonna latch it down. Sometimes with it being a new top, it may not be quite stretched out enough. You might have to take this and just push in on it, and it'll lock it down into place. We're gonna take our rear window, we're gonna put our zippers all the way down on the left side. The reason I say left side is because this is actually gonna face out. You want the zipper facing out. So it's actually gonna sit like this. And make sure the two zippers are right on top of each other. We're gonna take this part and we're gonna slide it inside. This piece can be kind of tough to get the two together 'cause it needs to go through both zippers. Once you get it through both zippers, zip the one up, you wanna make sure that these two ends are even, if they're not, the teeth are gonna be off and it's gonna be hard to get the zippers off, if you wanna actually remove the window. So, once you get them both even, slide the second zipper up just enough. It's gonna hold that in place and it will keep it from slipping off there. And then we're just gonna take this one and we're gonna zip it all the way around to the other side. Next, we're gonna take this bar. We want this rubber pad facing out, down, this extrusion rail here facing out at the top. This is gonna be the outside, this is where our top, our back window is actually gonna slide inside of there. And this will fold down and inside these little brackets. So, we're gonna start from one side we're just gonna feed this in like this. Once you get this in, the instruction are gonna tell you, take this and slide it into these brackets first. However, with it being a new top, that's very tight and you're gonna sit here and fight it and try and get this thing to slide in there right. So what I suggest is take this corner, we're gonna pull it down and we're gonna stick it right around this edge. We're gonna do this on each side. We're gonna take this and rotate it, where it slides in their flat. We're gonna take this flat, come down like that. Once you get that on, you can pull these back off, 'cause we're gonna have to put the side windows on. Next, we'll install our side windows. Gonna make sure the zipper is all the way up at the top. Gonna take this in, feed into the zipper. We're only gonna zip it a couple inches. On this front side, there's gonna be a plastic piece of angle in here. What we're gonna do is we're gonna take it, and we're gonna wrap it right in this edge. Take this corner, and tuck it up inside here. And we can go ahead and zip our window the rest of the way. Go on and attach your hook and loop at the top. This corner piece, we're gonna tuck it around this edge first. Then we'll come back and we're gonna do this bottom edge here. It's gonna tuck right up under that rail. Once you get one side done, repeat it on the other side. Now it really doesn't matter, you can put these on before you put the top on, or you can put them on after. If you put them on before you put the top on, it's gonna be even twice as hard to get everything connected in the back because it's new. These don't attach to anything, they don't bolt, they're gonna have a little hook right here. And these tabs, these are gonna slide in and what they're gonna do is they're gonna arch over the center. You're gonna have one here and you're gonna have one over the back. The one for the back is gonna be longer. On the bottom, they're gonna be number 0.55 or 0.56, 0.55 is for the front. You're gonna take it like this, we're sticking in that slot. And we'll peel that off. And we're gonna repeat that for the second one. Once you have everything installed, you're ready to go. That's gonna do it for look at installation on the Bestop Supertop NX Soft Top for Jeeps on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited..
