Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this center section for the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, has a 30,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this heavy-duty hitch head will pair with a custom mounting kit to create a gooseneck trailer hitch for your application. Now, the mounting kits, the custom mounting kits we do sell those separately on our website. They are vehicle specific, so I would recommend to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you the mounting kit that would be needed to install this onto your vehicle. This will give you complete truck bed access when you're not towing.

You can easily remove the ball from the hitch for storage. It does include this 2 5/16 diameter ball, and this can be stored upside down in the bed when it's not in use. Just to show you how to do that, you'll pull out your handle here. And when you do that, it'll automatically go into the unlocked position and hold the pin open, and allows you to take the ball out. The ball you can see has a nice round shank.

When installed in the round sleeve, the sleeve and the ball will have a nice, tighter fit than the square designs. And then to store it when you're not using it, just flip it over, and there's a little handle you can hold onto. And you wanna make sure this slot, there's a slot cut out on this side right here, it goes on this side. And then you just slide it all the way down in there, release the handle, and the pin comes across and locks it into place. Now, it does include this magnetic cover you can see right here that you'll put over that.

And that's to keep any dirt and grime from getting in there and gumming it up, so that'll come included. And then when you're ready to tow, just take off your cover, and you can actually just let it stay on there, it is magnetic you can see. But once you take that off, then just pull out your lever. Now, this lever here, this is in the fender well, so it's a nice convenient fender well access to this handle to disconnect the trailer hitch ball. It's a nice durable handle with a nice easy grip on it.

So again, just push it out, and as you twist it, it'll turn and lock in the open position. And then, again, just pull your ball out, flip it over. Make sure your slot again is on this side. Drop it into place, release it. And now, you're all ready to tow. If you noticed, does have these spring-loaded safety chain hookups that are built in. They will sit flushed in the truck bed. Few installation tips, when this is installed, you will have to drill a 3 1/2 inch diameter hole for the ball opening, four 5/8 inch diameter holes for these safety chain U-bolts in your truck bed. Does come with the mounting hardware right here. The hitch ball is a chrome-plated hitch ball, it does resist rust. And the center section here is a black powder coated steel, helps resist corrosion. Few specs on this, the gross towing weight capacity is 30,000 pounds, vertical load limit of 7,500 pounds, and the ball size of 2 5/16 inch diameter. But again, just to show you, if you pull this and turn it, unlocks it. Take the ball, flip it over. Drop it in the stored position, release the handle, you're ready to go. Put your cover on there, and now, you'll have full truck body access, truck bed access.
