Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

I bought this for my 2018 Lexus NX 300h. Now that it’s installed, it works great and tucks away nicely when not being used. The biggest challenge was knowing where the tail light harness was. No amount of searching Google was helpful. I was really not excited about removing all the panels in the back. Eventually figured it out though and the panels I had to remove was minimal. Did require some dexterity and skinny arms though.

This Tekonsha wire harness works great for my 2017 Lexus NX200T, as expected. (Do note that I had performance issues with a different brand). Sales person demonstrated product knowledge and provided excellent service by researching the answers to my questions that she was not 100% sure of.

2017 Lexus NX 200t
Boy, this couldn't be easier. I ordered the hitch for my wife's new Lexus and it only took two days to show up on the door step. This last Saturday I had the time to install it myself. It only took me 18 minutes (yes, I timed it..) from driving up my ramps to driving off. It fit great, only took four bolts it attach, torque it all down and I'm good to go. Thanks etrailer!

2016 Lexus NX 300h
Great hitch. I work for a lexus dealer so I have seen the OEM one first hand. And know how much of a pain that is to install. It took my tech less then 10 minutes ago install and have it torqued down.
My NX is the hybrid one so the battery is in the trunk. So running the power to that was easy. Start to finish it took less than 30 minutes. Could not be happier.
If i have to make one complaint is that the hitch sits kind of low compared to the bumper. But the hybrid lower bumper is different from the turbo version.
Can't wait to use this!

2016 Lexus NX 200t
I ordered a Draw-Tite hitch and electrical harness for our NX 200t. The idea was to put the hitch myself and torque it on and then have an expert snap the trailer wiring on when I got it. All went well and we are just waiting for our kayak trailer now. The Draw-Tite is a good looking hitch and seems to be well made. We are looking forward to finding out whether the hitch and wiring will work well into the future for us. I see no reason that they won't.
I had seen where others putting this hitch on saw that their exhaust tips lowered after they finished. They are correct. Our tips are no more than an inch lower than previous factory measurements. This is after torquing them to 92 ft-lbs. They still look awesome....no problem!

Funny you should ask this now as my wife & I are vacationing & using our Hobie kayaks & of course our hitch & pigtail for use with our Sylvan Sport trailer. Both of these accessories are working wonderfully. We have used them many times since purchase.

The hitch is fantastic. I have made several trips with a cargo tray in the hitch, which had ample clearance for the tailgate opening. Pulling a small trailer during a move went smoothly as well. However, I had an issue with the Tekonsha wiring harness. Instructions were inadequate to install this package on my hybrid vehicle. Repeated calls and correspondence were met with a passing of the buck for panel removal and access to the required spaces for installation. Fortunately I was able to find more complete instructions from a competitor's site - a shock to me from what I have grown accustomed to at etrailer. But now installed, I love the set up, but ET won't be the only site I search when my future trailering needs arise.

2015 Lexus NX300h
Quick delivery. Installed trailer hitch and wiring on a 2015 Lexus NX300h. Hitch fit perfectly with minimal effort. Wiring was more difficult, but worked fine. Only a couple hours work total.

-- comment by: Mike K - 08/16/2015The difficulty with the wiring was that the connectors to the tail lights in the NX were difficult to get to. They were secured up behind some metal bracing. Once they were freed, it was easy to connect the Tee into the circuit. Worked fine once connected.

2017 Lexus NX Turbo
Good product. Suggest improvement in the installation instructions - specific for the vehicle ordered ! For 2017 LEXUS NX200T - You must at least loosen the back of both side panels to get to taillight connectors! And all the other stuff to get to them. Be aware that the automatic brake electrical control connector is the same as the connectors for the tail lights!

Not the fault of the harness, but it is extremely hard to get to the tail light connectors to connect on my vehicle. The 4 wire flat trailer connector could be a few feet longer as it's a bit taunt when the install is complete thus the 4 stars instead of 5.

2015 Lexus NX-200t
The product was excellent but the installation documents could have been better. It took much longer to find the connectors than expected. In the end the installation works perfect and saved me a ton of money compared to the car dealer installation price.
