Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the center of your rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

2020 GMC Acadia
Delivery was quick and arrived in great shape. Looked perfect out of box. Videos were extremely helpful although didn’t indicate to remove calking at back of frame rail. Hitch had to be trimmed to clear muffler hanger bolts. That held up progress a bit. All in all final product looks great but took a lot more effort than indicated by video. Installed mine with car on ramps in about six hours. Suggest having at least a couple extra sets of hands. We have ordered alot from Etrailer for the camper we built and everything arrived in perfect shape. First place I look for needed products.

2005 Toyota Tundra
The product was great; did NOT fit my situation. You indicated that it might not fit my 05 Tundra. It looked right; it was not your fault. I purchased the truck and the previous owner had removed the hitch and adapter. I was able to wire in the unit I received from you. It was quite interesting; I'm severely colorblind! I had 4 different colors of wires in each circuit, using some wiring I already had. I backed the vehicle up to my boat, said a prayer and thankfully, everything worked perfectly!

Makes wiring easy, the only issue I had was getting the protective plug out. I thought once you slid the red tab back, you could pull it out, but there is a tab you have to push also, once I figured this out, no problem.

Exactly as described. Instructions were clear and the item was plug and play. I was worried because I chose the cheaper option, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Doing it again, I would have bought the $5 tester to make sure because I won't know everything fully works until I need to use a trailor:)

The hitch arrived 1 month early than the scheduled date is which was a pleasant surprise. Although the box was destroyed and items ordered were there and were not damaged. The tow vehicle, a2021 Buick Envision, is a new vehicle the hitch did not that long to install. The wire harness harness was not. A dealership was contacted to install it. The instructions were not clear or explained what was needed. Only a cost of $xx.xx solved the problem.
The means of shipment, box or carrier, should be looked into. All items I needed were still in the box.
