5,000-lb Capacity. LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have internal bumpers, so you get the adjustable load support of air springs and the comfort and reliability of jounce springs. Jounces also work as a fail-safe if air springs lose pressure.
Features:
Specs:
The air springs and jounce springs in this system work together to give you the best ride whether your truck is loaded or unloaded. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have internal urethane foam jounces that protect the air springs and provide added ride comfort when your air pressure is low. The jounces also allow you to temporarily carry a load if the air springs lose air pressure. This gives your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck air springs that are easier to maintain.
Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts extra stress on your truck. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even inaccurate and unsafe headlight aim.
By pairing your existing suspension with LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and get the support you need. The springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity (depending on the weight-carrying capacity of your vehicle) and distribute the weight of your payload to all 4 wheels. As a result, the stress on your factory suspension is significantly reduced. LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated equally for front-to-back leveling or independently of one another for side-to-side leveling.
The air springs are made of high-quality, 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends where the bag is enclosed with steel caps. These caps can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. But the endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air.
The air bags also have Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which protect the air springs and beef up their load capacity. These sturdy plates help guard the springs from moving parts under your vehicle that might puncture the air bags. The plates also provide a larger surface area for each spring to roll on. The extra surface area gives you a higher spring rate at a lower air pressure, resulting in a better ride.
The closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside each air spring gives you a more stable, comfortable ride. Each jounce acts as an overload spring and engages when your current air pressure level isn't enough to support your load. So on a rough road, the springs will kick in if needed to absorb bumps and shocks and help you to avoid bottoming out. When the jounces support a load, they adjust progressively - the more weight you pile on, the stiffer they become. The urethane material engages more smoothly than rubber jounces so you get a less jerky ride.
Because these jounces are taller than your factory jounce bumpers, they engage sooner than your factory jounces would to provide better support. And if the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have insufficient or zero air pressure, the internal jounces will help to temporarily support your suspension and protect it from damage until you can repair or adjust the air spring system.
This system installs easily. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. The springs install between your truck's frame and its leaf springs. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump in air through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the manual inflation valves (1 for each spring). These are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere that is easily accessible. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately) that allows you to monitor and adjust the springs from the cab of your truck.
Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove and return them for a full refund.

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Air Lift LoadLifter 5,000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs. These springs are going to combine both an airbag and a jounce spring. So you're going to get the adjustability of the air spring with the dependability of the jounce spring. These bags are going to work for a wide range of motor homes, all having the early 2000s workhorse chassis. If you don't know what chassis your motor home has, don't worry just come to etrailer.com.
We've got a fit guide for you so you just type in your year, make and model of your motor home. We'll let you know which parts will fit for you. So you can make sure that you're getting the right thing. These are going to install between the leaf spring and the frame of your chassis.Really, they're not a separate component. They're going to work with your suspension system.
They're just going to take some of the strain off of your suspension. So it's going to make your ride more comfortable, and help even out the front to back distributions so that your headlights aren't pointing up in the face of other drivers as they're coming on, it's going to make those level again. One of the really nice things about airbags is the adjustability. So if you have an off-center load, say all of your appliances are on one side of your motor home. You can fill up that airbag on that side to kind of compensate for that.
So the airbag side of it is going to give you a lot of options. These can inflate from 5 PSI, up to a 100 PSI. They are going to give you 5,000 pounds of support. And again, don't think of that as 5,000 pounds on top of your load carrying capacity of your motor home. It's not like a wheel barrow where you can carry more than you could in your own arms. Think of it more like a back brace.
So it's not allowing you to carry any more. It's just kind of giving you extra support, taking some of that strain off of you as you're carrying that same amount of load that you could carry before. Now, in addition to the airbags, we also have the jounce springs on the inside. Those are a closed cell urethane. So they're going to be a little bit softer than your normal rubber jounce. So as you apply pressure, they're going to engage slowly at first, but then the more pressure that's applied, they're going to get stiffer. So it's going to give you a nice smooth action as you are putting pressure down on those.Nice thing about those, having them in the bag. If you don't have a whole lot of air pressure in the bag and you we're to hit a really big bump, they're going to engage sooner than your factory jump stop. And so it's going to help smooth out that ride. And if you we're to, for some reason lose all air pressure in your bag, you're still going to have those jounce springs in there to make sure that there's no contact frame to your leaf spring or anything like that. So you're not going to get that real hard bottoming out feeling. It's going to give you some support throughout, even if you don't have a whole lot of air in there. These are a very quality construction. I'm not going to get into all the materials and everything, but they are going to last you a nice long time. They are built well, they do come with a lifetime warranty and a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. So you can trust they are going to do a good job for you. They're made here in the USA, if that gives you any more confidence that they are quality built. Now, I do want to say one thing with your air bags, it can be kind of inconvenient to make sure that you have enough air pressure in there. If you don't have an onboard compressor, it can be a hassle to go to a gas station. Find one, make sure that you're airing it up. So I do recommend getting a compressor for your motor home. That way you always have air that you can air up the bags. I highly recommend the Air Command F3 that you see on the screen there. A couple things that I like about it. It's got the wireless remote so that you can control the amount of air pressure from the comfort of your cab. It's also got a digital readout on there so you can easily see how much air pressure is in your bags. And one thing I really like is the dual path portion of that compressor system. So with a lot of your compressors, they just have the one airline coming out. Then you tee that off into both bags. So you lose your adjustability from side to side. If you have that dual line, it's going to allow you to control both bags independently. So again, if you need to compensate for those off-center loads, you can still do that. You don't have to go with that air compressor. We've got lots of options here at etrailer.com. Just find one that's going to work for you, again I would highly recommend finding one that has that dual path so that you can control both of them. But these are also not the only option on the market if you're looking for a suspension enhancement for your motor home.Depending on what you need, these might not be the best option for you either. So these are going to be great. If you have those off-center loads like we we're talking about. If you like the ability to adjust the amount of compression and air pressure that you have in there, how much your system is going to be enforced. So if you like having those options, these would be awesome for you. We also have another style that's less maintenance called the SumoSprings. If you are wanting to not have to worry about the amount of air pressure that you have in your system, I would highly recommend these, especially the Rebel Springs that you see on the screen there. Those are two different pieces that fit together. So it's going to allow a lot of travel, but it's still going to help cushion that ride. Give you a nice, smooth ride as you're traveling. The downside of the SumoSprings is again, you don't have as much control. They aren't going to give you that off load compensation. They are going to be a little bit easier to get installed and you know, it's going to be less maintenance overall. You're not going to have to worry about a compressor, making sure that you have air in there. So it's totally up to you. If you like having that option, that ability to adjust the amount of pressure in there these are going to be a great fit. If you want something that you can just put on your motor home, leave it, forget about it and just get that benefit of that smoother ride, I would recommend those SumoSprings.Either way you're going to get all the materials that you need to get these installed instructions to help you. You can see that we've got our manual line here to fill up the airbags. This is just one line with the fittings on both ends. So you just figure out the center and cut just once and then put those ends in your airbags and then run that line out to either the side of your motor home or the back wherever it's going to be convenient for you to air these up manually. Unless you get that compressor system in which case you can obviously hook this up to the compressor pretty easily. But that's really all there is to our Air Lift Helper Springs. I hope this video has been helpful in determining if this is the kit that you need. We do have lots of options for the compressors for the SumoSprings, for other air springs here at etrailer.com. Basically anything that you need for your motor home we've got options for you. We want to make sure that you're getting the parts that you need so you can enjoy your time in your motor home. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

5,000-lb Capacity. LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have internal bumpers, so you get the adjustable load support of air springs and the comfort and reliability of jounce springs. Jounces also work as a fail-safe if air springs lose pressure. The airlift 5000 does a great job of smoothing out my motorhome. My 2004 fleetwood pace arrow on a workhorse chassis is the worst suspension of the three motorhomes Ive owned. Ive added sumo springs which helped a little. And now the airlift 5000 has made my suspension better. Drilling the two holes through the frame requires patience and strength when lying on the ground. Well worth the time.
Lower bracket is not strong enough. Collapsed on the first trip. A replacement was sent out but did not last. I had to fabricate a support under the center of the bracket to prevent bending.
Everything is just as advertised outstanding company
The air bags fit the front of my class a motorhome just fine. I plan on using the air bags to level the motorhome as the suspension is sagging a little.
Great product.
must drill holes on the frame on 2004 g ulfstream

Product was delivered quickly. Took about 1 1/2 to install these air bags. The instructions were very helpful and precise. Ran the air fittings out at bottom of bumper in the black trim next to hitch. I have had these on for about 3 weeks and just went camping. The bags help keep my 40’ travel trailer riding smoothly and gave the support that was needed being that my camper is tongue heavy. Would definitely recommend these bags. I would also recommend etrailer because they was very helpful with my questions and got the product out quick.

These air bags made a big difference in my truck and answer to my problem of hauling an atv in the bed. Notice the difference in the space between the bed and wheel between the two pics. The kayaks don't add thst much more weight. The air held for a five hour drive.

A Few Things To Point Out ,The Directions Sent Should've Been Detailed More Accurate In The Position On The Top Mounting Plates Stating Slotted Holes Are To Be Used To Mount The Plate , Button Head Screws Should've Been Torque Bit Instead Of Hexagonal Head Screws , No TEE's Were In This Kit , I Wanted A TEE So I Could Air Both Airbags At Same Rate .

Appears to be an extremely well made product. The instructions are much better than most and even include color pictures. There are also several instructional videos available. However, I did find a couple flaws in the kit. On the driver side, one of the bolts to attach the lower bracket to the axle rubs against the ABS brake wire. On the passenger side: the odd shaped axle strap doesn't fit as nicely as advertised and I had to message the brake line mounting strap out of the way slightly. There is also an issue with the exhaust being really close to the airbag and airline. The kit provides one heat shield to protect the airbag but there isn't anything to protect the airline from the exhaust heat and the exhaust pipe is only about an inch away from where the airline attaches to the top of the airbag. I wrapped my exhaust pipe and the airline in heat tape, but time will tell if that will be enough. Also, my truck is 100% stock so the issues are not due to prior modifications.

They were easy for any handy guy to install . It took about 2 hrs. They lifted my 2500 ram to sit level with my 37ft. 5th wheel. I even leave them as is, when I'm not hooked up, and don't notice a difference. I ran two separate lines to near my rear license plate, no compressor. I'm glad I didn't spend that extra money. You rarely change the pressure, and it's so easy to do.

This was installed on a 2021 Chevy Express 2500 van conversion by Explorer Conversion Vans. Explorer installed an Eaton rear suspension and it was not up to the task of a heavy conversion van. I think the air bags help but I will need to upgrade the shock absorbers to eliminate some of the bounce from the air bags. There were three primary issues with the installation:
1) The parking brake cable bracket is in the way and has to be cut off the axle. I attached the parking brake cable clamp to one of the Air Lift bolts using a nut. This is not something every at-home installer can do.
2) The air hose is barely long enough. I specifically asked how long the hose is because I wanted to route it where the future compressor will go and was told there is enough to go around the entire vehicle. That is incorrect. I will have to replace the hoses at my cost when I upgrade to the onboard compressor system.
3) The etrailer video says to drill the mounting holes to 5/16" diameter. The 3/8"-16 bolts immediately stripped out. I should have drilled the holes to 9/32" diameter.
I have bought a lot from etrailer and I will purchase from them again. Most of my issues stem from the poor design and instructions of the Air Lift product. For example, it doesn’t say anywhere on the box or product literature how much air hose is provided.

I've had these installed for a year now and it's been amazing. I drive a ram 1500 with a dump trailer and these made a huge improvement in tow quality. I installed the wireless air compressor also which I highly recommend. FYI, if you do the wireless compressor there seems to be some confusing. You can pair the compressor with the remote or your phone but not both.

Hard to say if I like it or not. Really don't notice much difference. Also, when I park on a site and my automatic jacks come out. If my tires are off the ground or close to being off the ground then the bags are really stretched, so I am afraid this will weaken and tare them. So I have to lower my unit, drive up on some boards and then re extend my jacks. So this takes a lot more time then I had to use before.

Installed in my garage and install went smooth. Look at instructions as slight adjustment based on what suspension you have (sway bar) all went together in one evening

The air bags do their job well and would be great for someone who caries the same load all the time or doesn't carry a load often these would be great. I have different loads on my trailer or I'm empty multiple times per day, I definitely recommend buying the setup with an air compressor and remote.

This bag system works exactly as advertised. Without an onboard compressor or gauge, I would only rate it as 4/5 stars, but it is quite a price jump to get the compressor. I have had a similar system with the onboard compressor and will likely upgrade to this in the future.

Purchased for a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road F53/22K Lbs chassis. I intended to start my suspension upgrade hear as I had a list to the front passenger side and this seemed the fist thing that needed correcting and I would proceed from there with sway bars, shocks etc. It has been a year and I see no need.
Much to my surprise, these air bags were easy to install, under 3hrs., and corrected the list to one side, softened the front end jarring from the road and greatly reduced the suc-in/push of passing semi trucks. I run 55lbs of air on the pass. side and 45/50 on the driver. I would say they corrected 80% of my problems and have not seen the need to add/correct sway bars or shocks. Also limited the front end bounce from large dip in the road. The only other thing I am considering adding is a front end center steering wheel stabilizer.

2014 Ford E350 srw cut-a-way, use to be a plumbers truck so it was loaded constantly and springs were worn. Airbags almost eliminated sway, soften the ride and leveled out the back as my battery bank caused a lean. Definitely recommend this product!!

Installation was straightforward although the diagram showing the compressors upright position mounting position was incorrect. I found that you could reverse it on the bracket if needed (which I did). Also note to be careful there are two different Apps (at least on iOS) I initially grabbed the wrong one and it would not connect. I believe the documentation points you to the correct one I just searched and tried to install without reading, so that one's sort of on me.

PACKAGE ARRIVED IN A TIMELY FASHION AND WAS IN GOOD CONDITION. ALL PARTS WERE THERE. PROCEEDED WITH INSTALL OF REAR AIR BAGS ON 2019 WINNEBAGO VISTA LX 27", 18,000 GVW..WENT ALONG WELL ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS...DID FIND OUT IN THE END I DID NOT HAVE TO REMOVE CURRENT JOUNCES OR EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE BRACKETS AS INSTRUCTIONS INDICATE. ALSO HAVE HARNESSES ON EACH SIDE OF FRAME THAT GET IN THE WAY OF UPPER BRACKETS. I HAD TO REMOVE SOME WIRING CLAMPS AND RELOCATE HARNESSES SO UPPER BRACKETS WOULD BOLT UP. MAY WANT TO UPDATE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS ON THESE LATER MODELS TO TALK ABOUT RELOCATING HARNESSES.
INSTALL WENT WELL FROM THERE AND THEY DO AS ADVERTISED, LEVEL FROM SIDE TO SIDE AS WELL AS FRONT TO REAR. I TAKE A TRIP IN A WEEK AND ALSO HOPING THEY TAKE SOME HARSHNESS OUT OF SOME ROAD BUMPS!

I had the Air Lifts added by my local Ford dealer and they have worked very well. The only issue I had was the dealer did not seat one of the air lines initially but that was fixed quickly.
