Get the cushioning power of SumoSprings for your coil springs and keep your ride comfortable. The wedge-shaped springs fit between the individual coils of your existing springs and help support heavy loads on your rear suspension.

Specs:
Insert these helper springs in between the individual coil loops in your rear coil springs to defeat driver fatigue and add better support for heavy loads. Most factory coil suspensions have a difficult time hauling added weight. The rear coils may struggle with supporting the extra load placed on your rear axle when you're towing a trailer or using a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack. If your coil springs are totally squished under a load, the lack of shock absorption can be harsh on your backside, especially if you spend long hours sitting in your vehicle while driving to your campsite.
Inside each helper spring, a core of microcellular polyurethane foam adds cushioning between your coils to make your ride more comfortable. Each doughnut-shaped spring has H-shaped channels at the top and bottom that fit to the rung of an individual coil in your rear coil springs. The cushioning absorbs shock, but also works progressively to better support weight, keeping your truck level.
Unlike air springs that fit inside your coil springs, these polyurethane springs require no air pressure monitoring, and they are easier to install. Say goodbye to air lines, valves and air tanks and hello to maintenance-free suspension support. Unbumpify your ride with Coil SumoSprings for coil suspensions.

Get the cushioning power of SumoSprings for your coil springs and keep your ride comfortable. The wedge-shaped springs fit between the individual coils of your existing springs and help support heavy loads on your rear suspension.Works exactly how I needed. The Ride is still very nice. There's about 350lbs with the weight of the box & rack. Suspension in the rear used to sag a bunch, even with a 2" suspension lift.
Did not fit vehicle despite website saying it was correct part. Got a 'not our problem' from both etrailer & sumosprings.
Received these today, and they look as advertised EXCEPT there are no perforations between the upper and lower grooves for securing to the springs with zip ties. They were to go on our ‘21 Outback xt, but I plan on returning them. Hopefully they can be exchanged for a set with the perforations, and I can change to an excellent rating.
Installed pretty easily. The trick is to start at the bottom of the spring and push it up. Didn’t need to apply any soap but springs were pretty clean to begin with (38K miles). The kit did not come with zip ties even though the etrailer description says it should, but the Sumosprings documentation clearly states they are not included.
Installation instructions were clear. The vehicle did not squat as much and rebound was decreased.
Easy install. Took less than 20 minutes including the time to drive to a neighbor to borrow a floor jack and stands.
Definitely use soapy water liberally to help slip it into place.
before installing the SumoSprings in the rear of my 2015 Honda CR-V the rear ride height would be level and when I loaded my powerchair
(electric wheelchair) on the rear lift of my car it would sag 3"and be vry twitchy in the steering, it did not feel safe at all, after installing the SumoSprings it would ride level and be much more stable in the steering, when I unload my chair my car is at the proper ride height it did not jack up the rear end at all. I'm very pleased with the SumoSprings and would recommend them to anyone.
Raised rear of my 2021 Outback 1 1/4” and it also raised my front 1/4”.
Little stiffer in the rear and less dropping of rear during Acceleration.
People are always flashing me the high beams before, these should reduce the amount of high beams I get.
Would have given it a 5 Star But it would be nicer not to have to cut the excess off.
I used the Sumo Springs on a 2014 VW Passat TDI SEL in the rear. I like the product, my car always had that overloaded look I tow a small trailer and the car's suspension was to soft.
The Sumo spring Support works great on my car the car came up about half inch and under load it gives the needed support I was locking for.
I also like that I have not to mess around with any air adjustment and it tis maintenance free.
The install was easy and I was done in about 45 minutes. The toughest part was to cut it for the instructed length for my car.
Installed sumo springs on my 2007 Toyota Prius. They installed fairly easily in about 15 minutes per wheel. I had to trim approximately 3 inches off of each sumo spring. I used ivory soap bar to lubricate the springs before install. The rear of the car was raised maybe 2 inches as a result. I do not notice any adverse changes in the handling of the vehicle when not loaded. Moving cross country soon and need to load up vehicle so not bottoming rear springs. overall very pleased with the product. Received Quick delivery of product from etrailer.
Very easy to install. I can’t tell a difference in ride when not loaded, but it really helps when I have the back loaded down.
These really work! My CRV even handles better when not towing the trailer.
Easy to install and great to prevent body roll. Also prevent the truck from hit the stops. On heavy loads looking into getting a set for the front
I installed the Sumo spring helpers on a 2018 Subaru Outback. The installation was straight forward and took me less than an hour. The installation with this model car is tight and at first I didn’t think the helpers would fit because of the shock boot cover and the wheel well molding. However, you need to work the helpers into the springs at the bottom 2 turns, cut with a buck knife, fasten a zip tie to each end and then thread the helper up the springs to the top 2-3 turns as stated by the instructions. A little tip that made my install easy was to cut the leading top inside edge, 1/4 inch or so, at an angle. This enables the leading upper back edge to easily slip under the spring and then it is super easy to work the remainder in place.
The helpers seemed to lift the back end about 1.5-2” and the ride is so much better since the back suspension is firmer and doesn’t bounce so much on bumpy roads. I tried it out on some speed bumps also, awesome!.
I should have taken before and after pictures but was in a hurry to get the install done and load the car for a nomad camping adventure. My reason for wanting to install the Sumo helpers is because we recently took a trip to Bears Ears,UT and had to carry 30 gallons of water, with a hitch cargo box and the Outback fill road. ed with essential camping gear. The load was within Subaru weight specs but the back end was definitely sagging and driving at highway speeds was a bit nerve racking. The car is loaded again, albeit with everything except only 2-6 gallon jerry cans, and the back looks and feels much safer. I would highly recommend this product to solve the back end sag and unsafe bounce when carrying weight in the middle to upper range of Subaru weight specifications.
I will get pictures next time I have the tires off but had to load and hit the road.
My question is why are the Sumo helpers only recommended for the rear?
Fit like a glove , no issues, no complaints. I would recommend this product to everyone
This product really did the job for me. It provide much needed support for my rear spring when attaching my tent trailer. It leveled off the trailer so that the trailer hitch would not dip. Great product and I'm glad I purchased it.
I have not installed them yet, but according to the reviews that I have read they should work great.
Easy install in 15 minutes. It did help with sag and I noticed an immediate difference on the positive side. I installed these on a Honda Pilot used for towing a small Teardrop trailer. I am using these in conjunction with Timbren bump stops and am pleased with the results. I was going to install airbags but did not want the hassle of checking air pressure and these being maintenance free was a good option.
Been a year now with the SumoSprings, and they've been outstanding! No pictures but have a hitch and cargo carrier on the back of our 2005 Prius, and have loaded it down with four people, all our gear, plus a pressure washer and hose on the back carrier. Kept it level with no handling issues! No issues and looks good empty also. Easy to install, just pulled off the wheels to make it easier, zip-tied in place. So far so awesome.-Joe
I have a 2008 CR-V LX I use to pull at Little Guy 5 wide teardrop trailer and there are no heavy duty strut options available. So after much research I settled on these and decided to buy them from etrailer.com. The installation was just as easy as everyone has stated on other reviews. All I had to do was jack up the rear end and pull the tires and the slide on without any lubrication at all..just cleaned off the springs and they slid right on. The CSS-1125R will need to be trimmed but that was easy too for two reasons. 1st they are very easy to cut with a razor knife and 2nd the overlap position was easy to find and reproduce because it fell right on one of the holes the the zip ties go through. Probably the hardest part was making sure they were in the same place on both sides of the vehicle but that is not a problem at all if you have access to both sides at the same time.I haven't hooked up the trailer but I could tell immediately that the suspension performance was improved on cornering and the way it handles railroad tracks and potholes. My mechanic went so far as to say he tell the difference just by driving out of his driveway. Hopefully I can come back and give an update after my 2500 mile trip pulling the LG 5W.
I installed these on my 2013 six passenger Hyudai Santa Fe Limited the instal was easy, just watch the video and you will have no problem. The helpers do just that they add a little more resistance to the spring compression. They raised the rear of the vehicle 1/4 of a inch barely noticeable to the naked eye but I measured before and after the instalation. The ride feels the same but when you load the rear with additional weight or when my trailer is hitched up the rear sag is less. I would guess it helps about 300 to 400 pounds worth.
Bought these for our Honda CR-V that hauls our race car on a small trailer. Installation was pretty easy and they seem to have firmed up the rear end quite nicely. No more sag when towing!
Just got them and did some riding around. I can already tell these babies are gonna be great!!!! No more sagging in rear with my already soft coils/suspension. First 2 photos are without sumocoils.
2018 CRV 2wd 1.5t EX.
I install it on my 2010 Jeep Patriot to level my rear suspension when towing a heavy tongue weight trailer (under Jeep maximum tongue weight rating) such as this product is advertised for, but it just do nothing. It doesn't increase my rear suspension level by even a quarter inch! Moreover, this product cause very bad "bouncing" of my rear suspension when loaded who make the driving of the trailer very unstable and very dangerous. I finally agreed to a return and a refund with etrailer.com via SuperSprings (California) customer service. But I still lost the price of the incoming and return shipping. In conclusion, save your money and purchase heavy duty coil springs instead.
Easily installed, noticeable height increase and immediate improvement of rear suspension
