Specs:

  • Load-leveling capacity: up to 1,000 lbs
    • AirLift 1000 springs will not increase your vehicle's weight-carrying capacity. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
  • Adjustable air pressure: 5 psi - 35 psi
  • Lifetime warranty
  • 60-Day satisfaction guarantee

Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.

Air Lift's AirLift 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.

AirLift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use AirLift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

2012 ToyotaSienna

Easy to install in my 2012 Toyoda Sienna AWD. The air hose supplied was barely just long enough to reach the rear, where a custom made mount is required for the Schrader valves. I used 2 valves, rather than the "T" for for 1 valve, so each air bag would retain separate air pressure for better anti-sway support when cornering. Rear end squat is minimal with my 450 lb motorcycle mounted on a hitch rack and added load inside. The ride is noticeably flatter through corners, especially after lifting the van 2" higher for much better 8" clearance for well worn dirt double-track roads.

Comments
After 1 year of use, I suggest setting air pressure to 10 psi or less when there is no added vehicle load to avoid a bouncy ride. For example leaving 25 psi in the Air Lift after a load is removed, produces a bouncy ride on less than very smooth pavement.

Product installed easily on my Toyota Sienna AWD and inflated correctly with no leakage. I ended up using two loom clamps and self-tapping screws that I purchased at [local] Hardware store. Had hoped to use only wire ties, but realized that loom clamps make for a much more secure installation. The ride is much stiffer at 35psi especially since the van is empty at the moment. Still need to experiment around with pressures that are ideal for an empty van and one filled with passengers and gear.

Comments
I suggest lowering your 2015 Sienna air springs to 5 psi for a smoother ride when you are not towing or loaded up. When you are loaded, inflate to 30 psi.
-- Etrailer Expert Sierra K - 11/02/2021
This Air Lift kit has been working well for me. No leakage at all. I have taken many road trips to local National Forests and just got back from a 4500 mile trip to the Badlands. I have found that keeping it at 10 psi is just about right for my driving style. This kit is the way to go to level out your ride when you are carrying a lot of payload.

Keeps my van from sagging in the rear, especially when towing or loaded up. Easy to install and air up. A little squeaky when you change pressures, but it settles in after a little driving. Would recommend.

2011 ToyotaSienna

There are 6 in our family and we like to play on our vacations. Which means lots of people and stuff in and on our mini-van, and a bike rack with 5 bikes on the back (and one bike inside). Our old Toyota Sienna clearly sagged under the burden, so when we got a 2011 Sienna which has a lower bumper to begin with, I was nervous about how it would handle everything, and particularly with the bike rack out back if it might even scrape the ground at times (bottom of hills, speed bumps...). I purchased these to help the suspension. They installed relatively easily, and we took our first trip of about 450 miles to Cape Cod and all went well. We had minimal if any noticeable drop in the back of the van, even fully loaded with all six of us, a full rooftop carrier, 5 bikes on the back, and extra seating inside (van sits 8) folded down and that available space also packed.

We have only had these for a few weeks and I am a bit of a perfectionist, so these may very well deserve an excellent mark. The only thing that is keeping me from that is that I have only had them for a little while, so if they keep performing as they have so far, I would grade them as excellent.

Comments
One year in and they are working very well. I did not test them terribly much this past year, but I have to say what we have done has all gone very well. I am very happy with this purchase and have no complaints.

This was easy to install and highly effective. I have a hitch mounted bike rack and when my Sienna is loaded up for a weekend of camping and biking, it used to ride low in the back. It also would scrape on some rougher dirt roads/mild 4wd roads. These air bags helped with that as well. I highly recommend these for people doing similar things.

Comments
Still totally agree with my initial assessment of these air bags. Id definitely recommend them!

by:

Installing this to my 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD. Install was easy - the etrailer video available on the product page was very helpful. I'll follow up with an update on performance.

Comments
1-Year later and still working well. The air bags slowly lose presseure over several months, but I inflate to 35 lbs when I need some extra stiffness in rear. It’s easier than doing squats!
G - 10/05/2022

by:

We tried these and the rear suspension improves if we are carrying a bike rack, however after driving 4 hours or so the bags need to be reinflated. Not sure if this is typical or not. If there is a slow air leak I'm not sure how to easily locate it. Unfortunately, solid rubber shocks are not available for my vehicle.

Comments
One of the best ways to tell if you have a leak is to use soapy water and wipe it on the bags as soon as you fill it. If you see bubbles forming, it means that you most likely have a leak. It is more common for leaking to occur around the air valve, so I recommend keeping an eye around that area. This product does have a lifetime warranty available for bags and brackets, so you may be qualified to receive a new bag. I do see that Air Lift prefers to handle all of their own warranties, I highly recommend you contact Air Lift for a replacement under their warranty.

These installed easily when I followed the directions. I did cheat by going to a buddies house and we put my van up on his lift. That really made the job go fast! And these things work well, now when I drive down to Mexico with a van load of boat parts, the van looks like it's riding empty and I get the "green" light! Seriously, they work well. Just follow the instructions and do not over think it.

by:

This kit did not work. Had professionally installed at shop that does these type of air helper bags all the time in my type of vehicle. They could not get the bags to stop leaking. Over course of 7 days would lose all pressure. The shop indicated that the type of connector Air Lift uses to connect the tubing to the bag is often problematic. For that reason, the shop suggested using air helper bags from Firestone because they indicated the firestone uses a superior type of connector. I had the shop redo the install with firestone springs and those have been working great for months with no issues with leaks. Avoid thise Air Lift ones. Additionally, I tried to work wtih etrailer customer service on getting the issue with the poorly designed product resolved. Unfortunately, etrailer customer service was entirely unheplful. Different reps gave conflicting information. Some were quite rude. Overall, etrailer offered no support nor help when the product they sold didn't work from the start.

This lift system was exactly what the doctor ordered! We pumped up the airbags to the maximum, and then loaded my wife’s 2008 Toyota Sienna minivan up with 4+ passengers, camping supplies, a spare tire on the roof, and then attached a cargo rack to the hitch with an oversized cooler packed to the gills, firewood, and chairs without the bumper dropping an inch!!! It was an amazing sight to behold. I highly recommend this lift system!

by:

This made the world of a difference on my Toyota Sienna 2008. That minivan with the trailer hitch, Air Helpers and wiring harness from etrailer was allowed my to move with a minivan. That van hauled so many loads too and from storage, its not even funny. If your considering hauling a camper in a minivan, I wouldn't hesitate, get em...
does the work and posts results for you if your considering...

by:
2011 ToyotaSienna

The installation was relatively easy and straight forward on our 2011 Toyota Sienna, they did make a notable difference in the height of the rear of the vehicle when fully inflated. Our van does ride much more level when our camper is attached and gear is in the back.

by:
2006 ToyotaSienna

Great I have them on all my vehicles

by:

I had the kit installed by my mechanic, haven’t had any issues with it. I does make driving more comfortable with the camper. The only issue I’ve had is I put a 35psi pop off valve on the system to prevent over pressure on filling. The problem was it bleeds down to 28-30 psi. If I had it to do over I would use a 40 psi valve.

Comments
Still works excellently. We pull the camper 56x per season.

2013 ToyotaSienna

Just installed it and have not had a chance to really use it yet. Install was pretty simple. The hardest part really was trying to figure out how to route the passenger side tubing away from the exhaust. I did it with a floor jack on one side and then the other. I went ahead and used the "T" valve with one Schrader valve and drilled a whole in the bracket that the trailer wiring secures to. Took about 30-45 min not including drilling the hole in the bracket.

by:

I have only been using these for a few weeks. Install was relatively simple. However, for my vehicle, the bags are way too small. With them fully aired up it barely removes any sag from having my trailer connected. I also had an issue early on with them leaking, however that problem appears to have corrected itself.

Comments
You mentioned that when the bags are fully aired that they barely remove sag from the Sienna. What is the tongue weight of the trailer? Are you also using a weight distribution system?
-- Etrailer Expert Jenny N - 06/06/2022
Thanks for reaching out. Here are some before and after photos. 0 psi vs 30 psi. You can see that the fender height only changed about a half inch. It is better than nothing. However, by looking at the front to rear fender height, you can see that it is far from level. After some research on forums, I have found that it is pretty well documented that several other sienna owners have the same complaints with the Air Lift setup. Unfortunately, I didn’t do the research before hand. When the bags fail I intend to switch to Firestones as others have done. The trailer is an aluminum 7x12 enclosed trailer - around 1000# empty - with a couple youth sized dirt bikes in it. Not sure on the tongue weight, but definitely within the tow rating of the vehicle.

Thank you for the additional information. I checked and currently the Firestone bags that would be a fit are part # F4155

2013 ToyotaSienna

Just what I needed on my Toyota Van. This combined with my Curt Weight Distribution Hitch makes towing my Wolf Pup travel trailer all good! Nice and level now. Easy to install too. I kind of like leaving pressure in them even when not towing to reduce body roll on the van. I ran two separate air hoses on mine so pressure can’t move from one side to the other.

by:

This is my 3 month review. I purchased a year ago but I didn't get to install right away. The product is currently performing well and easy to install.

by:

I installed by my own, it was very easy and simple, Best trip ever had to Mexico… I recommend this product 100%

by:

These things are unbelievable. Using these makes towing and traction so much better. The vehicle is almost level when a heavy trailer is hooked up and I do not feel any difference in the ride. We used our Sienna to tow a UHaul 6 by 12 trailer, loaded with household belongings, from Florida to Connecticut last week and it simply made the trip much safer. They are not hard to install, just squish as much air as possible out of the cylinder before putting them inside the spring. The directions are very clear. These made towing with a Sienna possible. My picture shows our vehicle with the trailer, note that the vehicle is very level.

by:

I had it professionally installed. All the hoses have held up after one year. Its hard to remember but try to make sure that the air bags are deflated prior to the vehicle going up on a lift, this will prevent them from getting damaged.

by:

The product is holding up great. (Pun intended). The van doesn’t sag in rear then loaded with all the kids and I can add a little pressure to keep it level when we are towing. Thank you etrailer for all the reality and support you have to help help us install the products you sell.

by:

This is a great lift kit. I have ordered it before for my previous vehicle. Works wonderfully

Comments
Fantastic. Perfect. Flawless. I installed it on my 2014 Sienna for the few occasions when I need to load the rear seats with people and luggage. The air bags do an excellent job of leveling the van and keeps it from bottoming out.

This product is an excellent value. I installed on my 2013 Toyota Sienna FWD in a couple of hours, using the instructional video as a reference. When I filled up the bags to 30 PSI and hitched up my pop-up trailer, there was no noticeable sag in the rear suspension. I have yet to take the rig out on a long trip, but first impressions are very good.

by:

Should have put these in when I bought my van new! Great for the extra weight when loaded with people or a trailer.

  • Is There Risk of Rollover When Installing Air Lift # AL60732 With Single Fill Valve on 2006 Sienna
Actually, that's an excellent question that I've always been curious about as well. I spoke with my Air Lift representative about your concerns about using the Tee fitting when installing their # AL60732 air suspension on your 2006 Toyota. Installing the system using the tee fitting and the single Schrader valve as a filling point CAN allow air to migrate from one spring to the other, but my representative tells me that your Sienna will still have the coil springs in place to provide stability...
