Review of Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring - Bypasses Vehicle Wiring - RM-76515

Today we're gonna take a look at the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for towed vehicles. Now this kit will take some of the hassle out of towing your car with this fuse bypass system. Basically, some cars can be towed only if you get under the hood and pull a fuse or fuses. And if you don't remove those fuses before towing, there's a good chance that your battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination. This kit will provide a nice simple alternative to removing the fuse every time you tow, and will even store the fuses so that you don't lose it. It includes everything laid out here on the table: the fuse controller, nice large red wire with a large fuse holder, a large black wire, a small orange wire with a fuse holder, the switch and the harness, nice set of installation hardware, and a nice set of installation instructions that'll describe how to connect everything. This kit does install very quickly, easily, and permanently.

Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Edge

Shane: Hi I'm Shane with etrailer dot com. Today we're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to show you how to install the Hopkins Simple Plug in Vehicle Wiring Harness for Towed Vehicles. What this is going to allow us to do, it's going to allow us to run all of, or transfer all of our light signals from our RV through to our towed vehicle, while we're traveling. What's different about this one, is it's going to be a simple plug in. It's going to plug directly in to your factory wiring. It's going to have a converter box that already has built in diodes.

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2016 GMC Canyon

Today on our 2016 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be installing Roadmaster's Diode Wiring Kit. This diode wiring kit is gonna take your turn, stop, and tail lamp signals from your motor home and allow them to be transmitted back here to the taillights on your vehicle, so you can be DOT compliant in all states when flat-towing your vehicle behind your motor home. This is gonna directly send the signals from your motor home's seven-pole connector back to the taillights on your vehicle. The diodes that are installed on the taillight ensure that the electrical signal can only go to your bulbs, and not back to any electrical component inside the vehicle. The diodes act as a one-way check valve for the electrical current, ensuring that that doesn't happen.Connect our electrical connection, and our breakaway switch. Now all that's left is to place our vehicle into tow mode and hit the road. For your complete flat-tow setup on your 2016 GMC Canyon, we'll be using SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System; Roadmaster's Direct Connect Base Plate Kit; Roadmaster's Diode Wiring Kit; Roadmaster's Automatic Battery Disconnect; Roadmaster's Stop Light Switch Kit; Roadmaster's Falcon All-Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bars; Roadmaster's 64 Inch Single Hook Safety Cables; and you may or may not need a high-low adapter. We'll begin our installation here at the front by mounting our electrical connector bracket. Now the fascia is off.

Roadmaster Diode 7 to 6 Wire Coil Kit Installation - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit. When we want to tow our Jeep, we're going to need a base plate, tow bar wiring, the tow bar itself, as well as a braking system. Now specifically for our Jeep, we're also going to need an automatic battery disconnect, as well as a charge line kit to make sure our battery stays charged.Whenever we're flat towing our Jeep, it's going to be very imperative that our lights match the same as they do on our motor home. That way, if we're driving down the highway, and we need to change lanes, we can do it safely and everyone knows what's going on around us. Typically, that's going to mean that you're going to mount some kind of external light. We've all seen those magnetic lights that people put, and they mount on the top of their vehicle or run a wire to the front. That can be a little bit of hassle because we're going to have to set it up each time that we want to flat tow our Jeep and we're going to the potential of that wire rubbing across the paint causing some damage.

Another thing you can use is a piece of string, and either a nut or a bolt like this. Something that's got a little bit of weight. Drop it down. Review of Custer Tow Bar Wiring - Bypasses Vehicle Wiring - SPL30B-6

Today we're going to take a look at the Custer Split Lens Magnetic Towing Tail Lights. The law usually requires that all tow cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV's towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicles electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty and cause electrical damage to your towed vehicle. What's nice is detachable tow lights like these, will avoid that problem, by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source. This kit is designed to mount on a horizontal surface. Does use the 120 pound pull magnets, so it holds on very good. It is a split lens design, you can see here, the red at the bottom is for your stop and tail lights and the amber at the top is for your turn signal and flashers.
