Best 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan Hitch Options

Today on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to compare our three best hitch options available; CURT Hitch part number 13389, Draw-tite Hitch part number 75305, and our Hidden Hitch part number 87719. Each one of these hitches is a class 3 hitch that has a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. All three hitches are capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight, with a 3500 pound tow capacity. As you can see, all three hitches are similar. The Draw-tite and the Hidden Hitch are actually exact duplicates of each other. The install of each of our hitches is going to be similar.



WeatherTech Cargo Floor Liner Review - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

All right. Today on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to do a test fit of a WeatherTech floor liner, part number WT40265. We'll be working with the black color today. Okay, we're going to start off our test fit with the original floor mat removed, so we'll go ahead and lay the new liner in place. We put it down, you can see it has an edge that goes all the way around and matches some of the contour of the floor. A few things to know that the shape, the channels, and moldings all work to keep dirt and debris contained in the liner and not in the carpet. These can be easily removed and re-installed to be cleaned as necessary with just soap and water. This is also available as gray as part number WT42265 and tan as part number WT41265. With that, that will finish up our test fit of the WeatherTech floor liner for the cargo area on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. .



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - Hidden Hitch

Today on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be installing Hidden Hitch class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 87719. Now as you can see it's got a sturdy steel construction with a nice black powder-coated finish. Everything's kept nicely underneath the bumper so it doesn't stick out, with the exception of our receiver tube to make it nice and easy and accessible. This is our class three hitch. Has a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. When added with a weight distribution hitch we can go up to 400 pounds of tongue weight and 4,000 pounds of towing capability. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 3".



Rain-X Weatherbeater Wiper Blades Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to do a test sit of a Rain-X WeatherBeater windshield wiper blade. Part number RX30228. If you ever noticed about this windshield wiper blade, it has a galvanized steel frame, rubber squeeze; has additional UV inhibitors to help protect it from the sunlight. This is a frame stall 00:00:20 design, with multiple pressure points, to help hold it against the windshield. To start off our test sit, we'll go ahead and remove the original wiper blade. There is a small tab we have to push; then we go ahead and release it from the arm. While we have it apart, we can see the arm is a J-style. There's 2 J-style; this is the larger of the 2.



Rain-X Latitude Wiper Blades Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to do a test fit of part number RX5079282 from Rain-X. This is the latitude windshield wiper blade. To start off our test fit we're going to go ahead and remove the original wiper blade. There's a small tab we have to push then we can go ahead and slide it off the arm. Once we have the wiper blade away from the arm we can see that this is a J style. Now there are two kinds of J style arms.



Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - Draw-Tite

Today on this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to install part number 75305 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 12 1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2 3/4 inches. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on this 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to install part number 118300 from Tow-Ready. First thing we're going to do is open up the hatch and then we'll go ahead and remove the two tail light assemblies. We'll us e a trim panel tool to remove the rivets then we can go ahead and pull the tail light away from the vehicle. Then we'll go ahead and disconnect the wire harness. There's a small red tab that we have to push in so we can release the lock. Once it's pushed out of the way we can go ahead and press down on the tab located here and then we can squeeze it and we can go ahead and pull the wire harness away from the light.



WeatherTech Front Floor Liners Review - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today we'll be installing the WeatherTech front floor liners part number WT463581in grey on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. These are also available in tan, part number WT453581 as well as black, part number WT443581. Now this is a two-piece kit, it does come with both the driver as well as the passenger front floor liner. To begin the installation we'll simply remove the factory or old floor mats from the vehicle and slide our front floor liners in allowing them to conform to our floor board. Today, well be installing part number WT460272 from WeatherTech on our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. This is the second row rear auto floor liner in gray. This liner is also available in tan, part number WT450272 as well as black, part number WT440272. Now, to begin this installation, well simply remove the older factory floor mats from the vehicle. We can then install the one-piece liner into the second row. Youll notice that it conforms to the floor.

Now before we begin our installtion, here are a few measurements to help you in selecting accessories such as the cargo carrier, bike rack or a draw bar. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer most part of the bumper is 4 inches, and from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 11-3/4 inches.Now let's go ahead with our install. Now to begin our installation, we'll need to remove the two outer 10-mm bolts attaching the rear spring shackle to the vehicle's frame. We'll also remove the single 12-mm bolt from the vehicle's frame just forward of the spring shackle, here. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle.
