Derale Transmission Cooler Installation - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Today on 2011 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be installing Derale Series 8000 Plate and Transmission Cooler. This transmission cooler is going to help extend the life of your transmission. It's an auxiliary supplemental cooling system for your transmission to further cool the fluid.What this means for you is that if you use your vehicle for a lot of heavy towing, that puts a lot of extra stress on your transmission, which builds excessive heat. This cooler will help dissipate that heat and allow it to operate more under normal conditions, extending the life even when under those stressful towing conditions.We'll begin our installation at the front of the vehicle by removing our front grill. There are several pins across the front center, at the top, that we're going to remove using a flat-bladed screwdriver. Pop out the center first and then you can pull the pin out.

Today on our 2010 Acura MDX, we're going to be installing Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler.This is what our transmission cooler's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to extend the life of your transmission by keeping your fluid cooler and at normal operating temperatures. This is particularly useful if you plan on using your vehicle for heavier towing that can cause extra wear and tear on the transmission and generate a lot of excess heat. This additional cooler will help dissipate that heat allowing the fluid to act as if you we're driving it under more normal conditions.It's a radiator-style cooler, meaning that it is air cooled. The air will flow through the various fins in here cooling the pipes that the fluid is running through inside just like the radiator on your vehicle. The cooler also features turbulator technology where it keeps the fluid continually agitated so you don't experience any drops in pressure and it's constantly dissipating heat.The cooler's simple to install.

We have the front fascia removed, that way you can see how it works and have a good idea of what it looks like.Now, the reason you would want a transmission cooler is, say if you're pulling a heavy load regularly or pulling a trailer, the transmission cooler actually assists your transmission to keep it nice and cool. That way you don't overheat it and damage it. The way it does that is, it runs in line with your factory transmission cooler. So you'd simply tap into it and direct the fluid into the new transmission cooler.

Today in our 2014 Honda Odyssey we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Derale Series 8000 Plate Fin Transmission Cooler Kit with barb inlets. This is a class three efficient type cooler. Part number is D13503.Now this is what your cooler is going to look like installed. This being an auxiliary cooler, it's made to maintain the temperature of your transmission fluid. In this Odyssey at the bottom of the radiator there's a factory transmission cooler built in, so we're just adding this to that essentially.Run our lines down, make our connection. Our fluid's gonna come in one side and it goes through those fins.


Transmission Cooler Installation - 2017 GMC Canyon

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be installing Derale's 8,000 Series Transmission Cooler Kit, part number D13503. In conjunction with that, we'll be using Derale's Snap In Radiator Adaptor for GM vehicles, part number D13035.And this is what our Transmission Cooler's gonna look like when it's installed. We have our fascia removed to make it easier to see. It can be mounted in any location you like, but this is the closest location to where you hook up your lines.This auxiliary cooler is gonna help keep your transmission fluid at normal, lower operating temperatures. So when you're hauling heavy loads, and putting more stress on your transmission, that fluid temperature's not gonna rise up and cause potential transmission damage. It's gonna keep that temperature more regulated, to it'll be a normal operating temperature even under the most stressful conditions.
