This is going to consist of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars in black, part number RRVA106B-2, the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs, part number RRRLKVA, and the Fit Kit for our Sonic, part number DK315. Now keep in mind that we're using this on a four-door Sonic, New Testament five-door, and our crossbars are also available in silver, part number RRVA106S-2.This is what our Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System looks like on our Sonic. It's going to be a great solution for carrying your vehicle accessories on your roof and also freeing up space inside your vehicle since this vehicle does have limited space. The aerodynamic shape of our bars is going to help to reduce wind noise and drag, as well as that weather strip on the inside. If we remove our end cap here, we can see that our weather strip is also easy to remove and cut down so we can place in channel-mounted accessories.

Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Sonic we're going to be test-fitting the Thule Circuit XT Rooftop Bike Rack, part number TH526XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike actually attaches to the rack, we're not going to have any frame contact at all. Instead, it's going to grip it by the forks up here with a skewer mount. On the skewer mount here, you can replace this plastic piece here with a Thule lock core, so you can actually secure your bike to the rack and prevent theft and tampering. We also have this wheel strap here in the back that is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate different size bikes.

Rhino Rack Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Rooftop Bike Rack, part number RRRBC050. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this actually attaches to the bike rack, we're going to have three points of contact with absolutely no frame contact at all. We're going to have this wheel hook up at the front here and then two wheel straps for either tires. What's unique about this is you can actually keep the entire bike together as opposed to a lot of other bike racks where you'd have to remove the front wheel and secure it by the fork mounts. With the bike on here, I'll go ahead and open up the trunk real quick to show you have absolutely no clearance issues whatsoever between the bike rack and the trunk or hatch. The wheel hook itself is lockable, so once you actually secure your bike up here you can lock it down and there will be no theft or tampering of your bike. Let's go ahead and take it off and set it aside.

Rhino Rack Road-Warrior Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

You can see on the side here. Once you have this installed, you can lock this in place and your bike is secured onto the rack. At the rear hear, we have a wheels strap, and I'll secure that as well.

We're then going to take one of our black rubber-coated metal u-bolts, going to bring it around the underside of our crossbar, fit it up into the head of the carrier, and then we're going to thread on one of our cylinder nuts to hold it in place. Now that we have that one threaded on we'll continue with the second cylinder nut.

Thule Force XXL Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, we're going to do a test fit on the Thule Force XXL Roof Top Cargo Box. This is going to offer us 21 cubic feet of storage space, has a nice aero-skin black finish to it. The part number on it is TH626. This is one of the longer cargo boxes that we carry, so it's a good idea to kind of spread your hands out a little bit, get one towards the front, one closer to the rear as you lift it. We've already got our Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System installed on the vehicle, so we'll just place our cargo box up here. We want to get our feet in line, so they'll go around our bars. They're designed to hang out of the bottom, so this is definitely the best time to get this situated so you won't have any issues.

Thule Pulse Alpine Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Chevrolet Sonic

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Sonic, we're going to do a test fit on the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box. This is going to offer us 13 cubic feet of storage space, comes in a nice aeroskin black finish. Part number on it is TH624. As you can see, we've got our Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack system that we've already installed on our Sonic. So we're going to begin our test fit by placing our cargo box up onto the roof of the vehicle. The feet are designed to hang through the bottom of the box, so we found this is the best time to get them in line so that when they put it down they're going to go around our bars. Now the Force is designed to be opened both from the driver's side and the passenger's side, so we'll want to take a quick look to help us ensure that we have our box centered. We'll then open up the passenger's side.
