Best 2005 Ford Van Hitch Options- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2005 Ford E-Series van. When looking for a hitch on our website, you'll find that these are the three most popular hitches. On top here we have our CURT class 4, part number 14055. The second, we have our Draw-Tite class 3, which is part number 75703. Here we have our CURT class 3, which is going to be part number 13053. Now one of the main things you're going to notice at first is the design, where the CURT has a square tube and the Draw-Tite is a round tube design. The Draw-Tite does have the round tube design and it follows into the receiver tube, which has a little rounded edge on it. more

First one on top, we have our Ultra Frame from Draw-Tite, part number 41945. Now this is a Class 5 hitch. Next one up is a Curt, part number 14055. This one is a Class 4 hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2005 Ford Van - Curt- Video

Today on our 2005 Ford Van we're going to be installing the Curt Front Mounted Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 33055. Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, a winch or a spare tire carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground we have 14 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper we have 5 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now to begin with we're going to need to remove this plastic valance piece right here on the underside. There's a total of four push fasteners that will need to be removed, two on each side. more
