Today on our 2008 Saturn Vue we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit with the seven wire to six wire flexo coil. Part number is RM-15267. Now, for the towed vehicle wiring kit our installation of our four pole wire, it's going to start well before you get the fascia put back on the car. We do this during the base plate process, and it's going to allow us to route our wire in behind that fascia where we wouldn't normally be able to reach so we can get it nice and secure, make sure we don't have any loose edges or anything like that, or any wires hanging any places we don't want. Get that to come down through. Basically, just going to go by the end of the battery here, and then we can route this across and down to our plug area here. Now, I've already attached the bracket just to give us an idea of where that's going to sit. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Saturn Sky- Video
Today, on this 2008 Saturn Sky, we're going to review and install the Curt Class One inch and a quarter receiver hitch, part number C11114. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Saturn Sky. At first glance, you can see that the body of the hitch does sit below the bumper cover, here, due to the way the vehicle is constructed, so it has to be sitting down a little bit low like this. We'll cover some more details here. We notice we've got a nice reinforcement ring around our inch and a quarter hitch, here. Most others do not have this one, so it's a nice touch. This uses a half inch hitch pin, that does come with the kit. more

You're also going to have your safety chain connection points here, which are going to be nice and easy to access. Our attachment tabs here are going to make it very easy because they're easily accessed, but also with where they sit, since they're about flush with the front of the vehicle, it's going to be very easy to operate our arms with them. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Saturn Sky- Video
Today on this 2008 Saturn Sky, we're going to review and install the draw type 4 pull hard wire kit with circuit tester, part number 18252. A couple notes on when you're not using it, of course, it's going to stay right here and we can go ahead and shut the trunk hatch on it. It should present no problems. Then when we need to use it, we'll simply pull it out, take out our slack, just run it out the back here. There's enough gap right here it won't hurt the wires when you close the hatch. There's plenty of space in here, I can move the wire so nothing will get pinched and plus we have enough to go down to our trailer hitch. Keeping it somewhat inside the vehicle will make the contacts on the 4 pull last a lot longer than sitting outside all the time. This is the parts that you get. more
