Installing the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS- Video
Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the EcoHitch trailer hitch receiver here on our 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS. Typically with a Mercedes-Benz you're not really gonna be towing a trailer. You're mostly gonna be hauling maybe a cargo carrier or what we mostly see here and what our neighbor needs today is a spot for them to haul their bike rack. Now this has a two inch by two inch receiver tube, so if you have a 1-1/4 inch bike rack, you are gonna need to get a reducer so you can drop down and actually fit that in there unless your bike rack already has an adapter. Along with that since this is a nicer car, typically you're not gonna wanna have that receiver tube sitting here every single day. You might wanna hide that. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Stealth Hitch rack receiver on a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG. Now this is gonna be available in two different kits. One of them's only gonna allow you to have a receiver that's going to have the capacities to hold a bike rack or cargo carrier and the other one's gonna be the towing kit. And that's gonna allow you to tow a trailer and also include a seven-pole as well as an adapter for four-pole and all the wiring necessary to legally pull a trailer. The rack receiver is going to be completely hidden once you're driving around, but when you're ready to put your accessories in place, you'll have this two inch by two inch receiver block that's going to go in here (receiver block clanging) and then allow you to be able to get those accessories around. more

Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bar Fit Check - 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Demco Dominator Tow Bar on a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. When it comes to flat towing any vehicle, there's gonna be five main components that are gonna be required. And the first part on the vehicle is gonna be the base plate. That's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating this structural mounting point for the rest of the components, as well as the connecting point, which is your tow bar. Tow bar goes from the base plate to the hitch on the RV. And just like towing any trailer, you also have safety cables that attach to the hitch on the RV. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. Now adding this additional sway bar to your sprinter is gonna make a huge difference. If you've driven a sprinter just once you know that once you're out on the highway, they're fairly top heavy. I used one as a delivery vehicle for a long time and when it's dusty out or when you're passing a semi, it is gonna wanna sway. And especially our RV style here, there's a lot more weight going into it. And the sprinter does have a factory sway bar, but this is an additional one to just further fight that sway that you're gonna get throughout the suspension. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings front helper springs on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. Suspension enhancement is something that a lot of people overlook, but as you're out on the road, especially in a Sprinter, you probably notice they're a little bit top-heavy feeling, and sometimes that translates to when you're driving it, it just doesn't feel as planted because it's leaning. And so cutting down on that sway while driving is really gonna just give you a little bit more confidence in your steering, your braking, and just less sway back and forth. So whether it's a gust of wind from a semi, or if you're in heavy torrential rain, whatever it may be, feeling more planted and really being connected with the road a little bit more and reducing that body sway is really gonna just make a better overall driving experience every time you use it. And that's the great part about these is once they're installed, there's no maintenance. They're already ready to go, and these are super easy to get in place. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing these SumoSprings rear helper Springs on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. Adding suspension enhancements to any Sprinter, whether it be an RV or a cargo Sprinter, is gonna be a huge upgrade. I've driven a Sprinter plenty of times out on the road and it feels very top heavy whether you're turning or just getting side gusts. Either way, there's a lot of sway and if you can minimize that, it's just gonna make for a better driving experience. You're gonna get better feel in the steering wheel, better braking, and just overall a better ride for you and either the people riding with you or the components of your vehicle inside of there. Also, adding some suspension enhancement is gonna prolong the lifespan of the suspension that's on there from the factory because it's not allowing it to sag all the way down and kind of at a range where that suspension can't do the work. more

Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Mercedes and overall it's a very clean look and that's because it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see is the functional part of the hitch here where you're gonna be loading things up so you get a nice clean look and all the usability of your hitch. Now this one is a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great for a number of different accessories. It's kind of the standard size. So when choosing ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have tons of options. Now all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Setting up the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver on your 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Stealth Hitch Hidden Rack Receiver on the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK Class. Now this is what your receiver's gonna look like when it's installed on the vehicle and you may say, "well, that sticks out pretty far, it's pretty unsightly," but it is a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great. The great part about this though is being a Stealth Hitch, when you wanna maintain that nice clean look of your Mercedes, you can simply unlock this top and with the twist of this handle, we can drop our receiver out and take our key with us and that's gonna give us a nice clean, hidden look when we're not using our receiver. Now I did mention that this is a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, which is really nice. It's kind of the standard when it comes to a lot of different accessories, whether it be a bike rack or cargo carrier. And those are all gonna stay in place with a 5/8" pin clip. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Sumo Springs Solo Custom Rear Helper Springs on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. We've installed this on a RV style sprinter chassis, but I've driven a Sprinter as a delivery vehicle for a little bit, and it all shares the same sway issues. So adding these to either a cargo van or an RV is gonna be a great option, and it's gonna work all the same. Hi John with etrailer. Listen, if you're ready for hitch mounted accessories or some light duty towing with your Mercedes, then look no further. This is Draw-Tite Class III Receiver Hitch that we installed on our 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300. Now if we take a close look at the hitch, you're gonna see that this has a gloss black power coat finish on here from Draw-Tite and this is a hidden cross tube style. The only part of the receiver that you're gonna see is just the receiver tube opening right here. The rest of it's tucked up underneath, behind the bumper. more

Curt 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Installation - 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt Universal Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300. Now right out the gate, I will recommend potentially picking up a different kit and reason being is this doesn't come with all of the parts that you need. You will need to pick up a fuse holder, a fuse, butt connectors, as well as ring terminals and a power wire to get this one to work. And that's because this kit does not include all of that, but there is a universal kit that does encompass all of that, allowing you to get your install done with that one package. Now I will point out, if your vehicle is the premium or premier package, the universal kit is gonna be the only one that works with this. But if you don't have that package, you're actually in luck. more

When it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a really important decision, you know, because it's responsible for a lot of the work. And the Nighthawk is definitely one of my favorites. It's a more premier-type tow bar and it's gonna be really user friendly and work out really well. So one of the biggest things a lot of people are concerned with is how easy is it to hook up And being a direct-connect style, really nothing to it, but more importantly, the majority of this tow bar is made from aluminum. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. Now, the Avail is definitely one of the heavier duty tow bars out there on the market, because it's rated at 10,000 pounds. That means if you ever plan on moving up to a larger towed vehicle, this should be able to handle that. One of the main things that I always recommend to people when choosing a tow bar is get a non-binding tow bar. And what that simply means is, when you start towing your vehicle, the arms are gonna draw out and lock in place. more
