Installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs on a 2022 Ford F-150- Video
Hey neighbors, Kevin here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 with internal jounce bumper air helper springs here on our 2022 Ford F-150. These air springs are gonna be a double convoluted design with custom fit brackets, so that way they'll match right up with your frame rails and your axle, so that way you're not having to drill any holes into the frame or do any other kind of crazy adjustments just to get these installed. Now, these do run from five PSI up to 100 PSI and that 100 PSI where you're hitting that 5,000 pounds of capacity. Now just because it has 5,000 pounds of capacity doesn't mean your vehicle actually does. So to not damage your suspension or anything else in your vehicle, make sure that you are double-checking your owner's manual and figuring out exactly what your payload and gross towing weight capacity is, so that way you're not over-straining your vehicle even though you think that you can, just because of that added capacity with the air springs. So when you are hauling that trailer or throwing in that heavy load in the bed of your truck, you're typically gonna see that sag. more

Hey, neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar here on our 2022 Ford F-53 chassis. If you've ever driven a class A motorhome, then you know sway comes standard with your package. It is going to be because this is a giant rectangle, it's gonna be pretty top-heavy and it's gonna have a lot of wind pressing against it, especially when you're out on the highway. So dealing with that sway is going to be a top priority so that you have a comfortable ride quality and so that you're not white knuckling and wearing yourself out and having all that driver fatigue just trying to make it to your campsite. An anti-sway bar typically is gonna be required at the front, but it's not always the case at the rear, even though it probably should be, especially with these larger motorhomes. more

All of the heavy crosswinds that you face going up against this rectangle body, forcing it side to side as you're making those tight turns, especially on these roads where it's really, really narrow and you don't really have much room to work with. Trying to stabilize yourself so that you can track straight and not start leaning over into another lane and potentially hitting something or hitting another vehicle is gonna be super important. Now the idea behind this is that this is going to be another cross member that's gonna be running between your two frame rails. more

Hey neighbors, County here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Ball and safety chain loop of four Underbed OEM Gooseneck Hitches here on our 2024 Ford F350 Super Duty. This is gonna be an all encompassing kit and it's gonna include your safety chain loops, the hitch ball itself, and a replacement cover. And most importantly, it's gonna have a carrying case so that way when you're all done towing, you can take your grease ball out and your safety chain loops and pack them up and have them a nice and secure and a weatherproof case. Now this does come in a couple of different weight capacities and fitness, so you will wanna make sure that you're getting the correct one for your vehicle. This particular one is designed to fit GM, Ford, and Nissan Underbed gooseneck hitches. If you have a RAM, you are gonna wanna make sure that you switch over and get the correct one that's designed for the RAM underbed gooseneck hitch. more

B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Comprehensive Review - 2024 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video
Hey neighbors, today we're gonna be taking a closer look at the B&W Companion with the sliding base for Ford OEM puck systems here in our 2024 Ford F350. So if you are a new owner of a F350 or maybe you just haven't really gotten into towing until just now and you do have the OEM puck system, then you're gonna want a fifth wheel hitch that's gonna match that connection type. Our companion today has the puck system built into the base so that way we can easily just drop it right in, no mess, no extra work, you just slap the latches back in place, put your pin and clip in and you're ready to go. But there are a few other factors that you're gonna want to consider, biggest one being your bed length. So ours today is a short bed, it's six and three quarters, so we're gonna have some clearance issues depending on the size of the nose of our trailer. Now if you have an older trailer, it's typically gonna be a little bit more boxy, whereas a lot of newer ones have started to taper the nose so that way you get a little bit more turning clearance out of it so that you can make those 90s, but in those cases, where you still can't make that 90, that's where the sliding base is gonna come into play. more

So that way, as soon as you hook up, you can come over here, check your tongue weight and make sure that you have your trailer properly loaded, so that way, you're not swaying all over the road when you're towing your trailer. Installing the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch in a 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hey, neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Patriot, along with the custom-mounting brackets and base rail kit here on our 2024 Ford F-250. Now if you are like our neighbor today and you have a short bed F-250 and you're wanting to use a trailer that has a pin box that is rotating, so like our neighbor today is gonna be using a Reese Sidewinder. And there's a lot of stipulations that go along with that because you need four strong mounting points for your hitch before you can actually hook up to and use one of those rotating pin boxes. So that's where having a base rail kit is going to come into play, along with our Patriot fifth wheel hitch. Now typically with a '24 and up, or even maybe 2020, you're typically seeing those puck systems or you're gonna be putting in a gooseneck. We'd really love to recommend the B&W turnover ball and Companion because it offers you the benefit of having a empty bed along with a gooseneck and then a fifth wheel option so that you can tow everything. more

Installing the B&W Universal Base Rails on a 2024 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hey neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be showing you how to install the B&W Universal Base Rail Kit, along with the custom frame-mounted brackets here on our 2024 Ford F-250. This base rail kit, along with many others, is gonna be indicated with an ISR, which stands for Industry Standard Rails. And what that means is that the spacing between the front and rear rail is going to be a set standard, so that way you can flip multiple hitches in and out of this. So maybe if you decide you don't like the hitch you have, or maybe you wanna switch to a sliding fifth-wheel hitch, you would have the slots for it. And that's what these three different slots are, just so that you can fit those different spacings. Now the bigger thing when it comes to base rails is, well, now this is taking up space in my bed and it's not removable. more

If you're towing a fifth wheel trailer or a gooseneck trailer, then having an in-bed seven way is going to be a game changing option for hooking up your trailer. Now typically most trailers don't really come with enough cable, so when you're having to loop it over the tailgate and then plug into the standard seven way at the back of the vehicle, you're usually really, really tight on there and you're kind of angling it up quite a bit. So it typically is gonna wear out the cord right at the plug. And since most trailers come with a molded plug, there's no way to just replace the plug. You're now replacing the whole cable. more

If you're looking for something that's gonna get rid of that sway that you see in your bike rack when you're driving down the road or you're getting that rattle out of maybe your ball mount in the back there and you're getting tired of hearing that noise, this is gonna be a good option for you. This is something I use on my Jeep when I have my cargo carrier on the back and it keeps all my gear steady and I don't see it back there wiggling around. To me, that kind of drives me nuts a little bit. more

All right, to start off our install, we gotta remove the air dam right here. This is our curved one, like here, there's a different type, depending on the vehicle. It gets a little different on different trim levels, but I think we got the easy one here with the curved air dam right here. Now we also have it up in the air too. You'll have to have it in the air, but just makes it easier for you guys to see what's going on, how we install it. There's two fasteners that I can see that we need to remove. more

A Closer Look at the 3D MAXpider Kagu Custom Floor Liners in a 2023 Ford Maverick- Video
Hello neighbor, this is Curt at Etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the 3D MAXpider Cargo custom floor mats for this 2023 Ford Maverick. So let's take a look at what makes these floor mats special. The top layer here is gonna be a thermoplastic rubber. It is textured, and what that texturing is gonna help do is scrape any excess dirt, grime, mud, snow off of your boots or shoes when you get in. It's also gonna feature this heel pad here for the driver brake and gas pedals, just to help keep from doing any extra wear on the mats themselves. How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at the LittleShift from Benton, single bike carrier that's gonna allow you to get your bike on the trail without making contact to your frame. So let's take a closer look at it and see how it interacts with our F-150. The LittleShift is really cool because it allows you to work both as a wheel-mounted or frame-mounted carrier. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a paint job that you don't necessarily want contact with, it works well. Or if you have fenders on your bike and you need to secure it, it's gonna secure right to the frame itself. The one thing that I think that's great, this is gonna work for that person that's on those solo misses that just wants to get out and hit the trail, and they just want a easy, out-of-the-way type of bike carrier. more

Hey neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Air Lift's LoadLifter Ultimate 5000 air springs here on our 2020 Ford F-250. So if you're like our neighbor today and you plan on hauling multiple trailers or you're just really hauling some heavy equipment like our neighbors today, they have a truck with a puck system. So we know he's gonna be hauling a lot of different things, whether it's his fifth wheel or he is going to be hauling a gooseneck trailer or something like that. An air spring setup is going to be the most ideal option for you 'cause with a typical jounce spring, you're not really gonna get that additional support you might need with those heavier options. And if you go too heavy with that jounce spring, you might have a bad unloaded ride quality. Whereas with these air springs, you can easily adjust that psi up and down, that way when you are unloaded, you're not feeling that super harsh, stiff suspension at the back. more

Kevin with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Air Lift WirelessONE air spring compressor here on our 2020 Ford F-250. Whether you are just now getting Air Springs on your truck or you've already had 'em for a while, you'll definitely want to pick up a onboard compressor to make airing up those air springs or lowering 'em back down, while you're out at the job site a whole lot more convenient. The nice thing about this compressor is it can be controlled with either the included remote or you can just download the app with your smartphone and have no problems adjusting your PSI level either up or down. And just kind of getting that monitoring system to where you can run some diagnostics, make sure everything is going fine with your air springs. Now with that phone app, it makes it a whole lot easier to see it all and you're not running anything into the dash. We didn't have to run any wires inside of our vehicle. more
