Now, you may be asking yourself, "Why would I want to change from the original incandescent bulb over to an LED" Well, we've gone ahead and installed the passenger side with an LED already. And comparing between the two, you could already see how much brighter and clearer of a vision this is going to give you on the road versus the incandescent bulb. The incandescent bulb looks a little more yellowed, a little more faded. It doesn't really give you that big line of vision that you'll get out of an LED bulb. more

Now, this is a 2017 Honda Accord Coupe. This is gonna install a little bit differently from the sedan models that you're seeing more of today, which would make you go through the trunk. On the Coupe, we actually have to go into these openings that are underneath here on either side of the license plate. Now let's take a look at how we get that done. Setting Up Your Sylvania 9006SU Halogen Headlight Bulb - 2002 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
Hi, everyone, Bruce here at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at and install the SYLVANIA SilverStar ULTRA Halogen Bulbs on our 2002 Chevy Blazer. Our neighbor that brought in this vehicle today for the headlamps upgrade, they actually told us they didn't even realize they had their headlamps on when they actually turned them on, because they we inchesre very dull and a very yellow light, so that may be one reason you need to go ahead and upgrade your bulbs in your vehicle as well. Now, on this particular vehicle today, we upgraded the old halogen bulbs with SYLVANIA's Halogen SilverStar ULTRA, which is the top of the line they carry. It is gonna give you the brightest light, and it is gonna travel further down the road, and also give you a wider view of the road. Now, taking a look at our SilverStar ULTRA that we just installed on the driver's side, looking at the wall here, it is a whiter light than the factory is a more yellow light. more

Hi, everyone, Bruce here at etrailer. Today we are going to install the H11 Sylvania LED light in our 2011 Ford Fusion. If you've got the old style halogen lights, you know how yellow-looking they are, and your visibility is not as great when you have an LED. Now, I think I would recommend that the Sylvania LEDs, their H11s, they're a direct replacement for your factory halogens. Now as far as the installation goes, it's not that bad on some vehicles, but this particular vehicle, it was a little bit cumbersome on the passenger side where we did have to pull off the fascia a little bit. And it doesn't give you much room to work there. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and I'm gonna show you how to replace your reverse lights on your 2011 Ford Fusion, using the Sylvania LED replacement, size 921 SL, in white. So this bulb is gonna work for your 2011 forward, and it will just pop right in. The process is pretty straightforward, and I'll show you how to get it done. So when handling light bulbs in general, LED or otherwise, or incandescent, you wanna make sure you have gloves on, so you don't get the oils from your hand on the bulb, 'cause that can shorten its life. So now, we're gonna remove this panel, just using this one part here, and we're gonna make use of our body removal tool, and we're just gonna kind of get behind the plastic and get it off. Now, there are clamps down here, and you can just give it a little tug, and that'll free it and give you just enough space to pull down this carpet and get back here to your light space. more

Today we have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Diode Dynamics SS3 pod lights with the amber backlight. Most of your Jeeps out there on the market are gonna come with factory fog lights, which is what these are going to take the place of. But some of them will come with your standard halogen bulbs and they do not do a whole lot when you're out on the road or if you're offroading, anything like that. The LED fog lights that come on like the Rubicons and the Willys models, those are actually pretty good. These lights, I still personally think that they're gonna perform better because they have more LEDs inside of them and they're really designed specifically for the fog application. more

A Closer Look at the Diode Dynamics Hitch Lights- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Diode Dynamics C1 and C1R Hitch-Mounted Lights for 2" hitches. Here we have our running lights on the Jeep turned on and we see that we have this nice red color. So it gives a little bit of awareness to people that are behind you to just give a little bit, you know, more whether it be foggy out or whatever, more lighting generally lets people know that there's something in front of them and it looks really good in the process. Now the running light function, you're gonna get on both styles and you're also gonna be getting a reverse light. So when I put our vehicle in reverse, it's gonna give us a white backup light, which is really nice because it's gonna keep the light low and projected of where you're backing up. So especially if you have a backup camera, backing up at night if you have tinted windows or just backing up at night in general can be a little bit tricky. more

So these guys right here are gonna work in place of your incandescent or halogen bulbs to fit into the slot for any one of your accessories that uses a white light. These guys actually have a dual-side LED and a heat shield that's gonna help disperse the heat from the LED while using less power, so let's take a closer look and see what it does for us. So as far as our base, it does not require a polarity, so you don't have to worry about which way you put it into the socket. This is a T20 SC base, so it's gonna slide right into a wide variety of automotive applications,. and the wattage that it's gonna use is actually 1.7 watts. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and I'm gonna show you how to change all of the taillights in the taillight assembly of your 2019 Chevy Sonic. Now I'm gonna use the Sylvania ZEVO 7440 Blade Style Bulb, and I'll show you how to get it going. So what you're gonna need to get started is a Phillips head screwdriver. It'll be helpful if you had a panel removal tool, just to get that light out of the back of the vehicle pretty easily, a pair of gloves, 'cause you don't ever want to touch a light. The oils from your hand can severely limit the lifespan on it. And we're just gonna pop this guy out. more

We're working with a 2019 Chevy Sonic and it's an easy process. You're gonna need a pair of gloves, lemme show you how to get it going. And you can see our headlights, they look very similar because they are pretty much the same model, just replacing one. The new one on the passenger side is slightly brighter, but it's gonna be completely effective as far as illuminating your path as you go down the road. Hey, everyone, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. I wanna walk through how to install Sylvania's SilverStar Ultra incandescent bulbs. A traditional incandescent bulb, if you're closer to my age, you kind of had that thought, "It's kind of a yellowish tint." You get on a dark road, you really can't see that far, you can't see off the side of the road very much. With these SilverStar Ultras, you get more of a white color, a brighter white, which is gonna benefit you a lot more. It's gonna give you a lot farther sight distance on those dark roads, you're gonna see a lot better off to the sides, it's gonna make it a lot more safer for you and your family. more

Hi, this is Scott with etrailer, and today we're gonna be installing Sylvania SilverStar Ultra Bulbs on this 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The biggest difference was with the SilverStar Ultras versus your standard bulb is gonna be just how much fuller you're gonna have. Like on this one, you'll notice that it doesn't really fill the entire bulb with light and it's almost like a really dull yellow lighting here, where on the SilverStar, you could tell that it just completely filled the bulb on the inside of our housing here. Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at the Sylvania XtraVision Round H5006XV Sealed Beam Halogen Headlight. Now, this is going to replace your standard equipment halogen headlight with the same grade and specifications, and as I mentioned, this bulb type is H5006, the base is A-3, and the reflector is PAR46. So, that parabolic reflector shape is going to give you a longer beam and a defined edge at a distance with greater contrast. The 3,200 kelvin color temperature is going to give you a pure, more neutral white color than the 2,700 to 3,100 kelvin options. This light has a rated average life of about 320 hours, and your harness is going to plug into the back of this light. more

Now this is going to replace your standard equipment halogen headlight with the same grade and specifications. As I mentioned, the bulb type is H6024, the base is A-3, and the reflector is PAR56. Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at an Optronics LED trailer mini clearance and side marker light with grommet. It's round and it's a one diode red lens. Now, folks, I will go ahead right now from the start, shut off my overhead lights just so we can get a quick view of this while I've got wired up in the dark. So let's go ahead and shut off these lights, and I'm gonna go ahead and zoom out now. And this is about, oh, I'd say 10 feet away or more, give or take. more

Now, I am gonna go ahead and shut off the overhead lights real quick, just so you can see this in the nighttime mode, and let's zoom out. So, again, just a small one diode option here. Red, gonna turn it off and on there, there you go. more

Folks, this is a small, oval-shaped trailer light with functioning both as either a clearance or a tail light. I know with the camera here, it may look amber, but it is red, and again, it is properly mounted, it can be an oval side or a clearance marker. It is sonically-sealed, so it's not gonna be leaking water or moisture or anything. It's permanently sealed together. more
