Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Derale 10 row stacked plate cooler with the minus 10 ANO-ring female inlets. Now the stacked cooler will prolong the life of your engine or your transmission and the stacked plate coolers will typically manage to cool a greater volume of fluid faster than the tube and fin or even the plate and fin models. The stack plate cooler is designed with 10 rows of two inch deep turbulator plates for increased capacity and more efficient cooling. And what's nice is that turbulator technology is when the fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer but also to prevent any undesirable drop in the pressure. I do wanna let you know that this transmission pan cooler is going to fit most 1982 to 1999 model 4L60Es, but some models may require a smaller transmission filter to get it to fit, this will not fit on all models, so I just wanted you to be aware of that. Now, these are commonly used on vintage hot rods and race cars, and Derale's pan coolers are designed to add a little extra cooling power to keep your vehicle's transmission operating at its best. The simple installation is going to involve replacing your existing oil pan with this new one, which in addition to providing the cooling power, this is also going to increase your fluid capacity by two quarts, four ounces. The built-in 5/8 of an inch turbulator tubes are going to offer superior cooling by allowing air to flow through, pulling the heat that is collected in the pan's surface and dissipating it into the surrounding environment, potentially reducing fluid temperatures by as much as 20 degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. more

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Derale Dyno-Cool Class III transmission cooler on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now, our customer, John, has had this installed on his vehicle because he was able to check his transmission temperature via the cluster on the truck. And he saw that it was at about 190 degrees while towing instead of that normal operation temp of about 160 to 170, and he wanted to bring those temps down. And this is definitely the best way to do that because you have a whole new cooling element that's up front that ties into the existing cooling system, so it really just gives it a nice little buffer to kinda precool that down before going back, it's just gonna keep those temps running cool. And that's gonna give you a longer transmission life. more

Now, vast majority of automatic transmission failures are a direct result of overheating, and towing can place an extra strain on your transmission causing it to get hot, and an aftermarket transmission cooler can help prevent overheating, and extend the life of your vehicle's transmission, and even if you don't tow, keeping your transmission cooler can be beneficial. Even a relatively small drop in fluid temperature can almost double the transmission's life, and increased its performance. Now, most of the factory cooling systems are adequate at best, rarely maintaining your transmission's fluid within the ideal operating range of about 160 to 200 degrees. So adding a transmission cooler is not difficult, and it can even extend the life of your vehicle, and ensure that it functions at its best. more

It's got the radiator style plate and fin heat exchanger, which provides that increased surface area so that the fluids can spread out along the vented chambers, so that as that cool air blows into your vehicle, you're going to have more surface area so that fluid will cool down faster, which is, of course, going to help prolong the life of your transmission. As we get cooler fluids flowing through, it's going to help that. more

Today we'll be taking a look at a Derale hyper cool remote cooler assembly with fans. This helps your vehicle to work at optimum performance by keeping your engine or your transmission cool, even when you're towing a heavy load or encountering high temperatures while you're out on the road. We'll not only have our cooling system on the bottom here, this stacked plate design, but we'll also have our fans, so that's going to give us an optimized cooling system to make it super efficient in getting everything cooled down and working properly. Our surface here is a stacked plate design, so we'll have the plates that our fluid goes through, and then the little thins going in between so that it creates a large surface area for all that heat to dissipate out. And then with the fans, in addition to that, it's going to pull the air through and get everything cooled down really quickly. Today on 2011 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be installing Derale Series 8000 Plate and Transmission Cooler. This transmission cooler is going to help extend the life of your transmission. It's an auxiliary supplemental cooling system for your transmission to further cool the fluid.What this means for you is that if you use your vehicle for a lot of heavy towing, that puts a lot of extra stress on your transmission, which builds excessive heat. This cooler will help dissipate that heat and allow it to operate more under normal conditions, extending the life even when under those stressful towing conditions.We'll begin our installation at the front of the vehicle by removing our front grill. There are several pins across the front center, at the top, that we're going to remove using a flat-bladed screwdriver. Pop out the center first and then you can pull the pin out. more

Today on our 2010 Acura MDX, we're going to be installing Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler.This is what our transmission cooler's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to extend the life of your transmission by keeping your fluid cooler and at normal operating temperatures. This is particularly useful if you plan on using your vehicle for heavier towing that can cause extra wear and tear on the transmission and generate a lot of excess heat. This additional cooler will help dissipate that heat allowing the fluid to act as if you we're driving it under more normal conditions.It's a radiator-style cooler, meaning that it is air cooled. Today we're gonna be taking a look at Derale's Series 9000 Plate Thin Transmission Coolers. These come in varying sizes labeled as class one, class five. These are also available individually with just a cooler or as kits that come with mounting hardware and the hoses and adapters you need to get it installed.Now all these coolers will fit on just about every vehicle. The big factors you wanna look into is how much hauling you're planning on doing and heat dysplasian 00:00:27 you need, and how much space inside you have available on your vehicle to get it mounted up.
