Now this lead wire is going to adapt a hard wire harness to a bullet connector, and as you can see on one end is a stripped wire. The other end is a 0.180 inch female bullet connector. This is a black wire and the overall length, lemme get my ruler here real quick, see if I can show that to you on that closeup. So end-to-end, stretching that out, as you can see, we're sitting right at seven. more

Checking Out the Curt 4-Way Flat Magnetic Connector Adapter- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the CURT four-ole flat magnetic adapter. This simple adapter allows you to connect your four-pole trailer wiring harness by just magnetically snapping this together, and it holds it really tight. There's gonna be these tabs that lock it into place, and all of your contact points are spring loaded. So that way, every time that you put these together, they're gonna make full contact, transmitting that light signal from the four-pole on your vehicle to the taillights on your trailer. So it's gonna accomplish the same thing as just a four-pole flat, but having this adapter makes it super easy to hook up. more

So this will be a great solution for those of you whose connectors are damaged, corroded, worn out, whatever, but the rest of your trailer wiring is in otherwise good condition. You know, if you're getting a intermittent signal from these being loose, or you know, all beat up and everything, really no reason to deal with changing out all the other wiring on the trailer when you could just get a new end on it, get everything fresh and working again, with the four-way flat end, you're gonna get your right turn, your left turn, your brake lights and your taillights. And this has a pretty cool design on it too, where the connector end is super beefy, right You have these little handles here you can grab, there's little poles right there too, with some ledges to give you a little bit of extra grip. Super heavy-duty cap, which is nice, especially if you store your trailer outside, you know, get in the habit when you're not using it to pop that cap on, and just help keep the weather off of it. more

Installing the Hopkins 7-Way Blade Style Connector with Molded Cable- Video
Hey, everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a flatbed trailer, and we're gonna be replacing the seven pole trailer end with the Hopkins molded seven pole. This seven pole plug is gonna be eight foot long, so it's gonna be plenty long enough (metal clanging) if you wanted to tie it into a junction box, and give you plenty of extra to attach it to your vehicle plug. It's gonna be a blade style connector, so it's gonna fit pretty much any standard vehicle seven pole plug. As far as the wire colors, the wire colors are also gonna be standard. more

Review of Pollak Trailer Wiring - 6 Way Vehicle End Connector - PK12720- Video

Now this will let you establish a secure electrical connection between your RV and your tow vehicle using the six-way round pin socket. The six-way socket connects your tow vehicle's lights to your RV's lights. This is a plastic socket, has the round solid brass pins to ensure minimum voltage drop. Now, this kit here will allow to upgrade from a four-way, five-way, or six-way connector to the seven-way connector. As we mentioned, it includes this junction box so that you can quickly and easily connect the wires from the included trailer connector to your trailer's wiring. Now, I've already taken out the two large screws that hold the lid in place and you just pop off the lid and there you can see your connections on the inside. It includes these ring terminals to make your wire connections and these extra rubber seals, some are open, some are closed, that you can put in here. more

Now basically what this adapter will allow you to do, it'll allow you to use your existing 4-way flat wiring harness that might be on your vehicle with a 7-way plug that'll be on the trailer. So this is great for if you borrow a trailer and it has a 7-way on it, and then you'd have a 4-way on your vehicle. Instead of worrying about how you're gonna make your connection, if you have this adapter, you'll just plug this into the 4-way on your vehicle, open this up, plug your 7-way right in there. Now this will give you all the trailers, the tail light functions that you're gonna need to be legal when towing the trailer. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we gonna take a look at this Optronics 35 foot long Wishbone four-Way trailer wiring harness with the 30 inch long ground wire. Now this is a 35 foot split Wishbone four-Way trailer wiring harness with the four conductors and the 30 inch long ground wire. Now the Wishbone design makes it easier to wire the tail lights, simplifies installation process. Basically, the Wishbone design takes the running light circuit and splits it at the trailer connector so you not have to run a jumper wire from one tail light to the other. And as we mentioned, if you notice, it does include this 30 inch long ground wire with the ring terminal attached to it to connect to a good clean ground. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Pollak in-bed seven-pole wiring on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. Now this is gonna be a really great addition if you have a fifth wheel or gooseneck. And when you plug in your trailer, instead of having to drape it over your tailgate, you'll have this wiring right in your bed, making it super easy, and it keeps all your cords inside of the bed as you're going down the road. Now this obviously you have to have a factory seven way to be able to tie into that. It's really just a jumper harness, but it makes it super convenient. It's gonna give you all the same functions as you would your normal seven poles. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2019 Ram 1500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Pollak 6-way Round Trailer Connector Plug. But before we do that, let's just take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So with these 6-way round plugs, it's going to be a great replacement to your existing one or even you know, the original one that you're gonna start out with. So if your tow bar wiring kit didn't come included with one of these, you can always use the Pollak here, get it hooked up and get all your signals sent back to your taillights. With this connector, it's right on par with a lot of the other ones out there. more

And I say it because not only do you have the seven-way round type connector here, but built into it you also have the four-way flat type trailer connector. So regardless if your trailer has, you know, a connector in like this or like this or if you have both or never know what you're gonna be pulling, you should have no issues being able to hook up and get all those signals. With this being just the connector plug, you are going to need existing seven-way wiring for this to work properly. more
