This is constructed of heat-treated high carbon steel, so it is going to be very strong and durable for you. It's got a capacity of 3,200 pounds and it is zinc plated for corrosion resistance, so it is gonna be ideal for your marine applications. This does have a two-way ratcheting mechanism so we can adjust which direction this is going to allow us to pull in, let out, or take in, like so. more

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a brief look at this Dutton-Lainson hand winch with automatic brake. This Dutton-Lainson industrial winch is designed for standard duty vertical lifting operations and the handle is positioned on the left for left-handed use and you're gonna simply crank the handle clockwise to lift your load and then counter clockwise to lower the load. And the automatic breaking mechanism is going to stop the load when the hand cranking stops. And right here you do see the brake pad. Hopefully you can see that right there and I don't, obviously, have any tension on this, so I won't be able to adequately demonstrate that for you. The handle length overall is about seven inches long. more

So as far as this winch goes it's going to be pretty straightforward and simple. It's a single speed winch which means there's no changing of gears but it does have a free spin mode that can be activated right here by flipping this lever and disengaging that mechanism entirely. So we can get the strap unspooled or get kind of brought up a little bit and flip that lever to engage the mechanism and tighten it further. more

It is going to have a capacity of 1,200 pounds with a minimum load of 75 pounds. The crank is operated by this included crank handle, so you can crank it clockwise to lift the load, and then if you do have that minimum load on there, you can also turn it counterclockwise to lower the load. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Hand Winch with the split reel and a 2,000 pound rated capacity. Now, this is a worm gear winch, it's designed for horizontal pulling and vertical lifting applications. You can see, you can crank one direction, that's to lift, the other direction to lower, and the load will automatically hold when the reel stops turning. It is a split and reel design, so it allows for simultaneous operation of two lines from opposite directions for greater versatility. The loop drive right here you can see, this allows the winch to be mounted out of reach and can be operated with a long shepard hook or a variable speed electric drill to crank the winch. more

Now this is gonna be excellent for you guys looking to either get just a little bit of a utility winch on your trailer or predominantly what we're showing it on here today, a boat, right Getting your boat up onto your trailer in no time and making it just a little bit easier to do so. Which winch is right for you, right The biggest thing is gonna be, how big is your boat, right So once you do have that in mind, we're gonna need at least half of our total weight of our boat, kind of being covered by the capacity. So what I mean by that Well, if you get a 2000 pound boat, you're gonna need a 1000 pound winch at least to make sure that we are kind of being safe. Now personally, and a lot of places will recommend that you need about 3/4 of that total boat weight, and that's just for safety, but mainly convenience. more

Today, I'm going to take a look at this Dutton-Lainson ceiling mount worm gear hand winch, with the loop drive and a 1500 pound weight capacity.Now, this Dutton-Lainson winch is designed to mount onto the ceiling, for multipurpose vertical lifting operations, has a loop drive right down here, which allows the winch to be mounted out of reach, and it's operated with a long shepherd's hook. And that is not included.Now, when the reel automatically stops turning, when the crank has stopped, it locks the load into place. It does have a nice powder coated, copper bronze finish on it and zinc plating on the hardware. It does use permanently lubricated bearings for easy operation.Now, this winch will hold up to 81 feet of 3/16 inch diameter cable, up to 61 feet of 7/32 of an inch diameter cable, or up to 43 feet of a 1/4 inch diameter cable. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Dutton Lainson StrongArm, 12 volt electric winch with the pulley block. Now this strong arm electric winch is used for horizontal pulling applications, has a 1,500 pound single line capacity, and if you use the pulley block, has a 2,200 pound double line capacity. Now this winch is powered by your vehicle's battery, using this included plugin wiring harness. This wiring harness will plug right into the side just like that. Does use a high torque 12 volt DC motor. Includes the circuit breaker overload protection right here on the harness, and this wiring harness has a 25 foot positive battery wire and an 8 foot ground wire. more

Today we're going to take a look at the TowSmart Zinc Plated Trailer Winch with the 20 foot long strap and a 1,500 pound weight capacity, how this two-way manual ratcheting winch makes loading and unloading your boat very easy. This hand winch will mount to your truck or trailer to ease the loading of ATVs, boats, and heavy equipment. It uses a two-way ratcheting mechanism that allows for simple tightening or loosening of the strap. The self-locking crank will ensure security while in use, and the two-way is the ratchet pawl up like this allows your handle to crank clockwise, which will bring the strap in.Then if you take this ratchet pawl and move it down then it will allow the handle to crank counterclockwise, so it will let the strap go out. Again, it's self-locking crank, when you let it go it does lock into place. The winch itself is a nice zinc plating. more

Today, we'll be taking a look at the Dutton Lainson Covered Hand Winch. This helps you to get any kind of bulky items loaded up, if you need to pull them horizontally. So it's going to work well for loading up your boat onto your trailer and of course, maneuvering any kind of bulky equipment.It's designed to pull objects that are up to 1500 pounds or 1,500 pounds. We'll have our handle and a little lever here at the bottom so we can put this into freewheeling mode, like it is now, or flip that up and then have it in our ratchet mode.That handle has a nice ergonomic grip so you can get a good purchase on that. Even if you have a larger hand than mine, I think that you'd still be able to get a pretty good grip on there. It's attached to our winch by a locking nut. more

Today we'll be taking a look at a Dutton-Lainson covered hand winch. This is going to help you get your boat back up on your trailer or reel it out so that you can enjoy a day on the water.The nice thing about this winch is that it has a completely covered housing. This cover is made of a durable plastic, and that is a three piece. The two screws at the back here, that if we we're to loosen those up, and we can take the two plates of the side and then take the top off there.That will be how you actually get this mounted up. You will need to remove that cover so you can get access to the mounting plate at the bottom.It comes with the 25 foot long polyester strap. Has that safety hook on there so we can clip that onto our boat or any other item that we're wanting to pull.Since this is a free wheeling winch, you don't want to use this for any kind of overhead lifting. more

Jake: Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to take a look at and I'm going to show you how to get in place the Fulton trailer winch. Now this winch is going to be available in a few different sizes. Just see etrailer for your correct fitment. This is going to be a one speed winch, which means it's going to have one gear paired with the outside gear for the spool itself, so it's going to have one speed to bring the strap back into itself rather than those two speeds that may be a little bit more complicated to use. Although you might get a little bit faster pull out of them, they have more things on them to break.The body of the winch itself is going to have a heavy duty steel construction with a zinc finish, which is going to help resist against that rusting corrosion that this winch may be susceptible to because of the amount of water it's going to be exposed to.It's going to have a seven inch handle which is plenty of handle to give you enough leverage to tighten up your boat to where it's secure. more
