Just to get a closer look, having a additional security device like this for your camper, trailer, anything with a coupler is gonna allow it so this latch doesn't open, so no one can hook up to your ball on the coupler. This is a great way to keep your load secured to the back of your truck or keep your trailer secured when you're out and about. So let's take a closer look at our lock. The shear strength for this stainless coupler is 4,200 pounds, so that's pretty impressive as far as the amount of pressure it can go under, and you also have O-rings on the inside for your internal components to help protect them against corrosion. Basically, when this is installed, it'll prevent the trailer ball from being inserted into another coupler, so it keeps others from hooking up to your trailer. And if you notice, the base on this is a nice bright orange color, which makes it a high-visibility theft deterrent. So, as you can see, this does feature a weather resistant PVC dust cap to help keep out any dirt or debris, and keep your lock cylinder clean and it'll keep from getting dirty and your key will be able to slide in there easily. So, to unlock this, you just simply take one of the two included keys and insert that key into the lock, and you want to give it just a little bit of a push and turn it clockwise, and then that's going to unlock it and you're gonna be able to release this. And I wanted to point out that once the key is in that unlocked position, you're not gonna be able to remove the key. more

Now this quarter-inch pin lock is going to insert through your coupler's lever-style latch to keep your trailer coupler secured on your hitch ball to help deter a theft. And this features a weather-resistant PVC dust cap to help keep any dirt and debris out of that lock cylinder. Two keys are included. And to unlock this, you just insert one of the keys into the lock, give the key a little bit of a push, and then just turn that clockwise, and that's going to unlock it and allow you to remove the pin. more

So this is gonna go up in your coupler and have the bar that ratchets in place here, and you lock it and not only can nobody mess with that part, nobody can hook up to your trailer when you're not around. Bulldog Lifelong Trigger-Style Coupler and Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock Review- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and taking a look at the Lifelong Trigger-Style Coupler Lock and 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock. The great thing about this lock set here is we have a locking 5/8" diameter hitch pin for the two inch hitch on our vehicle. And we also have a smaller trigger-style latch here for the coupler lock. Both of these locks use the same key. So it's gonna definitely cut down on the overall amount of keys that we have to have. Now, if you have multiple trailers you've been towing for a while, chances are, you've got a key chain full of locks there for all your different locking products. more
