Leaf springs are an essential component of your trailer suspension system. They're going to help support the load of the trailer itself and anything that's inside of it as well as help cushion your ride. Your suspension is made up of several components, the main one being your leaf springs. Then you're also gonna have your hangers, which are going to hold your equalizer if you have a tandem axle like we do on our enclosed trailer today. It's two inches wide. The eye diameter in the bushing up here, it's five eighths of an inch, and without the bushing in there, the opening is one and five sixteenths of an inch. Now the leaf thickness, the individual leaves here, there's six of 'em, that thickness individually is seven sixteenths of an inch, and again there are six leaves. more

This Dacromet coating goes through an extensive adhesion test and a salt spray test to ensure long lasting coverage for salt water and other water applications. Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the line of etrailer decrement coated leaf springs. The biggest difference between these springs and a standard set of leaf springs that are powder coated, is that the decrement coating is going to go through an extensive adhesion process to be able to get it to stick to the steel and not flake off. It's also going to be salt spray tested, so that you can use it in salt water applications, in freshwater applications, to resist rust and corrosion. When it's in water or you're on the road, and it's getting wet, it's gonna help with that rust. Now, as far as fitment goes, we do have several different kits that will fit different weight capacities, and different lengths between the eyes. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today I'm gonna be taking a look and showing you how to install etrailer's line of slipper springs. So when it's time to replace your slipper spring, there is a quick and easy way to measure for it so that you can make sure that you get the right one. First thing you wanna do though is also make sure you know what the axle capacity is because that's a real quick, easy way to, kind of, look it up on our site, if you go through our little facet guide. From there, also, you're gonna wanna lift up your trailer so that there's no weight coming down. Basically just lift it up from the frame and let your axle hang, and then you can take your tape measure, place it at the end of your slipper spring and run it over, and we're gonna get it to the center of that bolt that's holding it on the other side, which in our case, on this one, is 24-5/8. And if you had your slipper spring out, same deal, just from the end over to the center of that eyelet. more
