If you've ever been annoyed by a rattling hitch in the back of your vehicle or your cargo carrier wiggling around making a bunch of noise or maybe even your bike rack wiggling around, we have a few options here we're gonna take a look at and see if we can get that problem fixed for you. So this is what I really don't like with just having the regular 5/8 pin. You get a lot of movement and going down the road, I can hear that. And if I have gears stacked up high enough to where I can see it, I look in my rear view mirror and I can just see everything wiggling around back there and it kind of drives me nuts. So what we'll do is we'll try on a few of these anti-rattle devices and see which one will work out good for us. more

TowSmart Hitch Receiver Locking Pin with Cap Breakdown- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the TowSmart stainless locking hitch pin. When putting any accessory into a hitch, you need a pin and clip to hold it in place and really all it's gonna be is, well, a pin and a cotter pin to be able to snap that in. The problem is if you know this etrailer ball mount's looking pretty good, if I wanted that for my own personal vehicle, all I have to do is pull this off and this is mine now. To create a little bit of a deterrent, having a locking pin and clip is a great way to give someone just enough difficulty to where they probably shouldn't be able to defeat it, but they're not gonna wanna fight with that. Your accessory will be able to stay on the vehicle and it's gonna give you peace of mind when you have 'em loaded up or if you plan on keeping it back there because with it locked in place, that should be determined enough for someone not to mess with your accessories. The cool thing about this one is it's able to be used with class one, two, three, and four hitches. more

So folks, this will fit most inch and a quarter and two inch receivers, and it's gonna do that by simply unlocking this, taking apart, and you've got a sleeve on here, so without the sleeve, that is gonna fit a half inch hole or a one and a quarter by one and a quarter hitch receiver. Slide the adapter sleeve on, that gives you a five eighth inch for a two inch by two inch receiver. Lock it back in place, and you're good to go. Now the lock has a nice rubber cover to keep dirt and debris, and moisture out. more

Your lock is gonna have an included dust cap that's gonna help keep moisture and debris out of your lock. Another really cool thing about it, it is chrome, so that's gonna help hold up against the elements and resist corrosion. We're gonna unlock it so you can see on the inside, there's actually a little O-ring here that helps still keep the moisture out. That contact point in here, a lot of times with these types of lock pins, moisture gets on the inside of the lock core and it becomes very difficult to get it removed. So this is gonna be used with your Hollywood Racks bike racks or other accessories, you can double check our description here at etrailer and make sure you get the right part for you. We're gonna talk about which situations you might need this for as well as how to use it. Since this is a threaded pin, it's usually that way, so that it becomes an anti-rattle device, and that's why this needs to be used with Hollywood Racks accessories, because the thread on those accessories need to match the pin for it to work, this might not work for other brands' accessories. Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Hollywood Racks Threaded Hitch Lock for two inch hitches. Now, this locking hitch pin here will secure your bike rack to your vehicle, helps protect your bike rack from any theft. Basically, this hitch lock pin right here you can see has threads on it, and this pin will insert through your hitch pin holes that's on your two inch hitch, and then those threads will thread into the shank of your Hollywood Racks bike rack. And basically, what you'll do then is you tighten it all the way down and take a 3/4 inch wrench, tighten it a little bit further, and that'll help reduce any rattle or wobble between the shank that's inserted in your hitch. And then to lock it, you just take this push-to-lock body, you do wanna make sure it's in the locking position. more

Complete Breakdown of the Flint Hill Goods Lock for 2" & 2-1/2" Hitch- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this locking hitch pin from Flint Hill Goods. This is gonna have a 3 1/2 inch span, that's the inside edge to inside edge, so it's gonna make it a good fit for two inch or 2 1/2 inch receiver tubes. It's a 5/8 inch diameter pin, so it'll fit any standard hitch pin hole. Now, on my particular hitch, it's just a little hard to get to just because of the clearance I have with this plastic fascia, but it is really easy to put in otherwise. And then for the key, it's not a push to lock core, so you do have to apply some pressure to it in the unlocked position, which is honestly really awkward and hard to do. more
