Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Impreza we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw Tite Class I custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number DT24959.My overall impression of this hitch, it is one of the nicer looking ones because it does stick up nice, close to the bumper and hugs the car nicely. However, it is a Class I, so we are going to be limited on the accessories and the weight that we can pull with it. But compared to the Curt Class I, we're not going to have to worry about using any kind of stabilization straps if we are carrying a bike rack or a cargo carrier. It is going to sit right below the bumper, and that cross tube going from side to side is going to be visible. It's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great for some smaller bike racks or a small cargo carrier. Just keep in mind, since it is a Class I, it's only going to accept Class I accessories because there is that stop inside the back of the receiver tube. Now, the way we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here, and it is going to accept a half-inch pin and clip. more

It's going to sit right below the bumper, but really all we're going to see sticking out is that receiver tube. It's going to be pretty close to flush with our back bumper. It's a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2 in by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It has a reinforced collar, not only giving it that added strength, but also just an overall nice finished look to it.Since it's a class III, it's going to have a way variety of options available for accessories you can mount. We're going to be using the forward hole here to mount any of our accessories. It's going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

So when it comes to trimming, you can see that the Draw-Tite has a reinforced plate, which means you're gonna have to make your cut just a little bit wider, whereas your Curt can be a little bit smaller. Both these hitches are gonna have a half-inch hitch pin hole, however, your Curt is gonna give you a half-inch more clearance on the back of your vehicle, and the Curt will also give you a quarter-inch more ground clearance. Both these hitches are gonna be class ones. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Impreza we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 76209. My overall impression of this hitch is that it is gonna be great for a lot of different things. It does sit a little bit lower than some, it's a class three hitch which means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening which is gonna open up our options for accessories if we want to tow something or possibly carry up to several different bikes or a cargo carrier. The way we're gonna mount our accessories is gonna be the hole towards the front of our vehicle which is gonna be the hitch pin hole and that's gonna accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip. Now these aren't included in our kit but you can pick them up on our website using part number PC3. The secondary hole towards the back of the receiver tube is gonna be use exclusively for the J-pin stabilization device. The way that's gonna work is it's gonna go through the hitch pin hole like normal and then it's gonna have this hook here which is gonna go in and apply pressure to our accessory keeping it from rattling. more

Because it is a class one, so it is going to limit us on how much we can carry and the accessories. Now if you step up to a class two or three, it is going to open that to a lot more options. It is going to sit right below the bumper and we are going to see the cross tube. It's a class one hitch, which means it's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. We're going to be able to tow a rather heavy trailer and not have to worry about the tongue weight on it. At the same time, we're going to have the versatility to add a bike rack or a cargo carrier to free up some space inside our van.It is a class V, it is going to sit right below the bumper and that cross tube is going to be visible. It's going to give us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. We're going to have a lot of different options available for any kind of accessory that we want to mount ranging from a ball mount, bike rack, or a cargo carrier. The way we're going to mount all of our accessories is going to be the hitch pin hole here, which is going to be towards the front. Best 2018 Subaru Impreza Hitch Options

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2018 Subaru Impreza. On the top here we're going to have a Draw-Tite, and that's going to be a class three hitch. Right below that, we're going to have the Draw-Tite class one, and then, right below that, we're going to have a Curt class one hitch. Our two class one hitches are going to give us an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and they're going to be good for your smaller bike racks and smaller cargo carriers, but they are going to be limited on what we can use because of the smaller receiver tube opening and because they're class one. So the weight rating is going to be much lower. Our class three is going to give us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, and it's going to open up a lot more options when it comes to what kind of accessories we can use. We're going to be able to carry up to four bikes, larger cargo carriers, and a ball mount if you plan on doing some light duty towing. All three of our hitches are going to mount relatively the same. more

Best 2017 Honda CR-V Hitch Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2018 Honda CRV. Up top here we're going to have the CURT Class 3, and right below that we're going to have to Draw-Tite Class 3. Now the first thing you might notice is they look quite a bit different. Now the reason why they look so different is because of the way they're going to fit our CRV. The CURT is actually going to tuck up real nice and high, and that crosstube is going to be in between the trunk pan and the rear fascia, whereas the Draw-Tite is going to sit down right below it.Now since the CURT is going to tuck up so high, we're not going to see any of the crosstube, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out, whereas with the Draw-Tite we are going to see that crosstube coming out, but it is at an angle so we're not going to see as much. With the CURT, since it does sit behind the fascia, we are going to have to do a little bit of trimming on the fascia to allow the receiver tube to come out. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Mazda CX-5 - Curt

Speaker 1: Today on this 2016 Mazda CX-5, we're going to review and install the Curt trailer hitch, part number C12170. Now, this is one of the smaller hitches that you can put on your CX-5, and it's great for a variety of applications. First off, it's a trailer hitch, so if you've got a real light-duty trailer, some single axle trailer with 12" wheels on it, this would be a perfect match for that kind of trailer. Also, if you're not going to be pulling a trailer, this is going to be great for a bicycle rack. This 1 1/4" size does lend you up to a variety of bicycle racks, and up to four bikes carrying capacity, in some cases. Also, if you run out of room inside your vehicle, and you need to use a cargo carrier, this will work with a variety of those as well.As you can see, not much is showing on the hitch. All we have is our 1 1/4" opening right here, and our safety chain loops. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Volvo XC60 we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 75671.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now one thing you'll notice about this hitch, the majority of it is concealed behind our rear fascia. We only have a little bit sticking out at the end of the frame on each side. One nice feature that this hitch has that others on the market don't is we have this tab here that's welded onto the frame of the hitch. Now what this tab does is provide us with a connection point for any of our electrical harnesses that we may have in order for us to tow our trailer.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver we have our tubular steel safety chain loops so we can hook on our safety chains from our trailer. One nice thing about these is we can clip them in on the front, the side, or the back. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2012 Honda Odyssey, we will be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three trailer hitch receiver, part number 76025.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now what many of our customers with Honda Odysseys have complained about is that the other hitches on the market for the Odyssey, they hang down really low underneath the fascia. This one, however, is a completely different story. It's tucked up completely behind our fascia, giving us better looks, and also improving the ground clearance on the vehicle. So we don't have to worry about the hitch dragging on the ground, ever pulling in a steep driveway, or going up a steep incline. On the side of our receiver, you'll find two pin holes. The one closest to the front of the vehicle, which is the larger diameter hole, is our industry standard 5/8 of an inch standard hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. more

And there's going to be a wide variety of accessories available, whether you're looking for a standard ball mount, a cargo carrier, or a bike rack up to four bikes. The way we're going to mount all of accessories is going to be through the hitch pin hole here. more

Best 2017 Toyota Tacoma Trailer Hitch Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The most popular hitch is going to be the CURT. This is part number C13264, closely followed by our Draw-Tite. This is part number 75238.Now one thing that's going to be a little bit different in the installation of each hitch, with our CURT you can see the side plate comes up and it turns in towards the middle of the vehicle. On the Draw-Tite, it comes up and it turns towards the outside of the vehicle. Now with this turning toward the outside, it allows for easier access to the bolt that we're going to put on each side here closest to the rear of the vehicle. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Honda CR-V

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Honda CRV we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number is 76128. Here's what our Draw-Tite hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed on our CRV. It is gonna sit right below our bumper and that cross tube is gonna be visibile, but it's kind of angled so it's not gonna be very intrusive and sticking out.Since it's a class three it's gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening which is gonna make it practically unlimited when it comes to accessories. That's gonna mean we're gonna be able to use anything from a standard ball mount, a cargo carrier, all the way up to a four bike rack. The way we're gonna mount all of our accessories is gonna be through this hole towards the front of the vehicle and it's gonna accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip, they're not included in our kit but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3.The secondary hole towards the back of our receiver tube here is gonna be exclusively for the J-pin stabilization device. What that's gonna do is you're gonna have your standard hitch pin that's gonna go in and then this hook here is actually gonna apply pressure to your accessory on the inside of the receiver tube so it keeps everything nice and snug. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best custom fit trailer hitches available for the 2018 Dodge Challenger. We're gonna be taking a look at two class three hitches today. First we have our Curt, part number C13236. Follow that up with our Draw-Tite, part number 76145.Now there are class two options available for the Challenger as well, but something that's kind of odd that we noticed is even though the class two hitch is only gonna have an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, the bottom of them tends to be lower or closer to the ground than what we get in our class threes. But that's not a huge difference between the two, but it can certainly help going in and out of parking garages, driveways, situations like that. Both hitches are also gonna offer a 5/8 diameter pinhole. This is the hole you'll wanna use to keep your items in place. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max Frame Custom Fit Class III trailer hitch receiver, offering the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, it's part number is 76104.Now this is what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see the receiver tube opening comes out past the end of the bumper slightly. This is really going to be a benefit when it comes to accessories in your hitch and getting them past the spare tire. Other hitch designs for this model have it tucked in a little but further, which has its advantages for off road purposes and things like that, but if you're hauling bike racks, cargo carriers, the Class III design's going to work out really well, there's a lot of options available and they should be out past the edge of that tire if you have a stock tire. Now to secure all of those items in place, you'll always want to use the larger pinhole that's located closer to the front of the vehicle, it's 5/8ths of an inch in diameter. You can see there's plenty of room there, so regardless of what type of accessory you want to secure your items with, locking hitch pins, anti-rattle bolts, hitch immobilizers, really any of those are going to work out well. The smaller pinhole located a little bit closer to the rear of the vehicle, that's for use only with the J pin stabilization system, which is another form of anti-rattle device. Now, you'll see the plate style safety chain connection points here, those are going to be nice, large and open. more
