Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the bearing kit for the 1000 pound to 2200 pound axles that have the one inch diameter spindles. Now the 1000 pound to 2200 pound axles, they come in two common bearing combinations. Now it depends on the spindle that was used. Your hubs and axle could require either 2LL4643 bearings or the 2L44649 bearings. There's only about a one 16th of an inch difference in the spindle diameter that these two bearings fit. more

Now, this is going to fit your 1 1/16-inch BTR Spindles, and this kit is going to contain everything that you need to let you replace the bearings, races, and seal on one trailer hub. So, taking a look at the bearings here, obviously these are gonna be both be the same and you probably can't see the numbers etched around the rim or the perimeter there of the bearings, but the inner and outer bearings are both L44649, and then the races, and again, the number's gonna be etched there at the the top there, both of the races are L44610. And the seal's gonna be 1.250 inches, and the cotter pin is also included. So, this is what you're gonna get in this kit, and again, this is going to be for one trailer hub. more

So when it comes to trailer maintenance, these caps are the most part of it, right After a while, a lot of times, they end up just getting wore out. A lot of times, they get banged up and damaged from reinstalling 'em and prying on 'em to get 'em removed and things like that. So what I like to recommend is whenever you get inside of your hub here to maintenance your bearings or do whatever else it is you're doing, I just recommend always putting new caps on it. This is going to replace the oil bath or grease cap and O-ring and the plug on your AL-KO 6K, 7K, and 8K axles. As you can see there on your screen, this is going to be a direct replacement for those AL-KO and Dexter oil caps. You see the model numbers of the AL-KO and the Dexter there for you, so I have that on your screen there for your easy reference. It's got a 3.155 outer diameter, and it's 1 3/8 inches tall, and it's what they call a drive-in grease cap. So folks, once again, this is a drive-in grease cap. You're gonna drive it in for installation. You can see it's got the tapered kinda inside here, and that part would get put inside of the trailer hub, and you'd most likely take a block of wood, or maybe something just big enough, a rubber mount or something to tap it in, to where it's grabbing in place on that hub. more

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Valcrum Universal Threaded Aluminum Oil Bath or Grease Cap, for the 6,000 pound to 9,000 pound axles. Now, this part here will replace your oil bath or your grease cap, your O-ring, and the plug on these axles or disc brake kits. The axles it'll work on is the 6,000 pound, 7,000 pound, and 8,000 pound eight-bolt axles, the Dexter 6,000 and 8,000 pound axles with the screw on caps, the Dexter 9,000 pound axles before October of 1989, and the Lippert 8,000 pound axles, and the disc brake kit it'll work on is the Kodiak 8,000 pound hub and rotor disc brake kit. This part, as you can see, will include one cap. We have the watertight O-ring seal already put on here. more

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, we're looking at a Fulton grease cap, which is a drive-in grease cap. Now this is gonna be for your trailer hubs. Again, it's a drive-in, meaning you're gonna kind of hammer it in with a soft rubber mallet and maybe a block of wood or an actual socket of some sort that fits right over that lip. It is made of a nice 20-gauge steel construction. It has a flange diameter of 1.943 inches, a crown height of 0.69, a flange length of 0.31, and an overall height of one inch tall. more
