Trailer Spare Tire Mount and Dolly Bracket by Dutton-Lainson Spec Review- Video
Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dutton-Lainson trailer spare tire carrier and dolly wheel bracket. Now, this spare tire carrier is also designed to install on your trailer tongue so that your spare tire once it's installed can also be used as a dolly wheel for moving your trailer around. It is designed as you can see here to fit three inch by three inch or three inch by four inch square tongues just by moving these mounting bolts to whatever hole you need. It is designed to work with eight inch, nine inch, or 12 inch wheels that'll have a bolt pattern of four by four inch or 5 by 4-1/2 inches, which are probably the two most normal bolt patterns for trailer wheels. Now ,when you do put your spare tire up on here, you wanna use two bolts and nuts if you're gonna use it on a four-hole bolt pattern wheel and use all three bolts and nuts if you're gonna use it on a five-hole bolt pattern wheel. more

Trailer Spare Tire Mount by Dutton-Lainson Review- Video
Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Trailer Spare Tire Carrier by Dutton-Lainson. Now this is a U-Bolt style spare tire bracket that'll hold your spare tire to your trailer frame, and the way it works is this will install around your trailer frame, and the two threaded bolts will go through two lug holes on your spare wheel, and then it's held in place with these two included nuts that are then tightened down to hold the spare tire to the bracket. There's no drilling required, and, if you notice, the extra length on this bracket allows handling of wide tires. This will work with from 8 inch up to 13 inch wheel sizes, and it will fit four or five hole bolt patterns. more

The Low-Down on the Flint Hill Goods Spare Tire Mount- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this Flint Hill Goods Spare Tire Carrier for your trailers. This spare tire carrier is gonna mount to your trailer frame and it can accommodate trailer frames up to three inches wide and up to five inches tall. You can see here we've got a ton of room as far as width goes, and even with the mounting holes in the bottom to choose from, we're not at the maxed out position, so we've got room to spare with this frame. The plate that holds the tire is angled upward a little bit to help give us a little bit more ground clearance, because if it did stick straight out, we would be sacrificing some clearance with this lower mounting point on our trailer. This is designed to work with spare tires that have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern or a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. more

Now, this rigid mount spare tire carrier allow you to carry your spare tire on your RV or your mini-motorhome bumper. It is designed to mount right here on bumpers that are measuring four inches or 4 1/2 inches square, and it is designed to hold up wheels up to 17 1/2 inch diameter size. You can see, I'm gonna zoom in here, just so you can see, this is where your spare tire will mount to. Once you mount your spare tire, these bolts will come through and you'll tighten the nuts down the hole within the place, this bracket on the bottom here will hold it, and what's nice is this long bolt on the bottom actually has a hole drilled through it, so you could actually put a padlock through there once you install your spare tire. more

Let's check it out. It's gonna fit four, five and six sized lug wheels, so that's gonna be that there. And then it's gonna fit a diameter of up to 16.5 inches, that's because the slider holes here or where carriage bolts are can move in or out just a little bit to accommodate all those different sizes. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Brophy Rigid Rear Spare Tire Carrier for 4" RV bumpers. So, this is what our spare tire carrier looks like installed. And of the whole kit, its composed of just a few components, so it's super easy to put together. We have our U-bolts down here, which is what attach the main tube to the actual RV bumper. Then we have the main tube, and then we have this little C-clamp here, which attaches the spare wheel and tire to the actual main tube. Now everything is going to be zinc-plated as far as the hardware goes. more

All About the Lippert RV Spare Tire Mount with Winch- Video
Today we're going to take a look at the Lippert Components Spare Tire Carrier with the winch and it says a 71 inch overall width. Now this Replacement Spare Tire Carrier will install on the underside of your trailer chassis, so it allows you to feel at ease with the spare tire aboard your trailer, but not having the spare tire take up any valuable space that's on top of the trailer.The Spare Tire Carrier features this winch to raise or lower your spare tire and hold the spare tire in the stowed position. It's a sturdy steel frame construction, and includes this winch extension here, which is turned by using a manual hand crank, which is not included. The extension length on this extension, or this winch extension is about 35 and a half inches. Now using a manual hand crank or a Scissors Jack handle or even a three quarter inch socket or wrench applied to the end of this winch extension will allow you to operate the winch. So if you turn this counter-clockwise, you can see it will lower your spare tire. more

So the spare tire holder is going to be made of steel and it's going to have a zinc-plated finish to it, so it's going to resist against rust and corrosion a little bit better than those powder-coated holders. It is going to be able to hold tires from nine inches all the way up to 14 inches and also fit trailers that are five inches tall by three inches wide. So you are going to have a high offset of four and three-quarter inches. And, basically, what the high offset is, is from where we mount it on our trailer, our wheel, the top lug that we put in here is going to be about four and three-quarter inches. more

Today I'm going to be showing you a little bit more about the CargoSmart spare tire holder for E-track and X-track.Now the nice part about this spare tire holder is that you can move it wherever you have in E-track system or an X-track system. You can move it to get it off the floor and up on your wall or secured safely onto your floor.So with this mount, your spare tire is going to be mounted on the inside of your trailer, on your E-track. It's not going to be mounted on the outside of your trailer like other spare tire holders are. So when you leave your trailer unintended, you're not going to have to worry about your spare tire being stolen.So when it comes time to use your spare tire, you just simply take a 19 millimeter wrench, loosen that nut and then spin the nut off. more

This simply just wraps around the framing of your trailer, and then your wheel goes over the threaded areas here, so each threaded post needs to go through a wheel stud hole, and then you secure it in place by installing both of the included nuts.It's a heavy-duty half-inch diameter steel construction, has a zinc-plated finish to resist rust and corrosion. This will fit eight-inch, nine-inch, 12-inch, 13-inch, 14-inch, or 15-inch wheels with a four or five-lug rim. It will fit around a three-inch wide trailer frame. more

What to Know About the Brophy Trailer Stake Pocket Spare Tire Mount- Video
Today, we're taking a look at the Brophy Trailer Stake Pocket Spare Tire Carrier. This unit allows you to mount your spare tire up and out of the way. The base of the carrier simply inserts into a standard two by four stake pocket on your trailer. Mounting hardware is included, so you place this into the stake pocket on your trailer.Then, you secure it in place by taking the mounting plate, take a bolt through the mounting plate, and then you thread it into the nut that's welded onto the base right here. Then, what you do is you just tighten that up until the mount plate is secure to the bottom of the stake pocket on your trailer. Today we're taking a look at the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier. This is a U-bolt style carrier that provides a mounting point for your trailer's spare tire. It simply installs on your trailer's frame, tongue, or rails. It comes with these lockable brackets that thread onto the thread portion of the U-bolt. They come together and allow you to install a padlock, that way you can deter theft of your spare tire.The U-bolt clamps around your trailer frame and inserts through the bolt holes of your spare's wheel. The brackets thread onto the U-bolt and snug up against the wheel to hold it in place and then you would use a padlock to lock the brackets together so they can't be removed from the U-bolt.Padlocks are sold separately. more
