The onboard battery is going to let you charge devices in real-time or store energy for later, and this two-panel design is going to fold in half for convenient storage on the go. And this has a battery that is going to be right at 3,200 milliamp hours, and this does feature a USB-A port for charging your devices, and then you have a mini-USB port here to charge the battery on this panel conventionally if the sun is not available to charge this up, and then those have these ports, each have these rubber plugs that's gonna protect it from the elements. more

So it's not really there to power your coffee pot or run your refrigerator, but rather it's a smaller panel because it has a smaller purpose. This is a 50 watt panel which means that if you do have medium to larger devices, like laptops to portable fridges, this will work with that. This is a nice device to have with you, especially if you're going off the grid, but you still want to be able to charge up any of your smaller electronic devices, like your smartphone, maybe a small portable speaker, your POV cameras, things like that, just smaller electronics.So you can have this and have them directly powered up from it, or you can also pair it with one of the Goal Zero battery packs, like the Flip to actually go on here and be an intermediary. The reason why you'd want to maybe get one of the packs is to help this, especially if you're going to be in somewhere where there's more low light, if you're going to be in an overcast area, and maybe the power output would be a little bit lower, sometimes they can cause your smaller devices to stop charging if they detect a low output, so by having one of the battery packs going along with this, it can help to eliminate that issue and keep everything flowing as it should.It does not come with one of the battery packs. I would suggest getting the Flip 12, the reason being that it can fit into this little slot at the back of this panel, so it works really well to just snap right on there and then you can power your device off of that. more

Now this is going to be a great option if you're about to go out on an adventure, and you don't want to have your generator be your sole source of power, you don't want to have to rely on any shore power, you want to go off grid and off road. If you're worried about getting stranded out there without any kind of power, especially in the heat, this is a great way to make sure that your RV batteries, that we run a lot of accessories off of, are going to stay charged and working properly. So if you don't want to have to rely on your generator power, all of your stuff inside your RV, this is a great option, especially if you already have permanently mounted solar panels on the top of your RV, this is a way to extend your solar capacity. Especially if you're going out in sunny climates, solar is a great way to go.As far as what we have with this kit, it does come with a carrying case, which is what we're looking at right here. It has two zippers on either side to get that closed up, so we can easily protect our solar panels and keep them nice and safe, so I'm just going to undo this. more

This solar panel does not hold a charge, it actually produces power when it's exposed to the sunlight, and then you connect it to recharge a portable power station. It is constructed of a strong tempered glass with a nice aluminum frame that has added corner protection, and the solar cell type they use is a monocrystalline design.It is designed for temporary or permanent installation. You can see it has this nice integrated kickstand that'll actually let you adjust the angle to capture more sun.
