Trimax Trailer Hitch Pin with Flip-Tip Feature Review- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Trimax Flip-Tip Pin for your two inch by two inch receiver. Anytime you have a two inch by two inch receiver on your vehicle and you wanna put an accessory in place, you're gonna need a five-eighths pin and clip. And that's what we have here. But traditionally you're probably used to something with a cotter pin at the end, which is a great way to do it and it's kind of the tried and true way to do. But with that being said, you have something that you can lose. And if that clip is gone, this is not gonna stay in place and you can't safely tow anything down the road or have those accessories in. more

Hands-On with the JR Products Hitch Pin Clip- Video
It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the JR Products Replacement Clip for Hitch Pins that are five eights in diameter. Now this is chrome plated, so it's gonna hold up to any elements that you throw at it. So if you plan on leaving your ball mount and your pin and clip in place, this can be exposed to those elements and still be a little to hold up long term. Now this is three and a quarter inch length. It's important to make sure that with your pin and clips, sometimes it's tight in these areas and you need a smaller one. But for most pinning clips I would imagine, or most hitches, you'll be able to get this in place no problem. more

Gen-Y Hitch Pin and Clip Comprehensive Review- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Gen-Y Pin and Clip for two-inch hitches. When it comes to getting any accessory into your hitch, if you have a two-inch, you're gonna need a 5/8 pin and clip, and that's exactly what this is. But you may notice that the clip portion is quite a bit different, and that's what makes it unique to the Gen-Y. This unique design, you can see wraps around it, so it's got full coverage here. It's not gonna be coming out extremely easy. It's gonna be locked into place, but when you wanna remove it, that's where it is fairly easy to do, and the reason being is, as I twist this, it's gonna use the pressure against this rounded portion to really kinda help push this back for me, where other pin and clips, you're fighting against the pressure to be able to un-spring that clip enough to pop it out. more

All About the Curt Hitch Clip- Video
It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the CURT Replacement Clip for Hitch Pins that are gonna be half inch or five eights. Now this one's gonna be zinc coated, so it's gonna hold up to corrosion long term. And it's also gonna work with pins that have a hole, or if they're grooves. This is gonna be a pretty crucial part because it may seem pretty basic, but without that clip, this can rattle out and then soak in your ball mount. So having that clip to hold everything in place is going to be pretty important to make sure that you can travel down the road safely, whether having accessories, or if you're towing. Around the shop we do lots of hitch test fits and accessories that we put a pin and clip in place and losing the clip is pretty common. more

Review of TowSmart Hitch Pins and Clips - Pivot Lock Hitch Pin - TS92FR- Video
Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our TowSmart Pivot Lock Hitch Pin. It's a 5/8 inch diameter and it's made for two by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Now, folks, this is a standard 5/8 inch thick pin, and instead of having a clip on here, you got this little pivot lock they call it, and it's basically spring-loader right here. So, how you would use it, you would push that in and then that's gonna allow it to spin up, and then you'll be able to take it outta the hole or put it in, and then once you got it in place, you simply pivot this either way and then push it back, and now it's in there, it's not going nowhere until you physically push down the spring retainer and then pivot once again to get it to spin. So, very simple design. more

Curt Hitch Pin and Clip for 3" Hitches Feature Review- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're gonna take a look at the Curt pin and clip for your 3" hitch receivers. So if you purchased a ball mount that did not come with a pin and clip or a lock, this is what you're gonna need to secure it to the receiver of your truck. So I'm gonna just slide it in and the diameter on your pin is right at 5/8", which is pretty common. And it just works like any other pin and clip. You're just gonna insert it through the hole, slide your pin over the edge. Over time, you know, your pin and clip is just from being used, can get corroded on the outside, that zinc plating can rub off and this is what happens to it. more

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this linchpin from Redline. A good reason to replace one of your older linchpins is if it's worn out or dented. You can see the ring here isn't circular like it used to be and it doesn't have (linchpin clanking) that same snap so it's gonna stay in place, and that's not good 'cause you're gonna use one of these to hold arms in place. (linchpin clanking) So, on this flatbed trailer, this is where we want to put our linchpin. It's gonna go right here, (ring snapping) snap into place. more

The Low-Down on the Curt Pin and Clip for 2" Hitches- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt 5/8ths pin and clip. Now this is gonna be for your two inch hitches and it's gonna allow you to hook your accessories into your hitch. Most of your ball mounts when you pick them up will not come with a pin and clip and a lot of accessories will have their own. But if you're getting something secondhand or yours doesn't you are gonna need a pin and clip to have any accessories stay in place. So a pin and clip is obviously very crucial when using your hitch. The Low-Down on the etrailer Trailer Hitch Pin and Clip for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the etrailer 5/8ths pin and clip for two inch and two and a half inch hitches. The thing that really makes this one stand out as opposed to other pin and clips and I really like it, is the black E-coat. So it's gonna hold up not only to rust and corrosion but also look really good in the process. And not only is the pin powder coated, but also the clip so you have a full black kind of stealthy look to give it a little bit better look than the normal chrome ones that you see. It does have a three and a half inch usable span which is really nice, not only for a two inch hitch but also a two and a half inch to where it's still gonna be usable and able to get the clip nice and easy. Sometimes your span's a little bit short and it makes it pretty tight to get your clip in place. more

A Closer Look at the Hitch Pin and Clip for 1-1/4" Hitches- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the JR Products half inch Pin and Clip Combo for inch and a quarter inch hitches. Pin and clips are a very simple, pretty basic thing, but it is pretty crucial if you're planning on putting any accessory into your hitch. And most ball mounts will not come with a pin and clip, so this is a good chance to pick one of these up, and that way you can get your ball mount attached. Now sometimes your accessories that you pick up, like a bike rack or a cargo carrier will come with one, but if you need one for your ball mount or just an extra, this is a great one to pick up. Now the usable two and three eight span is really handy because you don't really want to have to fight to get your pin out. So what you can do is just slide this over and you have plenty of room to be able to get a finger around the clip here to pull it out. more

Now this has a 2 3/8 span and it's gonna work with your class I and class II. It does not come with the clip to get this in place. So if you're like me and you've happened to lose your pin but you still have your retainer clip from a previous pin then this is gonna be a great option because you just simply slide this in place to whatever accessory you may have, like our ball mount here. And it's gonna have a hole where you can line up your clip, put that in place, and you're ready to go. Now, it's also nice that it is chrome-plated so you don't have to worry about this rusting or corroding long-term even if you keep it on the outside of your vehicle. more

Complete Breakdown of the Curt Hitch Pin and Clip for 1-1/4" Hitches- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt pin and clip with rubber coating for inch and a quarter inch hitches. Now most of the times when you pick up accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, they're gonna come with a pin and clip. And if you have a Class I or Class II, which is gonna be your inch and a quarter, it's gonna be a half-inch pin and clip. So when you pick up a ball mount, so on my car here sometimes I put a utility trailer that's pretty small but it does not come with a pin and clip and you're gonna need something to hold that in place. So might as well get one with a little bit of comfort here with the rubber coatings on the pin and clip separate. The rubber coating is pretty nice here because on a cold day like today, it keeps this not so freezing cold and also you just have a little bit more grip on both of them. more

Now when choosing accessories for your vehicle generally your cargo carries and bike racks are gonna come with a pin and clip to keep them in place. But if you plan on using a ball mount for towing a small trailer like I do here you're gonna need a pin and clip to keep that in place, and also this can be a great replacement if you do lose your original pin and clip from those accessories.
