It's got a five inch sidewall here. It doesn't sound like that's very high, but honestly, if you have heavy things, it's a lot easier to get it up and over a lip like that, and it still makes for a great anchor point for your tie downs. more

Now, adding a cargo basket to your Ascent is gonna allow you to get more cargo area and get these bigger bulkier items out for your adventure. So let's take a closer look at it and see how well it fits on our vehicle. Because it is a fixed carrier, you don't have any tilt, so you won't have access to your cargo area when you're loaded up. However, you do have a lot of capacity and a lot of space to get this guy all the way packed in pretty well. Test Fitting the Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier - 2025 Ford Maverick- Video
How's it going, Maverick owners This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at the Reese Cargo Basket for your 2025 Ford Maverick. Now this is a great carrier if you're looking to get a lot of big, bulky items out on the road with you. However, the trade-off is that it's gonna block off some things in the back of your vehicle, so like your license plate on the lower passenger side, portions of your taillights, and access to your tailgate can all be impeded from this large carrier. However, you can switch that out by having a license replacement kit along with a light kit. That'll give you a lot more visibility on the end here, and you have the ovals already preset for that. This guy is made out of powder-coated steel, so that's gonna give you a lot of durability and hold up against the abuse of being on the back of a vehicle. more

So let's go right to it. So one of the big benefits of this carrier is you're gonna be able to open up your hatch most times with this carrier. So for starters, we wanna have a pretty big gap between the carrier and your lift gate. In our case today, I actually can open up our lift gate without making contact with anything, but in some cases, if you have a larger lift gate, which I've encountered before many times, you'll have to tilt this back. more

If you have a 2024 Ford Expedition and you're looking for a type of cargo carrier that's just gonna be a little bit more lightweight and just easier to work with when you're loading your heavier accessories on here, then the Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier is gonna be a great option for you. Now, this is gonna have a 500 pound weight capacity, so it's perfect for those heavier things like wood or generators. And the reason why I like it for those type of accessories is gonna be because of this sidewall here. 'Cause typically when you're lifting up something pretty heavy from the ground, trying to not only lift it up this high, but also above a little sidewall, having something that is short is just gonna make it a little bit easier to work with. Now the whole carrier itself is gonna have a decent size too, this is gonna be 23 by 60 inches. more

Now the Grand Wagoneer is an excellent family vehicle. You've got that third row of seats and plenty of cargo space, especially on the L model here, but you might find yourself running out of cargo space when you're going on those long family road trips and that's where a cargo carrier like this can come in really handy. This option from etrailer in particular is gonna give you a ton of usable space and a 500 pound weight capacity, so you can really load it down with a lot of stuff, whether it's just looking to carry extra things that don't fit in the back or maybe some heavier items like coolers, maybe a generator, something you don't wanna put in your vehicle, it can live out here and say separate from the rest of your cargo and your passengers. Now the thing I really like about this carrier is that it tilts away when loaded to access your cargo space and you can do that by pulling both of these pins and clips on the front of the carrier and tilting it away. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at the Lets Go Aero GearCage T6 Extra Large Cargo Carrier on our 2019 Winnebago Spirit. Now when you go with a cargo basket, usually you're trying to get your bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you, like these extra large totes or your generator, maybe a big cooler, a smoker or grill. Generally speaking, when you go with your standard size cargo basket, you would grab these two big items and that would be it where this is gonna give you a lot more real estate to get those bigger bulkier items out on your journey with you. A couple of features that stand out to me with this guy is firstly your safety. You're gonna have your reflective tape here that's gonna pick up all your lights to give you more visibility and your three function LED blinkers, they're gonna work with your hazards, your turn signals, as well as your brakes. Now the construction of our carrier is black powder coated steel with stainless steel hardware. more

Hi, this is Scott with etrailer, and today we're gonna be assembling a Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier with Ramp. To start the assembly of our rack/ramp system, what we're gonna do is get all of our hardware out and make sure we have everything. And what it looks like here, everything's matching up with our instructions. With our carrier outta the box, we want to have the ramp side facing the passenger side of the vehicle. We just have it elevated up on a cart here so we can get it, the bolt locations and everything underneath here. Just have this little strap that holds everything in place, undo that. more

Hi, this is Scott with etrailer and today we have a 2015 Nissan Rogue with our Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier with ramp. Nice thing about this cargo system is it is made of aluminum, so it isn't really heavy, but it is designed to carry stuff like your little scooters or your lawnmowers, snowblower, stuff like that. It's a really good system. It's got the ramp system on it. It's got 60 inch ramps on it, so they are held in place here. Just undo both of your pins here. more

How To Assemble the etrailer Cargo Carrier Cage- Video
Hi, Jesse with etrailer. Today, we're going to be assembling the etrailer Cargo Carrier Cage. This cage is available in multiple kits that come with a cargo carrier that we've already verified fits well with the cage. However, if you already have an existing cargo carrier and are looking to add on a cage, just make sure that you have a 24x60 carrier and it has 20-millimeter square tubing on it. Either way, if you are assembling the entire kit or you already have your own cargo carrier, it's going to install essentially the same way. Hi, I'm Bruce with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Reese cargo carrier on our 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now you may be asking why you need a cargo carrier. One, it's gonna save space inside your vehicle, or if you're hauling a lawnmower, you don't want the lawnmower in the vehicle with grass clippings or gas fumes, so you can carry it on the outside. Now if you notice, we do have plenty of room in our RAV4, but say we want to go on a camping trip, and we wanna load this down with coolers. We don't want a bunch of coolers in here 'cause we want our other camping gear or our clothes in here. more

So let's check it out. I really see this being something more for those cases where you're using it for work, or if you just have a lot of sand or any really large bags like concrete that's gonna have a lot of spillage. So if I open up or hatch, we can really see how much space we have too. This isn't a whole lot of room to work with, especially if you have a lot of people with you. more

How's it going, neighbors Today, we're gonna check out our Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The Flint Hill Goods Cargo Basket is gonna allow you to get your generator and those bigger or dirty items out on the road with you without taking up space from your pets or passengers. Your carrier is 22 by 49, as far as the inside usable space. As far as what it's gonna do on the back of your vehicle, you're gonna lose access to the back of the Jeep, unless you have the top off and you can reach over the side of your back door. Your license plate is obstructed, and you're probably gonna block a portion of your backup camera as well. However, your back window and your tail lights are wide open. more
