Now this will be something that's gonna be great to prevent if you have anything like a ball mount on the back of your vehicle, you're driving down the road, you won't have to really worry about this rattling around inside that receiver because that can get kind of noisy and if you have any experience with this clamp, let us know how you like it and either a comment or review or even take a picture of it to kinda let us see how you're using it and what type of ball mount you're pairing it up with. But the one we have today is specifically designed to work with your two and a half inch receivers. Now if you have a two inch receiver, there is another variation that is a little bit smaller and it'll still work. But in that case, I'd actually recommend something else. more

And what that's going to allow you to do is take up any slack for any accessories that don't already come with an anti-rattle device, like our ball mount that we have in right now. So as it stands, without this device being used, (ball mount clacks) you're going to hear a whole lot of noise back at your trailer hitch because there's nothing that's really securing this fully in place besides just that hitch pin. So what we'll do is we'll tighten up by drawing down the bolt that's inside of here onto our accessory. more

So this is gonna clamp onto the collar of our receiver tube, and what it's gonna do is tighten down at the bottom here. That's gonna draw this plate down against the corner of our ball mount here, or whatever accessory we have in there. No need to overtighten it, and it's gonna make it really solid here. more

If you've ever been annoyed by a rattling hitch in the back of your vehicle or your cargo carrier wiggling around making a bunch of noise or maybe even your bike rack wiggling around, we have a few options here we're gonna take a look at and see if we can get that problem fixed for you. So this is what I really don't like with just having the regular 5/8 pin. You get a lot of movement and going down the road, I can hear that. And if I have gears stacked up high enough to where I can see it, I look in my rear view mirror and I can just see everything wiggling around back there and it kind of drives me nuts. Really the biggest thing you need to make sure is that it has a lip because this essentially just grabs onto the lip around that receiver and holds it into place. This guy's gonna work on your two-inch receiver, and once you set it up, it's completely tool-free. It's gonna remove the slop that you have in your receiver tube to give you a easier ride. So, let's take a closer look and see what's special about it. So, on our '23 Chevy Silverado, we just put it in the two-inch receiver and I would never suggest that you tow without having a pin securing your ball mount. But just to get an idea, you saw how much it was shaking before, and now, just with the hand tightening, you can see how much slack that you're taking out of the receiver, so that's gonna give you a smoother ride and cause less wear on your truck and trailer. more

Checking Out the etrailer Anti-Rattle Locking Hitch Pin- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at the D-shaped Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin. This guy is locking, and it comes with two keys that's gonna allow you to secure it directly to your receiver. Now, the diameter itself is right at 5/8 so you can use it in just about any standard two-inch hitch. However, if you do have a Benton Shifts&Grins or a Benton ShiftShow Bike Carrier, this D shape is gonna allow you to secure it and screw in just by using one hand. The D shape of our pin still fits your standard 5/8 diameter receiver hole, so it'll work fine for that, but it is also V-shaped and that's gonna work with the Benton Shifts&Grins and the Benton ShiftShow Bike Carriers. 'Cause on the inside of those guys, that's gonna allow you to feed it through (bolt clattering) and you can actually bolt it on using one hand. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Gen-Y anti-rattle clamp for three inch hitch receivers. Now this is going to help take any play out of your receiver tube for your three inch hitches, so any of your hitch mount accessories, like your ball mounts, cargo carriers, that sort of thing, you're not gonna have to worry about them rattling and swaying, causing a lot of noise and shaking any of your cargo. And this is gonna be very simple to get installed. You'll just slip the clamp here over top the shank on your hitch mount accessory and then the lip here is gonna go on your hitch receiver. You can see we've got these bolts that you'll then tighten down and that's going to lift up on that receiver tube or on your shank that's in your receiver tube and so that's gonna take out any of that play, give you a nice solid connection. more

Cameraman All right. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt Anti-Rattle Kit for the hollow shank accessories on a 2" hitch. Now this kit will stop rattling and vibration of a hollow shank accessory or ball mount, when it's mounted in your two inch hitch receiver. Basically you'll insert this bracket into the shank, secure it with the spreading pin, the pin will pull the shank tightly against the receiver to limit the rattle. And then on this end you'll have the grooved area that your clip will clip on to hold it into place. more

Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the MaxxTow Anti-Rattle Clamp. This is going to help to take out any shake, rattle, or play in your hitch mounted accessory, not really intended for towing or any horizontal load carrying. So ball mounts, or anything that you're going to be using to tow behind, this is not intended for, but anything like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, mobility carrier, motorcycle carrier, anything like that should be just fine. Basically the way it's going to work as these four bolts are going to press up against the shank of your accessory and also your hitch to eliminate any movement there. So it makes for a much more comfortable ride. more
