Adding a reducer sleeve to your vehicle is gonna allow you to be able to use your two and a half inch accessories and your three inch receiver. So your sleeve is constructed of high carbon steel with a pretty decent powder coat. Just the life that any towing accessory is gonna live is a life of being beat up, thrown on the ground and everything. So eventually that powder coat's gonna scratch, you just hit it with some spray paint, some rust resistant paint and just head on down the road. Now the way that it fits into your receiver, it just basically doesn't add a lot like some additional reducers will. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at how the Kuat Pivot V2 passenger version swing away hitch extender fits on our 2020 Ford F-150. Now, this extender allows you to use your Kuat bike racks, but also swing them out 90 or even 120 degrees away from your hitch. Here on the F-150 though, there's even another feature that I found pretty impressive. Even without swinging away everything, just because this extends the bike rack out a bit, I'm currently using the Piston Pro X by the way, I'm still able to lower the tailgate. So it does depend the location of your pedals, but notice how this tailgate fully lowers if I need quick and easy access to the truck bed and I don't wanna go through the process of swinging things out and away, this is a great option for me. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Pivot 2 swing away base. This is gonna be a great accessory to add to your Jeep Wrangler because without it, there are very, very few accessories out there, whether it be bike racks or cargo carriers that are gonna work with the rear door in your Jeep. You can see we've got the Kuat Pivot opened up with our NV 2.0, our Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack on it, and you can open up your door all the way without making contact with your bike rack. The biggest point that I wanna make with the Kuat Pivot 2 is that it's gonna give you your access back to the back of your Jeep. It's cargo carriers, bike racks, any type of hitch accessory, almost none of them work with a Jeep Wrangler because of the spare tire and the door. more

And the whole reason that you might need one of these is really just going to be dependent on how high or low your motor home and your towed vehicle sit in comparison to each other. And in our case, a lot of cases, the motor home or coach is going to be up much higher than your towed vehicle. So by using this in the drop position, it's gonna lower the attachment point down here for our tow bar, keeping it nice and level, that way it can perform properly and won't prematurely wear out other components, so on and so forth. Now this is gonna be a great option for those of you that flat tow your vehicle 'cause that's what this is designed for. And when flat towing your vehicle, it's imperative that you keep the height of your receiver and the base plate within a three inch range. And a lot of times once you get everything hooked up, tow bar's not at a good angle, and then you're left finding a rise or a drop. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Adjustable drop height receiver. And this is gonna be a great option for any of you that are flat towing your vehicle with a two and a half inch hitch on your RV and you need to get a little bit of adjustment to get your tow bar up in line and nice and level with your vehicle. Now this is gonna allow you to have not only an eight inch rise like we have here, but also an eight inch drop and pretty well everything in between. Each pin is gonna be an inch adjustment as you drop down so you can really fine tune it exactly where you want it to go. And being a two and a half inch means that it's gonna be pretty heavy duty at coming in with a weight capacity of 15,000 pounds. Now this high-low adapter allows for proper positioning of your tow bar. This'll make up for height difference between the RV's hitch and the towed vehicle's base plates. And this can be used in either the drop position, like it is in now. And that'll measure seven inches from the top of the shank to the top here. more

In-Depth Review of the Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve- Video
Brad Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt Reducer Sleeve that's gonna take our receiver tube opening from a two and a half in to a two inch. So, if you have that two inch ball mount and you've upgraded to a heavier dutier truck and or maybe you just have a couple trucks in your fleet no worries. You're not going go have to buy a whole separate ball mount. You can go ahead, put that sleeve in place and be able to put your two inch ball, no problem. I really like that I can from my pickup with a two inch receiver to my diesel with a two and a half inch without having to get any additional equipment. Now it also has two notches on here which makes it nice and easy. more

All About the Trailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver- Video
So you have a two inch hitch but you have a inch and a quarter accessory for that hitch. Well, etrailer designed a couple of different reducers to reduce your two inch down to an inch and a quarter so you can use those accessories. This is a hollow accessory so we can use a anti-rattle device to go on the inside which is nice and a couple measurements for you. So the bigger hole is gonna be on the hitch receiver side from the center of that, to the edge it's gonna be two and a half inches. And then from the smaller hole to your accessory side right here is gonna be 1 and 9/16 inches. The distance between these two on center is three inches. more

This hitch extender is designed to be used with your Brophy hitch mounted step. Because of that, it's not designed for towing or for extending your other accessories, like your bike racks. You do have a little bit more wobble than those appropriate steps. But if you have your tailgate down in your truck and you still need that extra height or traction to reach your ladder rack or put items into your truck bed, this is what this hit extender is for. more
