Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster diode wiring kit for flat towing. When you're flat towing your Jeep Cherokee down the road, you're gonna have to have some way to get a lighting signal to the back. It's just like pulling a trailer. If you're pulling a trailer with your Jeep Cherokee, you're gonna have to get those lighting signals to the back of the trailer, and that is to let others know what your intentions are when you're driving down the road, whether it's stopping, turning, or changing lanes. With this particular kit, the reason I like it so much is that it's gonna install in line with your factory wiring behind your taillight. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit on a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. When it comes to flat towing any vehicle, there's gonna be five main components that are always gonna be required and you may have some extra pieces that you'll add in depending on the vehicle. But starting with the first component, it's gonna be your base plate and that's gonna be the structural mounting point on the frame of the vehicle that allows you to hook up the rest of the components and safely tow it down the road. That connecting point between the base plate and the RV is gonna be your tow bar. You also, just like pulling a trailer, have safety chains so that way in case of an accidental disconnect, it's still attached from RV to the vehicle. So we have our cables attached there. more

Today, we have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT custom-fit flat tow wiring harness. Now, when it comes to flat towing your Jeep Wrangler, you're gonna have to have lighting signals on the back of your Jeep in some way, shape, or form. We like to typically utilize the taillights on the back of the Jeep to transfer those same lighting signals that are coming from the motorhome. You can think of it a lot like when you're towing a trailer behind your vehicle or behind your Jeep, you have to be able to get lighting signals to the back of the trailer so that others know what your intentions are if they can't see the taillights on the RV. Today we have a 2018 Ford Fiesta and we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Roadmaster diode wiring kit for flat towing. When you're flat towing your Ford Fiesta behind your motor home, you're going to have to get the lighting signals from the back of your motor home to the back of your Fiesta, much like when you're towing a trailer. You have to be able to let others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. If you could imagine having another Ford Fiesta behind this rig, they would not be able to see the taillights on this motor home. So you have to have these signals back here so that they know when you're turning left, when you're turning right when you're driving at night, so that the running lights are on and when you're coming to a stop. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster universal wiring kit for towed vehicles. And this is gonna be a different option than you're typically used to for light functions. A lot of times on a flat-towed vehicle, you're gonna be running diodes and that's gonna tap into your factory taillights. The old school method of bulb and socket of having its own separate bulb and its own system and tapping that into the taillight just doesn't work very well anymore. A lot of taillights, you run the risk of drilling through, having moisture build up, and a lot of 'em just don't have space to be able to account for that in the taillight pocket, and that's where these 10-inch LED strips come into play. These two strips are side-specific, but they're gonna allow you to have your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights, and it's going to run to a 4-pole in the front of your vehicle. more

Adding diodes to your Ford Maverick is gonna allow you to accurately transfer the lighting signals from the back of your motorhome to the back of your truck. You can think of this, the best example is if you're pulling a trailer behind your motorhome, you're gonna have to have lights because the contents on that trailer may block the lights on your motorhome. Setting up the Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT custom fit vehicle wiring for flat-towed vehicles on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now, this kit is custom fit to our Wrangler as well as a few other generations of Wrangler as well as the Gladiator. And when it comes to flat-towing vehicles, one of the things that's really come with technology is diode wiring, and long gone are the days of magnetic tow lights, mostly because vehicles today just aren't magnetic. And that's one more cable that you have to run down the vehicle and it's just one more thing to store. So having diode wiring is really nice because you can simply plug in your umbilical and it'll send the running lights, turn signals, and brake lights to the towed vehicle lights. That way, it keeps you safe and legal. more

Installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit on your 2024 Ford Maverick- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit on our 2024 Ford Maverick. A diode wiring kit is designed to tap in the back of your factory tail light, so that you can accurately transfer the lighting signals from the back of your motor home to the back of your Maverick. Essentially, if you look at it as, like you're pulling a trailer with your motor home, you have to do the same thing as if you're pulling a car behind your motor home. You have to be able to transfer those lighting signals, whether it be your blinkers, your stop, or your running lights, you need to transfer those back here, so the others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. There are a couple other solutions other than diodes when it comes to choosing a kit for being able to get those lighting signals back here. more
