So with the stoplight switch kit, it's really only gonna be used in a few different scenarios. One of the big ones is whenever you're setting up your Jeep to be flat towed behind a motor home, and the reason that you may need this is because of these supplemental braking systems that are out there, particularly the ones that use an indicator light like the Stay-In-Play Duo, for example, made by Demco. When it comes to flat towing your Wrangler, there's gonna be five main required components that are gonna be the absolute minimum to tow it down the road. Starting on the vehicle side, we have our base plate and that's going to have the attachment point for our tow bar to connect between the towed vehicle and the RV. Going along with that, we have safety cables that'll keep it all together in case of an accidental disconnect. We also have a braking system and also diode wiring. How to Install the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System on a 2014 GMC Acadia- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look, and installing, the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System for flat-towed vehicles on our 2014 GMC Acadia. This kit is gonna be a great fixed braking system that is going to work with coaches that have electric-over-hydraulic or hydraulic brakes. So if you have a coach that has air brakes, you're gonna wanna look at the Air Force One from Demco, which is a great system. It works very similar to the Stay-IN-Play DUO, but it's specifically designed for coaches with air brakes. Now this one is available in two different configurations and it really just comes down to the indication of braking. So there's one that has a diode light that will light up on the towed vehicle when you hit the brakes, or you can get the wireless CoachLink, which I recommend to a lot of people. more

If you're flat towing your Traverse, regardless if you go with a fixed system like the Stay-IN-Play Duo or a portable system, it is required when flat towing this vehicle. So you do have quite a few options when it comes to braking systems and really it comes down to the coach that you have. If you are going with a fixed system and you have hydraulic or just standard brakes on your RV, you're gonna want to go with the Stay-IN-Play Duo. If you have air brakes on your coach, that's where we're gonna use the Demco Air Force One. These are tried and true braking systems that we've installed countless of and we have really good results with them. more

Today we have a 2019 Ford F-150, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System. When you look at this particular kit on our website, you will see two versions. One will have a physical LED light that will stick to the backside of your mirror or somewhere on your dash that you can see it from your rear view camera on your coach. The other one is gonna be the system that we installed, and that is the wireless coach link kit. When you're flat towing your F-150 down the road, you are gonna have to have a way to apply the brakes in your vehicle so that you're safe when traveling down the road. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at Etrailer. Today on our 2023 GMC Canyon, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Supplemental Braking System. Before we get into that though, let's just check this kit out and make sure it's going to work for you. Before we jump right in, I do want to touch base on the most frequently asked question that we get asked in regards to setting up your Canyon to be flat towed, and that's what parts am I gonna need So there's five main components. You have your base plate, your tow bar, your safety cables, your tow bar wiring, your supplemental braking system, and there are a few extras that I do recommend for these vehicles. One of them being a battery charge line kit, which is going to, more or less, maintain or trickle charge your battery whenever you're flat towing your Canyon down the road. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo fixed braking system on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. When it comes to flat towing your Jeep Gladiator, there's gonna be five main components that are gonna be required to safely do that. The first one is gonna be on the vehicle side, being the base plate. That's gonna structurally mount to the frame of the vehicle, and give you the mounting point for your tow bar, as well as your other components. Your tow bar is gonna be the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. And just like a trailer, you have your safety cables that's gonna keep everything together, just in case things were to accidentally disconnect. more

Today we have a 2024 Ram 1500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Demco Air Force One supplemental braking system with Coachlink. In addition to your supplemental braking system, the other four main flat towing components you're gonna need is going to be a base plate, a tow bar, safety cables, and your diode wiring kit. This is what our main operating unit's gonna look like. This is what's going to receive the air signal from your coach and then transfer it out for whenever you want the brakes to be applied. You can transfer it back out of this box down to the floorboard of our driver's side. more

In addition to your supplemental braking system, you're gonna need four other main flat towing components in order to safely flat tow your Ford Maverick. One is going to be your tow bar, another one is going to be your diode wiring, your safety chains, and then your base plate. A supplemental braking system in your Ford Maverick is going to be designed to apply the brakes in the Maverick while you're flat towing it behind your motor home. Motor homes are not designed to stop a vehicle when it's stopping itself. more
