Hey neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins Endurance in-bed, fifth wheel and gooseneck, seven pole wiring harness here on our 2024 Ford F-250. If you're towing a fifth wheel trailer or a gooseneck trailer, then having an in-bed seven way is going to be a game changing option for hooking up your trailer. Now typically most trailers don't really come with enough cable, so when you're having to loop it over the tailgate and then plug into the standard seven way at the back of the vehicle, you're usually really, really tight on there and you're kind of angling it up quite a bit. So it typically is gonna wear out the cord right at the plug. And since most trailers come with a molded plug, there's no way to just replace the plug. You're now replacing the whole cable. more

Hi everyone, Bruce here at Etrailer. Today, we're gonna take a look at and install the Hopkins Bed Mount Wiring Kit on our 2022 Ram 2500. You may be asking yourself, "Why do I need a seven-way plug for a trailer connection in the bed of my truck when I've already got one on the bumper on the outside of the truck" Well, if you are hauling a fifth wheel or a gooseneck trailer, you're gonna really want your wiring inside the bed of the vehicle versus having a wire coming out and hanging over the back of the tailgate and plugged into your seven-way at the bumper. That is the whole reason behind that. It's gonna keep all your cables and everything nice and safe. And plus, it won't wear, you won't have a cable dragging on the back of your tailgate and possibly ruining the paint. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness DIY Installation - 2022 Acura TLX- Video
Hey neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, CURT's T-connector vehicle wire harness here on our 2022 Acura TLX. So if you're like our neighbor today and you already have your hitch installed, or you're looking at getting one installed, along with that, I highly recommend picking up a vehicle wiring harness. So that way, if you do plan on towing a trailer, you can easily hook up your lights and have those lights transferred from your vehicle back to that trailer so you can remain street legal, or in a lot of other cases, if you have a cargo carrier or bike rack that also has lights on it, which typically is gonna be the case whenever you have a real small car, just like this, where your bikes, or your cargo on that carrier, could potentially block your rear tail lights. So this would allow you to easily hook up some lights so that others can see exactly when you're stopping or if you have your turn signals going on, so that everyone around you knows what's going on and everyone can get home safe. As far as installation goes, with this ModuLite wire harness being a connector-style, that's just gonna plug right into your taillight wiring, and with the ease of being able to just pull out the liner here and then get straight access to your tail lights, this honestly is something you could easily do at home within a few minutes. The only tools you really need is a trim panel tool, so that way you can pop some things out without accidentally marring up any of your paint. more

If you have a hitch on the back of your Express van, it's definitely a great option to pick up wiring at the same time, because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you need to make sure that you have the proper wiring to be able to get your running lights, turn signals, and brake lights on your trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And the great part about this one is, it's super easy. It uses factory-style plugs that just snap into place, and really that's all there is to it. You're just gonna be routing up some wires, zip-tie 'em up, and before you know it, you'll be able to plug into that trailer and be able to hit the road. And now if you do have this SUV, you're probably wanting to take your kids out on a camping trip and need to tow a trailer. Two essential components is going to be your trailer hitch and then also that wiring so that you can transfer your traffic signals from the vehicle back to that trailer so everybody on the road knows exactly what your intentions are. Now with these kits, there are a few different options as far as the installation goes. You could go with the universal kit, which will require splicing into the wiring for your taillights, which can be a little bit daunting if this isn't something that you regularly do. Hi there, Jesse here with etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Hopkins Endurance wiring harness with 90-degree seven-pole connector. This is for fifth wheels and goosenecks, and we'll be installing it on our 2023 Ford F-250. Normally, your seven-way would be connected to your trailer up in the pin box area and draped over your tailgate, plugged into the factory wiring harness location here. Seen a lot of trucks who have done that. Down the road, eventually, they'll start rubbing here on the plastic or even on the paint of the tailgate. more
