Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here @etrailer.com. And we're going to be taking a quick look at the BoatBuckle Personal Watercraft Tri-Cam Buckle Strap. This is going to help to secure down the stern of your personal watercraft or your water scooter. This is going to attach to either side of your trailer, and you'll have plenty of slack to widen this out. And then the middle portion is going to be a loop. So you can loop that through a tie-down point on your water scooter, and then hook it on to the hook, and tighten everything down. more

SmartStraps Gunwale Tie-Down Strap Review

Randy: Hey guys, Randy 00:00:01, here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at a gunwale strap. Now, typically, these are going to be used for securing your boat. A lot of times, it's a jon boat, a duck boat, something like that, down to your trailer. It helps to prevent side to side movement, but also helps to prevent that bouncing we sometimes get, when we get into the rougher roads, getting to a boat ramp or a launch. This one's going to be two inches wide, it's polyester webbing, and something I really like about this, we'll take a look at it in just a minute, but it has S hooks on it, so we can either connect it to the frame of our trailer, if we have some eye bolts there to connect it to, or we can connect it to itself and just make a constant loop. So, we're bringing everything together and holding it down really well. more

Each end of our strap is going to have a metal S hook that does have a vinyl coating on it. It's going to help make sure it doesn't harm or scratch the finish of whatever you're securing it to. Now, it's also nice about that. more

ProGrip ME Series Cam Buckle Tie-Down Straps Review

Jake: Hey guys, Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to use the ProGrip tie down straps. Now these are going to be a cam buckle style tie down strap that's going to help to secure your load easily without having to use a ratchet. The kit is going to contain two straps, but of course if you want to pick up more, if you have more loads or if you find out you really like this style, you can go ahead and pick up a few more kits. The straps are going to be one inch in diameter and be six feet long. So they're going to work great for the same application we're using on our cargo carrier here. It's going to be enough to be able to get over a taller load like we have with our cooler and to get across lengthwise of our cargo carrier to get our cargo safely secure. The straps are going to have two rubber coated hooks on each end to help to protect anything that you're hooking it onto. more

Review of SmartStraps Tie Down Straps - Transom Stern Boat Straps - 348500- Video

Review of SmartStraps Tie Down Straps - Transom Stern Boat Straps - 348500

Today we'll be taking a look at the SmartStraps Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs. These are going to help to secure the rear part of your boat or the transom, also known as the stern, and keep it from rising up when you're transporting that boat down the road on your boat trailer. They're made of a durable, heavy-duty material, and the buckle has a little cover to keep that in place in transit. We open that up, that gives us access to that buckle. So basically, we just have this slack running through the two pieces of the buckle. If we pull on either end of the hooks, we can loosen that up, get some slack in there, and then once we have it in the spot that we need it to be, flip that buckle over, and that'll cinch everything up.You want to get it close to where it needs to be, and that buckle is just to take the last bit of slack out of the line and make it really nice and taut. Then you can roll up the slack in the strap, and tuck it underneath that handle, so it can all stay nice and neat with our keeper. more

Today we're going to take a look at the SmartStraps two inch wide by 16 foot long gunwale tie down strap with a 333 pound working load limit for a quantity of one strap. Now this heavy duty tie down strap will firmly secure your boat's gunwale, which is the side edge of your boat to your trailer. A strap will help limit the vertical movement of the boat while you're towing. It does use a nice easy release buckle here. Has the coated steel S hooks on each end to help protect your boat's paint finish from any scuffs and scratches, and the hooks are designed to attach to the trailer frame and hold the boat to the trailer. And you can see the hooks have these safety latches on there. Now gunwale tie downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a set of transom or bow tied outs. more

BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps Review- Video

BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Ratchet Transom Tie-Down Straps Review

Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at the BoatBuckle line of heavy-duty ratchet transom tie-down straps. Here's what our strap looks like installed. Now the reason you're going to want a strap like this is because not only will this secure your boat to your trailer, which in some places it is required by law to have a transom strap, but this will also keep the boat from bouncing up and down on the trailer as you're going down the road, which could cause damage to the bottom of the hole. Now what sets this strap apart from others on the market is because of a couple unique features. We have an easy to use ratcheting mechanism, and then behind it on the back, we have this webbing right here, which acts as a way to protect the boat from the metal of the ratchet mechanism. This will prevent any scratching or marring from occurring. We also have a rubber coating over our hooks for the same purpose, this will prevent scratching and marring, and we don't have to worry about damaging our boat. Now the webbing of our strap is made of a polyester material, which is weather-resistant, but yet still very flexible. more

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the ProGrip cam buckle tie-down straps. These tie-down straps let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer. They're even great for securing cargo on your hitch mounted cargo carrier or roof rack. These straps do feature a unique design, so you'll notice here that the hook is actually in this loop section under the buckle, so when you release this and you pull out the slack, that lead portion increases, and because it's doubled over like that, the designed is supposed to give increased tensioning power or two-to-one mechanical advantage compared to standard cam buckles. It allows you to apply more force while tensioning than a standard cam buckle tie-down strap does.On this end we do have a built-in soft loop, so you can take the hook, place it through that loop portion there. This would be great for securing the strap around handlebars. more
