Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Tow-Rax Aluminum Battery Box. Now, this battery box will let you safeguard your battery from the elements, helps protect your trailer or your work area should the battery leak. It is designed to fit most Group 24 and Group 34 size batteries, but it also can be used as just a storage box for a variety of items. Now, it will include everything shown here on the table, it includes the battery box itself with the lid, it includes the battery hold-down with the threaded rods and the hardware for installation, comes with the lid latches with the hardware for installation, and over here you can see it comes with a 90 degree elbow and a PVC vent hose on it, I'm gonna show you where all these pieces go in a minute here, and it comes with the two rubber grommets. We'll start with the latches, but if you look on each side, you'll see a notch up here and then two holes here. more

Deka Battery Box Installation - Enclosed Trailer- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today, I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Deka Vented Battery Box here on our enclosed work trailer. The installation of this battery box is fairly simple, honestly, the hardest part really is just going to be hooking up to your battery, in this case, just because we we're rolling off of our breakaway battery, instead, just finding the wires, which even then, that only took a couple of minutes to really trace out. So all in all very simple install, you can easily do this yourself. To start off our installation, we're gonna find the right spot where we wanna place our battery box. We have our breakaway battery right here, so I wanna make sure that I'm not gonna come into contact with that, I wanna be able to easily open that lid if I need to get in there. So right here, kind of where I have it is how I'm going to place it, I'm gonna take some self-tapping screws, I'm gonna shoot two in on this side, one in on this side, and I'll see if I can really get one into this corner of the box down in there too, but with three of them, we'd be more than good. more

A Closer Look at the Commercial Grade Battery Box for Group 4D Batteries- Video
Hi there RV camper and boat owners. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at NOCO's line of their marine-grade commercial battery boxes. These are available in different sizes, so you can get the appropriate one that's going to match your particular battery or multiple batteries if you've got a battery bank. This is an extra heavy duty battery box that is designed more for commercial use for RVs, campers, boats, things that have a lot of oscillation around 'cause your battery in here, you can keep it strapped down but in a weaker box, it could eventually crack or make its way loose from the case. Something like this is a much heavier duty container that's going to hold our battery, ensure that it stays in place, and it provides a good dampening box for our battery to rest in 'cause we don't want any of those forces to transfer from the road through our trailer into our battery, potentially causing it to crack and leak. With a box like this, it's gonna minimize those effects. more

The poly propylene plastic construction of our battery box will resist corrosion from rain, battery acid, and salt water. It meets the Coast Guard specification 183.420 making it certified for marine use. Comprehensive Review: Tow-Rax Battery Box- Video
Today on our car hauler, we're going to be installing the Tow-Rax Battery Box in a Polished Aluminum in a 14 inch long, 9 inch wide, by 10 3/4 inches tall. Part number TWSP14BP. Here's what our Tow-Rax Polished Battery Box looks like. You will notice that there is a blue coating on it for now and that's just to protect it and keep it from getting scratch. Once we get our installation complete, we'll finish removing that covering so that we don't have any scratches during the installation. We're going to be mounting our battery box here on the tongue of our car hauler trailer. We're going to first need to choose the location as well get it centered here on the tongue. It does come with all the hardware that you will need to mount the box to the trailer itself. more

Powerhouse Battery Boxes - Marine Battery Box - PH13228 Review- Video
Today we'll be reviewing part number PH13228. This is the Power House GC2 Strap-Style Battery Box for 6V Golf Cart Batteries. It's going to secure and protect the lead-acid battery. Its made of polypropylene plastic so it's going to resist corrosion and impact. Its also going to stands up to corrosive effects of exposure to rain, battery acid and saltwater. It's going to allow potentially explosive gases to escape via built-in vents here in the top of the lid. We have one right here and one right here. more

All You Need to Know About the Battery Box Vented- Video
Today we'll be reviewing part number DW03188. This is the Deka Battery Box with a nice vented lid. So it's going to be vented for safety, allowing potentially explosive gases to escape. This is a U1 vented polypropylene battery box with a polypropylene material. It's going to stand up well against corrosion and impact. It's going to protect your battery in marine and commercial applications. It also includes all the installation hardware, so you're going to get a nice heavy-duty strap to secure the lid to the box, and the box to your surface. more

Hands-On with the Tow-Rax Battery Box- Video
Today, we'll be reviewing part number TWSP12BP, this is the Tow Racks battery box with a nice polished aluminum finish. This battery case is going to safeguard your battery from the elements; it's also going to protect your trailer or work area should the battery leak. This can also be used as a storage box for a lot of different types of items. You get the built-in latch openings that's going to allow you to install the latch system and secure the lid to the box. On the underside of the lid, you have a nice rubberized gasket seal. It's going to form a nice fit. It's made from a durable lightweight aluminum construction with a nice polished finish. more

Today we'll be reviewing part number PH13035. The is the Powerhouse Strap-Style Battery Box for Group 27 batteries. It's going to secure and protect the lead acid battery. It's made of a heavy polypropylene plastic material, so it's going to resist corrosion and impact. It also stands up well to corrosive effects of exposure to rain, battery acid and salt water. It's got the built-in vents here on the top of the lid. These are going to allow potentially explosive gases to escape. more

Today we're going to review part number Ph13034. This is the Powerhouse strap-style battery box for group 24 batteries. This battery box will secure and protect a lead acid battery. It is made of a polypropylene plastic to help resist corrosion and any impact, and it will also stand up to any corrosive effects of exposure to the rain, battery acid and salt water. Also on the very top lid of this, if you'll notice right here, and right over here, it does come with vents. These will allow the potentially explosive gases that might fill up on the inside when the battery is in there, to escape through these vents. more

Breaking Down the Battery Box Vented- Video
Today on our enclosed trailer, we're going to be installing the Deka Vented Battery Box, part number DW03188. The battery box we're going to be installing today is for a U1 size battery. As you can see here, our garden tractor battery fits nicely in our box. We're going to be mounting it up here in the front or the nose portion of this enclosed trailer. To secure it to the floor of the trailer, we'll be using the supplied strap as well the couple hooks that mount to the floor that the strap will run through. We'll pick our location, then we'll secure the brackets to the floor using the supplied screws. Now that we've got our box location chosen, go ahead and set our little strap pieces down; we'll need to put the strap down. more
