All About the etrailer Adjustable Channel Mount Cast Trailer Coupler- Video

What really makes this coupler adjustable is the channel bracket, as you see here, our trailer does have a channel bracket and a channel bracket is required for this and is sold, separately. But again, if you notice all the holes you can adjust the coupler to the height you need to get your trailer level. So this allows you to have a nice secure trailer coupler on your hitch ball. So you can attach this to your trailer and it has a unique locking mechanism, so let's take a look at that, and make sure that this is going to be the right fit for you, and your application. So you can see it's a nice cast construction, it is a zinc plated steel, so it's going to be sturdy, but also corrosion resistant. To operate it, you're just going to pull the pin and clip out of place, they are attached on there, there's a little spot where they're linked to that coupler so you can't lose that, so it's something that I like to see, and then to open this up or to unlock it, you're going to pull back this collar.You do want to watch your fingers though, because it is spring-loaded, so just pull back on that. more

Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog collar-lok adjustable channel mount coupler. Here's what our coupler's going to look like once we have it installed. There's a few different reasons why you might want to replace your coupler that's existing on your trailer, for us, we actually picked up our trailer used and it had a lunette ring and that's not what we have on our truck, so we wanted to match everything up using a ball mount so that we can hook up to our truck without changing too many things.Another reason why you might want to replace the coupler, is if you have a traditional style coupler like here, those use a wedge to go right up against the ball. As I lift up the handle, you can kind of see it moving on there. more
