Now, this tailgate and truck bed seal kit is going to help protect the contents of your truck bed, and this is designed to fit your 2007 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500s, and then your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra LD and Limited, and then your 2007 to 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500s and 3500s. I do want to point out that this kit will not work with your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Classics. Now, this seal kit was going to work with tonneau covers, toppers, camper shells, and lids, keeping water, snow, and dust out of the bed of your truck. I do wanna point out that if you have a spray in bed liner that may require modification to work with this kit, but overall this is going to install quickly and easily. more

Review of Stromberg Carlson Tailgate - Tailgate - VI-4000- Video
Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Stromberg Carlson insert for your louvered tailgate. This works with the 4000 series from Stromberg Carlson, and basically this just kind of fills in that gap for your tailgate as it bows down to allow your fifth wheel to get hooked up, so that little dip in the tailgate leaves a gap. This fills the gap. It is made of a durable metal construction with a nice powder coat. So it's going to look like a factory tailgate, like in addition to that, you do have to make a little bit of modification to your louvered tailgate. more

Hi there 3500 owners. Today on your 2015 Ram 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stromberg Carlson's fifth wheel or gooseneck Louvered Tailgate. This eliminates the issue of you having to lower your tailgate down every time you want to back up to hook up your fifth wheel trailer. Hey guys. Today we're going to take a look at the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for your factory tailgate for most of your late eighties to early nineties Ford model trucks. Now this is a vented tailgate so it's going to give you better vision for when you're driving or backing up, and it's also going to improve your gas mileage. While this cutout is also going to be good for loading any 5th wheel or gooseneck trailers so you won't have to lower the tailgate to get those loaded.Now if you got to tailgate that's broken or damaged or you just don't want to mess with it anymore, a lot of times with these older trucks they'll just be very outdated and just very weathered down. So you can see this one is, it's very hard to pull that handle up to get it open, so it'd be good idea to replace it. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ram 2500, we're gonna be installing Stromberg-Carlson's 100 series fifth wheel tailgate, part number VGD-10-100.Now this is what your tailgate's gonna look like when it's installed. As you can see it still matches the curves of the body of your vehicle. It will allow you to use a goose neck and still keep all of your cargo secure in the back of the bed of your truck. And when you're ready to load up the back of your truck, you'll want to push in on the tailgate to release some of the pressure, pull out on the release lever, and do the same on the other side. You can now lower it down and load up your cargo. Solid steel construction will make sure all of your cargo's nice and safe and it's got a black powder coat finish on it that will help prevent rust and corrosion. more

This is going to be an economical solution for someone who uses their fifth wheel all the time. This way you've got full access to your fifth wheel while your trailer's hooked up, and you don't need to worry about coming into contact with your tailgate.Now, there are releases for the latches here, so you can still open your tailgate if you need to. Pull each one individually, and it will lay down and rest on your bumper. Now, if you want, you can drill a hole and reattach your original cable. It comes with a black primed finish, which already looks great with our black truck here but can be painted to match any color truck.The large opening at the top of your tailgate is going to measure about 34 inches, and the opening at the middle of the tailgate is going to be about 14-1/4 inches. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Ram 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series Fifth Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock, part number VGD-10-4000.The open design of our tailgate improves visibility and allows us to easily hook up to our gooseneck or a fifth wheel trailer in most applications without having to lower the tailgate. Now, one of my favorite things about this tailgate is how nicely it follows the contours of the body on our truck.One great feature about this tailgate is that it is lockable to help prevent tampering and theft. Once you have it locked, you can't turn the handle and you can't open the tailgate anymore. To unlock our tailgate, we simply reinsert the key, turn it back counterclockwise, twist our handle, and opens right up.Now even though our tailgate has a plastic construction and is extremely lightweight, contrary to popular belief, it can support up to 100 pounds of weight, making this ideal if we have a long load and we need to lay some lumbar down back over our tailgate in order to get it home. One great feature about the plastic construction of our tailgate is that being plastic we don't have to worry about it rusting over the course of time. This will last us for many years down the road with a reliable and durable finish. more

Our tailgate is constructed of a plastic composite, which is super lightweight, and yet very strong. This will give us many years of rust-resistant service because, being plastic, it won't rust. Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series Fifth Wheel Tailgate with open design, part number VGM-14-100. The one thing that's going to set this tailgate apart from others that I really like is that it is a one piece design and there's no plastic trim pieces to install. Now not only is it going to give us a better field of view when we're backing up or just driving, but it has a nice cut out and allows us to hook up our gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer that much easier. The louvered design is going to help with visibility but it's also going to cut down on wind noise and drag, which could help improve our gas mileage. The tailgate is going to follow the lines of our truck nicely and it's got a nice black powder coat finish to resist rust. The prime finish is going to allow you to paint it to match your truck. Today on our 2016 Ford F150 SuperCab we're going to be doing a test fit on the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Louvred Tailgate, part number VG-15-100. The Stromberg Carlson Louvered Tailgate is the perfect addition for your 5th wheel or gooseneck. It features that convenient cut out design which is going to improve visibility when backing up to or towing that 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer. The vented design here is going to help reduce drag and it may improve your fuel economy. The metal latches make it easy to use for when opening and closing. With it down I'd like to point out that it does have a 100 pound weight capacity, so be sure you don't stand or sit on it. The whole thing is made out of a heavy duty steel tubular construction. more

Today on our 2017 Ford F-150, we're going to be testing fitting the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series Fifth Wheel Louvered Tailgate with locks for Ford trucks, part number VG-15-4000. The strong and durable plastic tailgate is great for both gooseneck and fifth wheel applications. It has locking capabilities to prevent theft, and is louvered to reduce wind noise and drag while you drive. Especially this protects your OEM tailgate by replacing it for those trips with the fifth wheels and goosenecks so you don't damage it as you travel. The tailgate is blow-molded, which makes it lightweight yet strong, and also makes it corrosion and rust resistant. Right now we have it in its lock position. Today on our 2012 Ford F250 we're going to be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate, part number VG-97-100. This is what our tailgate looks like fully installed. It's going to have that nice big cutout so you're going to have access to your 5th wheel, as well as when you're backing up you're going to be able to see. The louver design is going to cut down wind noise and drag, possibly increase your gas mileage, and make it easier to see when you're backing up to your trailer. As you can see, this is a custom fit tailgate, and the lines of it are going to contour perfectly to the body of our truck. Now, this is made of a heavy-duty steel tube construction, so it's going to last a while. It comes with this nice gloss black finish, but it is paintable if you want it to match your truck. more

Husky Liners Tailgate Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body- Video
Today on our 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, new body style, we'll be having a look at the Husky Liners Premium 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Locking Handles, part number HL15240. It's a nice streamlined, aerodynamic look that follows all of the body lines of our truck bed nicely. It is constructed of a nice aluminum finish that won't rust or corrode over time. We have our nice cutout here for when we're towing our 5th wheel or a goose-neck trailer, we don't have to worry about having the tailgate down in order to doing tight maneuvering or backing up to it to uncouple or couple. Now this tailgate is lockable to help prevent tailgate theft. To do that, just insert your key, turn it counterclockwise and now your tailgate's locked. To unlock it, just insert the key again, go clockwise, and then you have access to your bed again. more

Stromberg Carlson Tailgate Installation - 2016 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 1500 we will be taking a look at and installing the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate, part number VGD-10-100. Now this tailgate is going to have many advantages. One is it's going to keep all your items in that you have in the bed of your truck, while still towing around your 5th-wheel trailer or gooseneck trailer and having plenty of turning space. Secondly, it's going to have a black powder coat finish and be fully welded, so it's going to prevent any kind of rust and corrosion as well as stand up against the elements. Not only that, but it's going to help with air flow and wind noise as you're driving down the road. We'll go ahead and pull out on both rings to release the tailgate and then lower it down. Once you put it up into position, we'll pull out on both those rings to release those latches, raise it up, press in, locking our tailgate in place. more

Husky Liners Tailgate Installation - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be installing the Husky Liners Premium 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Locking Handle, part number HL15240. As you can see, our tailgate fits very nicely on our vehicle. It has a nice, contoured look, and follows the lines of our bed nicely. Now, if we want to secure our tailgate, it is locking, so we can insert the key, turn it counter-clockwise, remove the key, and now the handle can't be opened and it'll secure our tailgate onto our vehicle to prevent theft. Now, when we want to open our tailgate again, just insert the key, turn it clockwise, remove the key. We'll pull back on the handle and lower the tailgate on down. As you can see, it'll allow us to easily tow our 5th Wheel trailer without having to worry about when we're making turns, having possible damage to our tailgate. more

It's custom design is going to contour to match your truck perfectly, and it's made out of a light-weight aluminum construction. Here at the very center, the opening is going to be about 15 1/2". At the very top, we're looking at about 27 1/2". more

Husky Liners Premium 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate Installation - 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab, we'll be installing the Husky Liners Premium 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with locking handle, part number HL15330. This tailgate's great for, if we want to tow a goose neck trailer like we have a hitch for here, or a 5th wheel trailer. It will allow us easily hook up to our trailer, still our bed secure and, as you see, anything we put in here, like our tow straps to secure a vehicle on to our car hauler or whatever we need to tie down on to our trailer, we can still have in the bed of our truck without having to worry about them coming out. The aerodynamic vents allow air to pass through smoothly and improve our fuel economy when we're driving down the road. As you can see, this tailgate follows the contours of our vehicle nicely and the silver paint on it matches the silver paint on this truck very closely. It's nice feature, you don't have to worry about getting your tailgate painted if you own a silver truck. This tailgate features a lightweight aluminum construction, which is half the weight of traditional steel tailgates. It has a multi-coat finish that offers superior rust resistance even if it's scratched and has weight capacity of 200 pounds. Okay, the first thing we need to do is get our factory tailgate off. more
